FULL LOOP ROUTE on a BRAND NEW El Dorado 30ft bus!
Today marks an important day in history... The first-ever ENC EZ Rider bus operating in SF MUNI's network, on the 67! There are a lot of different new characteristics of this bus, such as seating layouts, transmission and engine sounds, and lighting.
A passenger (at 12:34) was also excited about a brand new bus going into service!

00:21 - 12:20 Ride: 24th/Mission to Folsom/Cortland
12:20 - 20:55 Ride: Folsom/Cortland to Folsom/Crescent
20:55 - 26:55 Ride: Folsom/Crescent to Ripley/Folsom
26:55 - 32:45 Ride: Ripley/Folsom to 24th/Mission
Omg the kneeling sounds just like the Gilligs!!!
Yep! This kneeling sound is a bit rare in the MUNI fleet
Nice catch! Cool that it has blue lights in the front. I have seen blue lights on SamTrans XD60s and WestCAT's newest 35-foot Gilligs, too.
Thank you! Those blue lights stood out to me, feels a bit like outer space 😂
@@sfmunioperations as a reminder! 8536 they are brand new bus! Must reminding all passengers that no eating and drinking on the bus, because we have to keep the bus clean!
Passenger eating on the bus will receipt a citation!
those reverse seats look really cool
Yup, quite a neat and cozy space!
@@sfmunioperations reminded me of the ETI 14TrSF ones.
@@charlyonthemunitrain3273 I know right!!! That was a great memory there. Luckily nowadays we got the ZX5s and El Dorado coaches equipped with them
Nice 👍
Thank you!
I'm gonna miss the Orion's powerful BAEs going up steep hills!
Me too, given that they have been with us for years
Same here
The ENC HEV buses look pretty cool and have reverse seats (like the 14TRSF).
Yup, but the back middle seat is a big dangerous since it’s so slippery when the coach is going downhill
Gonna miss those Orions for sure, but hey, at least more buses with AC.
First time we’ve ever gotten an Allison Hybrid 40 EP here.
Which division are those, again?
Though they also really should have gone for a more eco-friendly solution to the transmission, tbh, like the BAE Systems HDS200 Series-ER for these new ones. But then again, it might not be compatible with the bus’s model.
These are from Woods. So far 8536 is the only qualified coach to operate and goes into service.
@@charlyonthemunitrain3273 They were probably not aware of a more green solution since they are just too eager to replace the Orions as they should’ve been retired when the pandemic started
Can they just save two or three of Orion VII 30ft’s for future heritage month?
@@ethancampbell6076 I’m a bit afraid that won’t happen since they did not save any 40ft Orions (84 series)
Rare
Were you able to catch 8537 going on route 56 yesterday by chance?
Nope, I wanted to catch it but it didn’t work out at all 😢
Tell Me Isn't So They Got These Buses In Service
Yes, but so far only 1 unit is active. It went into service this morning from 6am to 1pm
@@sfmunioperations Yeah They All Be In Service Then That's Means All Orion's Will Be Retired It's Right
@@peppermintwalkman won’t so soon tho… some units are still doing prep work so recently this 8536 will be the only one in service
@@sfmunioperations Ok When That Done Then In The Future They Have All Unit In Service I Still Ride The Orion When They Still In Service Still The 35ft
@@peppermintwalkman Orion are the bad bus , need to be cared for!
I bet that Sam trans will copy the same buses as Muni did because look what happened with the diesel hybrid electric articulated buses
Oh haha, you mean the livery or like setup?
Basically it does have the red and gray except the blue the blue doesn't count unless you got the Phantom class bus nx line
@@susanagomez2873 oh that’s true… there are some similiarities
When I first saw the new SamTrans buses I was like what the hell
@@susanagomez2873 well those XD60s do have different character than MUNI’s XDE60s
