- American Gun Craft's Diablo pistol. A very cool short, double barrel, black powder firearm. This nickel finished pistol originally came with rosewood furniture. The 3 finger grip and short handguard were replaced with American Gun Craft's full sized rubber grip and long rubber handguard. The paper cartridges were made using a 12 gauge paper cartridge kit from www.Cartridgekits.com
The loads shot were 80 grains of Hodgdon 777 fffg black powder substitute with just under an ounce of Hornady #4 buckshot. A good amount of kick and a lot of noise and smoke, but at 7 yards most of the shot missed the targets.

It originally came with plastic rosewood furniture, but I bought AGC's rubberized handguard and full size grip to replace them.

I use cup wads and sabots from ballistic products..so sweet....how much powder you using?
Most of these were 80 grains of Hodgdon 777 fffg. I had a couple that I loaded to 100 grains, but they were not pleasant to shoot.
I have been searching all over the Internet trying to figure this out for when my desperado comes. Could you do a huge favor and tell me what cup and sabot works in this gun. Thank you
Is this good for self defense
I guess. Sort of like a fork is "good" for self defence if you have nothing else available to you. The Diablo pistol is purely a range toy for me, although the intimidation factor would definitely be higher than a fork's.
