Definitely prefer the Coffey Malt over the Coffey Grain although the pricing is somewhat similar.

I last had this many years ago, before I was really into tasting whiskies. I do remember it being very spicy on the palette, like something between a highland scotch and a bourbon. Very unexpected from a Japanese whiskey!
