I have a question for you, the arcade music seems limited for those ones with expensive everdrive cartridges, so Iwas wondering, There is not a chance to add the option to run the music froma CD, using a SEGA CD? I shared the same idea with The developer of Doom Resurraction , and he Managed to add this option and is awesome cause the performance of the game gets even better. I grew up in the mid 90s. While I love the 8 and 16 bit era I have absolutely zero interest in earlier consoles, such as the Atari 2600. It’s 2023. I think a lot of people now see these 30 year old games as I saw the 2600. This type of content is for niche.

    • @Thor-Orion
      @Thor-Orion Год назад +7

      @@poopy_fingers3324 I disagree. Sprite art from the 16 but era is still beautiful and the games have depth and are infinitely replayable. World of difference between artistic representations of what they’re depicting. With 2600 and 8 bit stuff there is a ton of interpretation and imagination required, whereas with the 16 and 32 bit stuff it’s clear visually with often timeless music.

It's almost an MK Armageddon of all the MKs for Mega Drive, and is glorious. There are many versions and names, but the main one was "Ultimate Mortal Kombat Trilogy". When mk2 came out, I played it in a huge tent where the was 20 mk2 arcades lined up 10am in the morning. I was the only one in there playing. Used subzero. I made it too kintaro on one go. Then I lost, when I turned around too look. I didn’t know I had a crowd of over 20 people watching me. I got nervous and left lol. My 15mins of fame.

    Super Street Fighter already does have MD+ versions available
    MD+ Super Street Fighter II (3DO Arranged)
    MD+ Super Street Fighter II (Arcade Q Sound)
    MD+ Super Street Fighter II (HD Remix Arranged)
    MD+ Super Street Fighter II (Lord Hiryu Ver. 17-02-2022) (Arcade Q Sound)
    MD+ Super Street Fighter II (MS-DOS CD Arranged)
    Also I prefer the 32x edition of MK2 even over the Arcade original despite some of its graphical short comings the music is better

    This hack looks absolutely amazing! I loved the original and this upgrades it to how it should have been. I agree the acid stage looks a bit too dark. My only other minor complaint would be the characters are set further back than the original. I like the larger sprites closer up. Once again it's only a minor complaint

    • @maroon9273
      @maroon9273 Год назад +1

      Rom size probe used, is too small to improve any huge changes. 6 MB or more storage would've been much better for mk2 and mk1.

    • @joesaiditstrue
      @joesaiditstrue Год назад +2

      the sprites aren't further back, it's just that the arcade uses larger sprites. they had to be dialed down in size for the consoles

    Makes me wish I bought an Everdrive Pro instead of the Everdrive X5, specifically for the music. But I have a 32x and Sega CD attached to my Genesis and there are too many limitations that make the Everdrive Pro not worth it for me with that set up.
    Good video though!

    Perhaps the "desync" of the trees growling sound and animation is just that you're hearing the growling of a tree that's out of the "camera". If that's the case it's still weird and it should be addressed.

    Honestly, if you compare closely you will notce The Dead Pool, Wasteland, The Tower, The Armory, The Portal, looks much accurate in the retail version, those stages shouldn't have been modified at all. The only 2 that looks closer to the arcade are Kombat Tomb and Kahn's Arena

    like a MK DX port but plays and function like it was ported by Crawfish Interactive.

    This looks really cool I’ll have to try it out. I’ve always loved the Arcade intro, especially the music. I have it for Saturn (which i know ur not a fan of) and i’d let the intro play a couple of times sometimes.
    The MK music in general is good tho, it’s nice to hear all the old tunes in their Arcade glory.
    I agree too, variety is always a good thing. The player having choice will always be better than none.
