    It's great to see someone who takes quality over quantity. I worked for so many body shops as a Detailer/Buffer. And this is the one thing, that always irritated me. I always had a boss breathing down my neck, telling me to skip certain steps, or give it to the customer the way it is. I always prefer to take my time, to ensure amazing results. I can't tell you how many people I know say they are professionals at buffing. And half of the time, I always see hazing or wet sand marks on the paint still. Most employers nowadays don't even care about Quality anymore. Just to make a quick buck and out the door.
    I like the fact that your taking the time to show people what kind of results you get. When you take your time and have passion for it. Like you said In your video" don't rush the job". It definitely shows when you rush the job.

    Really really good video. Actually all of your videos on this whole painting process have been awesome. Like I said on your last video, I'm pretty nervous about painting and buffing my car but watching all of your vids on the process has really boosted my confidence in doing it. So glad I found your channel. It deserves way more subscribers and views!

    I have a stupid question. On the rest of that door, how do you go about removing the compound dust you got all over it? Water and microfiber cloth?

      Yea you can do that. It can be a pain to get it all of.

    I was under the impression that its not good to wax a fresh paint job until about a month for the clear to cure. Is using the cleaner wax different? Thanks for the videos.

    great video. What machine did you use for the compound and the polish? Is it a rotary or a Dual Action random orbital?

    Hey, I found your channel through your R8 coil install vid. I see you're not running a bracket, so I gotta ask have you had any issues at all with the coils coming free? I know they clip onto the spark plugs, but I see some brackets being sold on eBay which is making me reconsider whether or not it's necessary. You've got a great channel by the way, very in-depth on your build. I see you're in Florida so maybe we'll film something for your Fox if I'm ever in the Central Florida area or if you race it at Palm Beach, I'm from way down south in Miami.

      I haven’t had any issues at all. There not a heavy coil so I don’t see the need for a bracket. I have been wanting to go to pbir. Maybe once the black car is done.

      @@fox-body cool I'll pass on the bracket then for now and just put the funds into bushings, sensors and a few other things the car may need. My supra is gonna be on the dyno in a few weeks so I'll be at more events and maybe racing at pbir as well

    Great Work! Inspiring for sure. How long did you let the paint cure before cutting and buffing. I was always afraid the clear would be too soft if it didn't clear for weeks.

    • @fox-body
      @fox-body  3 года назад +1

      You can actually do it after 1day. Some prefer that because it’s easier to cut. This door cured for about a week or so.

    I have such a hard time knowing when to stop on the 1st buff compound. I either don't do it enough or go too far.

      You could polish a car with hand lotion. If that’s you’re opinion then you obviously have no idea what you’re doing.
