@saddaddrummer......No it hasn't because he remembers what his Dad told him, "don't you go getting big headed". True that. Jeff himself told it on an interview track of the Live in Hyde Park dvd.
I dont mean to be so off topic but does anybody know of a tool to get back into an instagram account..? I was stupid forgot my account password. I would love any tips you can give me
Ha ha. Rumour has it Jeff has lovely eyes, but no one has ever seen them. He's a freaking legend but I think only his mum and his missus have ever seen them! xxx
Love to see such a recent slice of Jeff. Love the young people here who know his music. Some people say that the best you can do is to leave your mark on this world and be remembered after you are gone. I am a 52 year old retired US Army Combat Sergeant...and absolutely no one will remember me or know my words. And I'm ok with that. But I have such a great respect for Jeff because he is one of those that reached for the skies...and got it. Not only that...he dominated!! What a great musical soul he is!! I love this guy. All hail, Jeff Lynne....(and his great band members that made up ELO) Peace all....
Modest,, brilliant, genius, ..one off...he is , just Mr music.. Never see the like again...... Jeff Lynne.. Can't find any other words..... .except.... Class..
The great thing about Jeff is he's a good guy, most people who become famous tend to be egotistical a bit or a lot, he's one of those true gentlemen. 😁
It wasn't about the music. It was that they were a band of young guys who got there at the right time. E.L.O's music is far more diverse and just better.
What a guy Jeff Lynne is, Complete Musician, writer, Producer, great singer, a real ordinary regular guy, been following him since the 70,s he just gets better and better. xx
Jeff didn't care much for performing live or touring. He thrives on the creative aspect and plays most instruments quite well. Therefore he can sit at home in his studio and create art at his leisure without individual band members, managers etc. I see him as a perfectionist and the original band, even in their heyday just weren't pulling it off. A difficult task to say the least. The current lineup is much larger but it sounds amazing. I would love to see Jeff, Roy and Bev do a tour one last time.
I also like the way he “ lays down a tune “ actually just last week I went to see ELO Experience ( tribute band ) . Not the real thing but hey they are great , If you get the chance go see see em . You will not be disappointed
who loves me pretty baby, who's gonna hep me through "the night". I can't get that unknown tune out of my head. Compliments of " mr. Blue Sky". The great Jeff Lynne"! 🎵👂💝🌍
What a cute interview... Surprised he did a show like this because he’s so shy, but I guess he’ll do anything for the hometown crowd. Loved the midland sing-along medley!
He started working with different artists back in the 80s. The Everly Brothers. George Harrixon. Dave Edmunds. The Wilburys collectively and their solo albums. He became an independent agent if you like. There is quite a list of people he has worked with over The years. Writing songs. Producing. Etcetera
EXCELLENT interview! And so cool to see him play the Banjolele just on a whim. He plays it like he's ringing a bell. HA! I REALLY hope he and what is the current iteration of ELO go on tour again. I've always wanted to see them on stage. Richard Tandy is always there with him and is the quintessential keyboardist. I'll have to check into whether they really are going on a world tour. I don't care how much the tickets are, I am buying one if they are actually going on tour. Seeing Jeff Lynne in person is on my bucket list.
Jeff is from Shard End, Birmingham. Who would have thought that a working class kid from Shard End would become a superstar. I am a Brummie and grew up around that area in the 60's Kingshurst, South Yardley, Stechford. Jeff Lynn and Roy Wood are Birmingham City fans like me.
Been to his concert in Vienna in 2019, he played - of course - ELO, which I was growing up with and then he said - in his humble manor - "Maybe you know that I founded another band, called 'The Traveling Wilburys'" and started with "Handle with care". The concert hall went loose...
I think if I were introduced to Jeff Lynne like Alfie, my reaction would not be 'Y'all right?' I'd probably start spluttering and be unable to speak...
13 yo kid may very well have ZERO idea who he just met! lol I would probably be in tears & want to hug and thank him for all of the gorgeous music he has given the world
the ukulele brings everyone together ....nice show and what better than an old classic 'when I'm cleaning windows' well played by Jeff Lynne 'Mr ELO himself again I'm so proud to be a brummie...
Sadly, I think Jeff suffers a from own own humility, he is absolutely brilliant and his talent is humbling, how could Jeff not know we would all absolutely give our right arms for him to tour?
I think even though the musical standard of ELO was very high Jeff finished the group for at least two main reasons. He had a contract with the company. 3 albums. He delivered those albums to the record company. He was tired. Needed a change. A re charge. Now he was free. He could do his own thing. Leave ELO behind . Work with other pdople. Release a solo album. Even start a new band. Eventually even work with the Beatles on their comeback in the 90s for example. He just wanted s break. That is quite likely why the band split up.
what?...if it hadnt been for one of the 'prats' (Chris evans) Jeff would never have gone on tour...Its due to Chris's support which helped make the radio 2 show at hyde park such a success.
They have a music genius like Jeff lynne to interview, and they never asked him anything that interesting, what about asking him how he got started, his favourite singers,so for those that don"t know his favourite artists before the beatles were Del Shannon and Roy Orbison,so wish i could of done the interviewing!
Chris is a massive fan of Jeff and ELO. Unfortunately with TV shows like this they have to appeal to the whole, diverse audience. Many of the viewers will have no idea who Jeff is (shame I know! but quite normal).
Jeff never changes, fame and money hasn't gone to his head he's just a lovely guy.
@saddaddrummer......No it hasn't because he remembers what his Dad told him, "don't you go getting big headed". True that. Jeff himself told it on an interview track of the Live in Hyde Park dvd.

A shy unassuming, understated, lovely gentleman with a huge talent - love his music.
This was posted nearly 10 years ago today . I still love Jeff now (Sept 2023)
What an unassuming amazing talent ...and he's from Birmingham! Jeff Lynne WE LOVE YOU ! x
I'm 48 and think his cute and very humble I don't think he knows that he is so loved by so many people, I just wanna hug him
Jeff Lynne is always so gracious and generous with his praise of others.
He’s just everybody’s mate . And the most respected musician composer of my generation x
I love ELO and I love Jeff Lynn’s voice😎💖👍🏻✨🇬🇧❤️🇺🇸✨
Me too, love you Jeff, you’re the best❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
This man is an absolute genius. His catalogue of music is simply astounding. An understated gentleman of the highest order.
The only person in the world with a universal license to wear sunglasses indoor
+BURCHDOG He is ashamed of his Chinese heritage so wont show his eyes nothing to be proud of IMO

Ian Hunter!
Ha ha. Rumour has it Jeff has lovely eyes, but no one has ever seen them. He's a freaking legend but I think only his mum and his missus have ever seen them! xxx
I am a Metal musician… but Mr.Lynne is my biggest musical influence 🥰
I attended the ELO concert in Nashville a couple of weeks ago. Best concert ever!!!
I won't say I'm jealous but... I'm jealous. Yeah, turns out I will say that.
I loved skating to Jeff's music. One of my best times in the 70's was to skate to your favorite band of all time..
Love to see such a recent slice of Jeff. Love the young people here who know his music. mundrubjet thank you for your service!
I grew up listening to the Beatles as a teenager in the 1970's and ELO, and after singing along with them, i started talking with a British accent.
The very best of our era. Long live Jeff Lynne's ELO!
Jeff Lynne is the greatest Pop Star from back in the day, and today!!!
I looked for tickets in Sweden 2023, but I only found in Denmark. Will there be a consert in Sweden in 2023?
Bloody brilliant that is innit 🙌😅🙌 love the accent on you brummies 🤗
Such a humble, beautiful musician. Love him
I like that man has stay so simple and humble and he's a perfect genius!
Jeff, you're the greatest!
As great as the Beatles were; Jeff Lynne created a level of sound far ahead of what the Beatles were capable of. Pure Awesomeness!
Chuck Gura Really?
Yes, really!
It wasn't about the music. It was that they were a band of young guys who got there at the right time. E.L.O's music is far more diverse and just better.
Of course Jeff Lynne would say otherwise.
of course that's all subjective.
Not many folk turn out timeless music-Jeff Lynne's stuff stands up as well today as it did in the 70's
Jeff has such a sense of humor.
What a lovely man behind the wonderful musician. He proves that you can't be one thing without being first the other...
Jeff is so down-to-earth. What a great talent.
What a guy Jeff Lynne is, Complete Musician, writer, Producer, great singer, a real ordinary regular guy, been following him since the 70,s he just gets better and better. xx
“The Diary of Horace Wimp” - one of the most creative songs ever written.
Wishing is underrated
Jeff Lynne has aged very well!
Jeff Lynne has engaged a couple of doubles to look always the same from 1976 until the end.
an extreme talented and gifted gentleman...very nice to see him in an interview...
I'm inclined to agree with all of you, I think this man is a very underrated genius, I never understood what happened to the original line up of ELO
What more can one say about the great "Mr.Blue Sky", JEFF LYNNE ? GOOSE BUMPS!!#!!!!#!#!** ELO 4EVR! Thank You JEFF
"I'll have to check me diary"

I dont care how much of a prat Chris evans is...if it wasnt for him, Jeff would never have gone on tour, so I thank him for that. 100% respect Chris.
who loves me pretty baby, who's gonna hep me through "the night". I can't get that unknown tune out of my head. Compliments of " mr. Blue Sky". The great Jeff Lynne"! 🎵👂💝🌍
Jeff Lynne is a music God!
What a cute interview... Surprised he did a show like this because he’s so shy, but I guess he’ll do anything for the hometown crowd. Loved the midland sing-along medley!

Jeff Lynne and ELO were so brilliant xxxx .Genius !
I LOVE this man. I kind of have a crush on him.
Just saw the band last Sunday night in San Francisco, CA - USA.
It was delicious.
I'm amazed that nobody has mentioned this yet: EYES at 10:34! :-)
He has beautiful eyes!
Brilliant! And any gig involving Jeff Lynne could fill Wembley in a nano second. Hell, I'd fly home from Sydney if I could guarantee getting a ticket.
He started working with different artists back in the 80s. The Everly Brothers. George Harrixon. Dave Edmunds. The Wilburys collectively and their solo albums. Jeff is all for me♥️
Jeff lynne. Love you so much
Seems to be a kind ,humble person!
Those two hosts look like an SNL skit. Love Jeff.
Jeff Lynne is not only insanely talented, he seems like such a good guy.

At 10.34 we actually see his eyes for a bit. And they look quite alright.
I think if I were introduced to Jeff Lynne like Alfie, my reaction would not be 'Y'all right?' I'd probably start spluttering and be unable to speak...
13 yo kid may very well have ZERO idea who he just met! lol I would probably be in tears & want to hug and thank him for all of the gorgeous music he has given the world
обожаю творчество линна. дай бог ему отличного здоровья и ещё написать красивых ,замечательных по своей гармонии песен.
the ukulele brings everyone together ....nice show and what better than an old classic 'when I'm cleaning windows' well played by Jeff Lynne 'Mr ELO himself again I'm so proud to be a brummie...
He is just amazing!!
Sadly, I think Jeff suffers a from own own humility, he is absolutely brilliant and his talent is humbling, how could Jeff not know we would all absolutely give our right arms for him to tour?
the maestro himself.
A genius, and a legend.
I'm chuffed to bits about this video. Thanks for posting it!
Very cool stuff...kind of strange the bit with him there with the racing cars, though.
love him and elo
Jeffs you need to sign up this group you never know what they are doing to your future.🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
I think even though the musical standard of ELO was very high Jeff finished the group for at least two main reasons. He had a contract with the company. 3 albums. Kudos to Mr. Lynne for having to put up with such TV drivel.
It’s no wonder all those musicians wanted to work with him- he’s the nicest guy ever and so incredibly talented.
A an amazing guy sing forever

what?...if it hadnt been for one of the 'prats' (Chris evans) Jeff would never have gone on tour...Its due to Chris's support which helped make the radio 2 show at hyde park such a success.
I love the bit how Wembley rang and offered him a date!
They have a music genius like Jeff lynne to interview, and they never asked him anything that interesting, what about asking him how he got started, his favourite singers,so for those that don"t know his favourite artists before the beatles were Del Shannon and Roy Orbison,so wish i could of done the interviewing!
