Absolutely not, for some reason it was the doctor who instructed us to push the button once my grandma finishes her dinner 🥺 it was my first time staying at the hospital and I was young. The nurses bolted through the door panting and I was so confuseddd , amazing heroes right there 🙏🏽😇
I hit the yellow button (not emergency) and the dumb young agency nurses still came careening through the door asking "are you okay???" thinking I'd pressed the red one becuase they don't know how to do their jobs.
I work at a hospital help desk in the Surgical ICU Dept...I see those nurses crawl out of there.
I said nurses were my hero’s long before it was an over used phrase.
The one nurse screaming she doesn’t want to go into work got to me and the most...I bet a lot of them feel that way but the slap a smile on their face and do it anyway.

Hunty u mean do the vitals,get the water,change the patient,shower them,do blood sugars ,do EKGs, get them up for the day put them down for the day answer every fucking light for every thing u usually do on ur own at home but bekuz ur in the hospital all if a sudden ur hands don't work to hold ur own urinal when ur there for a broken toe ,,,,sureeee ,,just so u no if I told u how big my husbands is u wouldn't want me holding ur urinal any more ,,,just saying why all if us think ,,,,,,so unmmmm us doing everything except dealing the drugs although we are the dame middle man with no benefits lawwwwdddddd

I'm a phlebotomist and always ask my people if they need anything before I leave the room. I'm not gonna set off that call light to make a nurse get their water 30 minutes before shift change xD
My son spent 2 week's in the hospital & some of these worry me and some I totally have witnessed doctor's really won't do much and depend on nurses far more then they will ever admit 😕 & hello respect goes a long way.
I would say not to worry. It’s usually nurses and CNA’s role to provide direct care to our patients. We have the knowledge and expertise to let the doctor know if something is ever wrong. I think these videos can depict that we can be sassy but it’s just dark humor

I gotta say with the needle thing.. injections and ivs are waaaaay different than tattoo needles. >> I would rather sit through a full sleeve than get an iv. Worst one was in my hand. I could move it without feeling the needle move and I wanted to barf every time I felt it. I get that's babyish lol never said I was proud.
There’s no needle left in an IV
It's a flexible plastic catheter, not a needle. The needle is removed once the IV has been inserted.
