Toxic, negative, judgemental castigating poison, we are meant to be compassionate and grow. Most of the riders covered were thee most talented riders at the time, unfortunately as kids more or less, late teens early twenties, they were forced into a doping regime. This channel is nothing but a disgrace to cycling, and the people running it have zero integrity. Attacking a human in such a callous manner who was at deaths door from mental illness, caused by the sport. Despicable.

The reason why Ulrich was so villified in Germany is only understandable if you understand German history. He was one of the very first all-German sporting idols, a hero that both the western and eastern parts admired in equal parts. Before that most top athletes were either extremely popular in the West only (like Klinsmann or Schumacher) or in the East only (Weißflog, Ludwig etc). Destroying that illusion by his undignified end, Ulrich fell very deep from a very lofty height.

Hay what matters is how a man acts what he does and when Jan needed a friend the man that flew to Germany and was there was lance. So in my book lance and Jan are both good people. Never go back a doped world was just that. ( Jan from the East German) lance. Well he did what he had to. Much respect for them both as humans

Well, title implies that Urlich died. "last cycling days" would be more appropriate. Nice vid btw.
Question:in Move show where LA, Hincappe and Johan Burnile discuss TdF their was talk of Mathew Van der Poel and his recovery for this season. JB had inside info on former Spanish cyclist that opened his own hotel. High in the mountains, this spa tipe of hotel specialisezes in helping athletes recover and be in best shape possible. You know something of this fountain of jouth?

Quite a hatchet job. He was a doper (as were most of them) yes but always seemed fairly down to earth and to his credit took finishing 2nd in the Tour multiple times with stoicism. The video at the end has no context but most people don't like strangers hanging outside their house filming them, he also has had mental health issues. He recently raised a large sum for Ukraine by selling his Tour bike.

But honestly I've always rated Jan a natural talent, like Marco, despite both played under the unwritten (or bad written, rectius) rules of that time and you know what I mean. Clearly they were completely different riders. Jan born to be a great overall rider with a monster engine and good recovery on three weeks competitions, Marco a natural flashy and daredevil climber (and he paid an unnecessary price, like he was the unique scapegoat, something his soul never accepted). Instead I believe Lance had benefited more than anybody else from the doping regime. Like he was Michele Bartoli type of rider (great on one day classics) and then he became an authentic war machine able to win any kind of race. Well, I mean, the ones organized in July in a certain territory :)
