Here is the formula which shows you which Porsche 4-door car gives you the best bang for your buck! You will be VERY surprised at the result!

I have zero interest in this or any other EV. I hope the Porsche is successful, but I like petrol. Thanks for the content.

Petrol and without any turbos. With that said though, I am fully in support of EVs taking over as the vast majority of cars on the road. Most people don’t care what engine they have, as long as it’s in a big SUV with a respectable badge. Petrol engines should stay for enthusiasts.

I have some comments on this video... 😉 hope you don't mind! Porsche do make a few bad models. They have never produced a good E-Hybid (including the 918) they ALL have issues particularly past warranty. I don't think this spreadsheet tells much of the story as people buy a Porsche to show off, they don't actually care much about the performance they just want the badges. If you tell someone that an S and a GTS are the same exact car they will still buy the GTS to get the GTS badge. Finally the price is not the price. With Porsche the price is price plus options and depreciation. The Taycan depreciates off the edge of a cliff, where as Cayenne does not. So a higher price Cayenne is leased for a much less than a lower priced Taycan. The current ICE Macan will continue to sell for years to come.

I don’t mind at all! Actually my video proves the absurdity of what people actually do (not the point of the video) versus what they SHOULD do (such as buying the S over the GTS)! The hybrid cars are only shown there so as to show the cars most equivalent in performance to the Macan EV at the most competitive price. Regardless of their reliability, they don’t have to put up with the failures of the EV model and the poor network reliability. That’s why they’re on this list and also a contender. EVs will also tank in value because, simply, they’re founded on technology which dates FAST and which is expensive to replace if it goes wrong (especially out of warranty). You’re right though, this doesn’t point out everything, just a few facts to see what gives the biggest bang for the buck. Currently that’s the Macan EV Turbo followed by the Macan S and GTS. None of those are bad choices (as you know!) so perhaps we got to the same place by different routes?

I was left wondering what the final table would have looked like with 911s and 718s included????

Oh interesting! Perhaps we extend it then in another video! Good thinking!

Did you buy it new though? A second hand one is a BRILLIANT car because of how cheap they are!

Per ton? So because batteries are heavy, the EV wins. But who buys performance cars for *more* weight? I would be inclined to check interior space for passengers and cargo before pricing by weight.

      No. $ Per bhp/ton.
