I've only ever used 5w30 full synthetic so I just wanted to make sure I wasn't doing something wrong (I live in NC so it doesn't get insanely cold for the most part). What I really love about all your work that you do on the Speed 3 is - it is so immaculate. No bodging or, dodgy parts, there's nothing more off putting than a scruffy finish. Keep it up guys, very impressive.

That whole exhaust is 3” from the turbo back . We have a fully fabricated hood exit exhaust and wastegate set up for the car with another Hood that has the holes cut and everything . Just wanted to have a rear exit exhaust for street driving
Question: I’m running almost the exact same style build, I’m running Port injection, the gauge on my AEM Regulator says my PSI sits about 40-45 at idle. But has a rough start up sometimes, do you guys experience the same when starting up for the first time during the day or have any random stalling with the port injection ?
Not at all . Your port injection should not even spray fuel until your under a good amount of load . So the PI would have nothing to do with your start up and stalling issues . I would look at grounds and take a idle log on your AP and send it to your tuner and see if he can see anything
Spooling Up Performance that’s the thing only under long idle does it stall or first thing in the mornings, I do have a P2088 Code which could be causing the issue it doesn’t happen very often both my HPFP and Port injection have good pressure
2011 speed 3 all day ! Miatas are fun but you will gain the extra cabin space that you will love! Speed 3 has the most fun & sporty interior for your money IMO

Thank you ! Stock in tank pump feeding just the stock fuel rail. All the added fuel comes that second fuel cell and the fuel pump mounted behind the front bumper
Your looking about 15k at least just in engine , turbo set up , intake manifold , Intercooler piping , fuel system not including all the miscellaneous parts and pieces , motor mounts all the extra stuff it’s a lot
That’s been the plan the whole time . When we decided to do the exhaust we had 1 day to fabricate the full exhaust and take the hood exit off . We are doing to add in a resonator before it “Y’s” off to the bumper in the rear . To get rid of the crazy rasp it has lol
There are a lot of good exhausts . This car will be back to full race car soon with the hood exit exhaust and the one we fabricated is for just here and there during the season he wants to street drive it lol

Sounds like you’ve never owned one , worked on one or have had experience with them at all . They are actually amazing when they are tuned properly stock or modded, unless these cars end up in the hands of idiots that don’t know what they are doing . Yes I know people that have blown them up but they were knowingly pushing the limits of their setup Funny thing is every engine is like that. I have seen some of the strongest engine platforms fail early because of lack of knowledge and Maitenance from the people that own them. Spooling Up Performance I have two of them, yep, you can tune then get good power but they die prematurely, I see one dead on the dyno, even the tuner hesitate, I see perfectly maintain engines died, I see engines noisy after been to the tuner and eventually died., they are turbo and powerful engine but they are not reliable and if you stretch them, they pop, they dnt have that tuner toughness like some other turbo car engine and even in stock form all service up to date, you drive them like any other turbo cars they can suddently died, I see six car like that. That is why they are not popular hoon car, they have the figure and muscle but not the endurance and tolerance gap is narrow, if you put one foot wrong you pay for the price, you saying about uneducated, you go on the forum and you see plenty of example, that should be enough.
I see what you are saying , are you talking about a stock , untouched motor . And you say tune and they die prematurely sounds like it’s being tuned very un safely . They should not just die after being tuned . May I ask who the tuner is that is “popping” all these motors ?

Not optimal for this engine build . It all depends on what your builder recommends . On a stock motor a 10w40 will work great

Check your grounds and 10mm bolt on your hpfp housing .
That code is for your camshaft position sensor !!! Make sure you check that to see if it’s loose , if not it may have gone bad
