In 1998 I was in Beaumont hospital with cancer waiting to go for the operation the next day. I just wanted to go home as I was afraid. So I went down to the radio station in the hospital and asked them to play this song for me. It really calmed me down and made me feel that I would make it home. Its now 24 years later and all is good. So thank you Jon and Vangelis you helped save me :)
Agreed.....I never got the chance to see them live together, but I did get to see Kitaro and Jon Anderson in concert when they came to Vancouver BC. I was riding motorcycle couries at the time and had a earphones in under my helmet listening to CFMI FM when they annouced the Dream concert. I quickly zipped over to the local ticket shop and scored front row just off centre........Great concert.

This is simply one of the most beautiful songs I have ever heard. I had only a fragment of the song in my memory for decades. Tried for ages to find it. Tonight, I found my way home...
Way back in 1984 when I was 17 years old and in a dark place this song came over the radio, it gave me much needed hope and has, in truth, done so ever since.
Back in 1981 I was 15 years old . This mythical masterpiece came to guide me through the decades that followed. By Vangelis a greek musical mastermind!!
This beautiful track doesn't age. It gets me every time I listen to it - and that's going back to the 80s. It's like having a glass of water when you're really thirsty - boy I needed that! I'm sure Vangelis will have found his way home.
My dad died 26 years ago. And I still miss him. Not a day goes by without me thinking about him. One day, when it's my time to go. I will be able to tell him how much I love him.
One of the best music on earth... Speaks something to my soul and I can not put it in words. Makes we hope and pray we all find whatever we're looking for... love and more love in our homes with loved ones.
The perfect reflection song for my beloved husband of 25 years who suddenly moved on from his physical life at age 46 March 2022 During the service my kids and I felt strongly that this was the right choice. Found myself smiling through trears and mouthing along. "somehow we're going somewhere" 💜 love you Forever.
Came for a listen as soon as I heard about the passing of Vangelis today........... this song has always sent shivers down my spine as it builds and builds......
This is my all time favourite song. It's helped me through so many bad times, given me hope & peace. I even had some of the lyrics tattooed onto me. RIP Vangelis 💙
I 'm having a Vangelis music day in remembrance of him and my son who passed away 9 years ago. He grew up listening to this song as a young boy. Thanks you Vangelis and Jon for all the great music!
Over 40 years ago as teenager I heard this song for the first time and it just stirred such feelings within me. It's still on my main playlist today. There's just something so epic about it. RIP Vangelis. Let's hope we all find our way home.
Well Jim it is assured you will if you are a follower of Jesus Christ, there is only one way into heaven (John 14.6 I am the way, the truth, and the life, No one comes to the Father but through me.
Hi, just voice from beind iron curtain (previously). It will require some introduction, "radio Luxemburg", wine Alpaga, but back to facts, this song "I'll Find My Way Home" by Jon and Vangelis, was on the top on the first competition list of Polish "open" Radio. Compiled and aired by Marek Niedźwiecki on 24 April 1982. From that point it has started everything which counts in many people's live here.
I remember buying the Friend's With Mr Cairo LP in earlyiish nineties, as a young teenager, sweet memories, thanks for the beautiful album, & this stunning song, Mr Anderson, Ave Atque Vale, Vangelis.
This is ridiculously good. What happened to music? I don't mean to sound like an old fart, but something has changed. This music reduces me to tears of ecstacy. Nothing new does this. So glad to have grown up around this music (I'm 60), and hope younger generations appreciate it. I hate the separations of the generations, and the "ok boomer" culture. Just talk to us. As the Human League said : "I'm only human...of flesh and blood I'm made"....
i agree with you , pop music nowhere near the standards of the past but thete is still lots of very good music out there, it just doesn't get played on national radio stations no more
This song will forever be associated with the last happy moment in our lives. It was playing in the car radio when we were driving home from my son's boarding school to which we had returned him on Sunday evening, and we were happy that we had found a place for him where he felt so well. Twelve days later, when he was again with us, I found him dead in his bed in the morning.
Jag behövde verkligen detta nu. Lyssnade på låten när jag var liten och uppskattade den. Nu är jag snart 50 och älskar den mer än någonsin. Tack för något odödligt 🙏
I play this song when I drink and remember my son after I find out that I lost him when he went on holiday and never came back alive it aways stay in me I am sorry about my spelling I cry cry as long I can remember him for ever thank you again and God bless
I know this song from my childhood in the early eighties. I didn't understand english back then, nor did I have an idea what the song was about. It was just sort of a magnetic tune from the radio. So I can tell that it's actually Vangelis' music and sounds that sort of implanted this song into my subconsciuos mind. It was just a few years ago that I finally learned that this is a work of Jon Anderson and Vangelis. How wonderful to learn that the lyrics and meaning of the song are as uplifting and inspiring as the music was to me as a little child! RIP Vangelis. So long and thanks for the music.
On a quiet Sunday evening on my way from my desk to the toilet, I suddenly had this wonderful music track "in my head" that I hadn't heard for years. So I wondered a lot, brainstormed and came up with some lovely options. Three or four days later, I read about Vangelis' death and wondered even more. On Saturday, the 21.5.2022, I received an email from my mother, informing me that my grandpa had passed away at 92 in a residential home. -> On my brother's 39th birthday, 2 years and 15 days after grandma and at the peak of the Pleiades portal. THANK YOU! 💖
You ask me where to begin Am I so lost in my sin You ask me where did I fall I'll say I can't tell you when But if my spirit is lost How will I find what is near Don't question I'm not alone Somehow I'll find my way home My sun shall rise in the east So shall my heart be at peace And if you're asking me when I'll say it starts at the end You know your will to be free Is matched with love secretly And talk will alter your prayer Somehow you'll find you are there. Your friend is close by your side And speaks in far ancient tongue A seasons wish will come true All seasons begin with you One world we all come from One world we melt into one Just hold my hand and we're there Somehow we're going somewhere Somehow we're going somewhere You ask me where to begin Am I so lost in my sin You ask me where did I fall I'll say I can't tell you when But if my spirit is strong I know it can't be long No questions I'm not alone Somehow I'll find my way home Somehow I'll find my way home Somehow I'll find my way home Somehow I'll find my way home

AMAZING SONG BUT JESUS SHOWED THE WAY HOME THROUGH HIS CROSS HALLELUJAH😀
Just beautiful 😍
It's like being in a fairy tale!
What a great collaboration - has always been a favourite of mine. A fitting song to mark the passing of Vangelis.
Followed this man's singing since 1970 the voice of YES and they have the audacity to kick him out, YES are NOT YES without this man's amazing voice
My favourite non-Christmas, Christmassy-sounding song.
Jon and Vangelis the best partnership all the time
One of the most beautiful and unique voices of the last few decades with a song that sounds just as incredible 40 years on.
Absolutely sublime collaboration from Jon and Vangelis released in 1981.Uplifting,ethereal,poignant, and unique.RIP Vangelis.

You ask me where to begin
Am I so lost in my sin
You ask me where did I fall
I'll say I can't tell you when
But if my spirit is lost
How will I find what is near
Don't question I'm not alone
Somehow I'll find my way home
My sun shall rise in the east
So shall my heart be at peace
And if you're asking me when
I'll say it starts at the end
You know your will to be free
Is matched with love secretly
And talk will alter your prayer
Somehow you'll find you are there.
Your friend is close by your side
And speaks in far ancient tongue
A seasons wish will come true
All seasons begin with you
One world we all come from
One world we melt into one
Just hold my hand and we're there
Somehow we're going somewhere
Somehow we're going somewhere
You ask me where to begin
Am I so lost in my sin
You ask me where did I fall
I'll say I can't tell you when
But if my spirit is strong
I know it can't be long
No questions I'm not alone
Somehow I'll find my way home
Somehow I'll find my way home
Somehow I'll find my way home
Somehow I'll find my way home
