Watching this channel for a loooooong time i am boxing over 10y now and i am still coming here for yours videos pure masterclass . Most times its reminders but here and there i learn a thing or two ... thank you for all videos you posted it helped me tremendously !
Excellent job teaching head movement! I began training in boxing 8 months ago. Sparred for the first time incorporating both body and head. Was never once given a thorough training on proper head movement. I could have progressed much more, and avoided a slight headache had my instructor given this basic lesson. Your instruction and simple communication on how to box is very effective and practical. Keep it up and THANK YOU 🥊
Man, JT I'm glad you said that about keepin' your hands up. I'm superfast at punch 10 so that never worked for me it always slowed me down. This is George, I love you, man I appreciate all the teachings, though I should have my own channel, I'm going to throw you one. "If you are fast enough to keep your hands down! Makes sure you know how to bring them back"! I went to the Pro Gym for free to train with my homeboy. And he said sometimes my hand placement was wrong. I was like its a trap, Go for the opening and get Zapped. But I realized when we bring our hands back, We need to watch our defense, to protect against the counter attack. I'm sure you can make a awesome video about that. Thanks again! Coach.
Great video! :) Such a good point that if you don't mix offense into it, you are just gonna dodge a bit until you get timed. And it's not gonna work unless one puts in the work and practices.
Awesome tutorial,it really helps me to improve my boxing skills thank you for sharing this awesome video learning boxing from yt makes me to have more confidence in my skills thanks for this awesome vid!!
got to say---incredibly informative --awesome content---great presentation skills!!!---I have been kick boxing for years-----incorporated defense , movement, head movement & counter punching into my style--but watching this I realize I need to do more
What a fantastic video! I noticed you mentioned not to keep your hands up, but it's interesting to see how Canelo effectively uses a high guard while still maintaining great movement. keep moving forward mate
yes right! but watch carefully, when he starts moving his head his hands drop down, check out this clip as an example - ruclips.net/video/7mfkl_Ny74U/видео.html
coach thank you for these great secrets, as you mentioned in the video its good to mix between head movement blocks etc, from your opinion what is the best defence againset power puncher, I want a defence that make me save as long as posible 😘
When you were talking about snapping the head movements, I was actually thinking about how head movement is often done to prevent strikes from even being thrown, and I've seen pros use slower head movement in that fashion, which appears especially effective when they're changing the cadence of it constantly (you talk about rhythm later also). Strikes me that if you're always snapping the head movement, an advanced opponent could read the more consistent timing of it? Or is that just not as much of as issue as being too slow? Having done some of your head movement accelerators also, that fast movement is pretty wearing on the stamina. I've been trying to integrate it into the 4000 punch workout, following the rule "never throw more than 2-3 punches with your head in the same slot" and it's definitely harder. Thoughts about whether it's ok to do slower movements with cadence change to make your opponent cagier about throwing, or does it need to be snap or nothing?
yes, good point. You would only snap the head movement in reaction to punches or just after your combo, or in between punches, but not with your head movement rhythm.
Here are some good drills in this video. You could also join the membership at level 4 for the four day camps. - ruclips.net/video/0qcr8vQx3hU/видео.html
The feet and headmovement together is key. Throwing punches comes from feet where you can generate whip like effect at the end of your punches, and same thing you can do with your head like if you head butt something (just punching with your head or here with side of your head). You can make a long whip like movement with the side of yoyr head to feel and then make it short, here is your quick snap. More can be said about whole body movement, but I'll stop here.
My problem is overreacting and moving way to much to avoid a hit. But I know it’ll get better with experience. I should be James Toney level by next year. Hahaha
Thx Coach this was really helpful! I have another problem with my boxing is that when I throw shots my wrists are bent and my accuracy is not good how do I fix that?
Most definitely! All of these videos in this playlist can be used on the heavy bag (list below), but the second link is one I recommend. As well, I will probably create a new video based on this idea of getting comfortable on the bag. It all depends on what stage you are at in the cold. If you are over the worst part then you are most likely fine, otherwise you'll make it worse and be stuck with it for longer. Only you can really know.
Your style is fists in front of face. If you were a guard fighter it would be different. You don't high guard or guard at all. You don't protect your face by bringing your fists back to guard after a punch. #3 Moving head doesn't eliminate the threat of being hit. Cus would definitely disagree. Calling a guarded head movement overkill is like calling an airbag overkill. Some fighters use it faster than you without it. Every fighter is different and not every style is for every fighter.
@@boblangford81 im with you. At the end of the day , the best fighters seem to break all the rules. They do what they want. I dont know about what most people teach, as most people are not ring champions. I only listen too and watch the best and then do what works for me. A good example of somthing is mike tyson. So many people.know the style and yet how many have been champs from learning then style.?. It wasnt the style that made tyson a champ. It was tysons mind set a street smarts and cus that made him a champ. At the days end its the individual more then the style thats succsesful. My two.cents
Interestingly, I heard a trainer saying that when weaving it's ok to look down, because if you see where the opponent's legs are, their head won't be too far from there

Sir can you please make virtual padwork but in vr that will be a great way to experience what happens in a real training session thank you
What are some routines to do to improve that head snap? I feel like I don't have those twitch muscles to help me move my head quickly as shown

Work the double end bag as much as you can.
@@PrecisionBoxing But I don't have that, can you tell me the alternative drills until I buy one of those?
how to develop snap in punches coach , I guess snap in head movements come later after it.
i do shadow boxing with 0 .5 kg dumbbell as suggested by Corry sandheagon , any other advice.

Hi, is the app for Apple only or Android as well?
its only for Apple, I had to close the Android version
Are you going to bring it back at some point? Is there anything on the app that's not avail on YT?

I guess you could get away with that as long as you can see the hips
Bad idea imo. I taught martial arts for decades. When the opponent looks down he is hurt usually and pretty much out of the fight.
