"What animals should I have?" No two homesteads or families are the same, and livestock choices should reflect that! Chickens, ducks, cows, goats, sheep, fish, the list goes on. What should YOU raise? Well, that depends. We're sharing the animals we have chosen, what we AREN'T going to be raising, and why. Maybe this gives you an idea if you're just starting out, or making changes (plans are always subject to change on a homestead!).

We are an American family living permanently in Ecuador, transforming a mostly-untouched 30 acres of jungle mountain into a working, self-sustainable, off-grid farm.
