For me, the golden age stories have a realism that exceeds the celebrated story techniques of books like Batman:Year One; the Dark Knight; etc.. The simpler events transpiring in the golden age tales are closer to the beats of real life incidents. And the plainer dialog is a more accurate presentation of how people talk.
The monk is a good villain for Batman. Watching bruce struggle against a supernatural force is always fascinating. One of Batmans better stories in my opinion.
I LOVE comics from the 30s - 40s (DESPITE all the old-school SPECIESISM...A WERE WOLF DEN....what the F*** ), it's great to see BATMAND'S arsenal of tools growing in real-time.
Phenomenal vid! Love the Mad Monk!
He's one of my favorite batman villains!

This is my fav golden age Batman comic. I remember reading the golden age omnibus in fifth grade and this one creeped me out. 😂

Alan you can't keep getting mad whenever a piece of media misrepresents your people. Just wait until we get into werewolf by night.
And cool to see him fighting supernatural threats like vampires and werewolves.
@@Kiiieeechiii fighting the supernatural is not e.z. ....its like pimping
Interesting. Thanks.
