- What is the prettiest crochet stitch? The Spiked Arcade Stitch has to be in the pretty crochet stitches category, surely! It is such a striking and different crochet stitch with arches and long (spiked) stitches for blankets and scarves. Get the free written pattern, click the link below:

There are different ways of making the Arcade Stitch and in this version I've added spike or long stitches for more texture, thus the name Spiked Arcade Stitch.

ANYONE USING THIS FOR THE WILD AND FREE BLANNET!! If you decide to make it a different size please make sure that your beginning chain is not only the multiple of 8+3 like this one but the other stitches are 6+3. It needs to be divisible by both. I did 36 not having gotten to this part and not knowing it had a different multiple and just had to throw away a $25 skein of yarn because it can't be frogged and there's no making this part work. It's beautiful and I'm doing it again with a different number but it'll be cheaper yarn now because I can't afford to buy another skein. The pattern is fun and beautiful! Totally worth your time!

absolutely loved the stitch and the video. Would strongly recommend adding in timestamps for the rows to make it easier to go back on them for pattern repeats

I really need help. I'm on this part of the wild and free blanket. I did row one and started with the ch 5 and ended with the ch3 which messes me up in the next row. Bc my last ch seq was 3 not 5 even though I have the right amount of stitches. It has the 11dc going into the ch3 and the spike SC going into the ch 5. Which has me ending in a spike SC not an 11dc. My foundation ch was 36 bc you said in the pattern multiple of 6 plus 3 plus 3 so I did 36 plus 3 plus 3 which works for the other two stitch patterns I've done so far but doesn't work for this one even though I can get the right amount of stitches it actually needs one more repeat to work out. How can I fix this please? My yarn can't be frogged and I've used an entire ball
I did the astro stitch with a starting chain of 90. But now I want to add this pattern but I don't know if I can with the chain 90. I started the process and started with the chain 5 but ended on the chain 3. Any way I can fix this
It would be nice if you repeated the repeat twice at least it’s hard to follow with it only done once
I love your work but you don't do enough work across the row with us so we can follow.. Very sad.
