At least the "240" in 240sx is still accurate with the k24 😅
Ka24 k24 close enough for me 👍
i see you have a big brain as well
they should name it the k240
Pete: "Watch this!"
Also Pete: Slides off the track
And .... now you’re back! More of this.
Wow a grip focused 240 that also looks good? Hell has frozen over
goals for my s13 currently lol
There is another K swap S14 that is focused on grip driving. The one I saw has a turbo, but isn't quite as clean because of stickers.
@@bigdfitness5020 also @reggiecmah on Instagram has a turbo k swap S15 that’s for the track too, he just finished it
Could you do a little info sheet pop up on the track videos:
Power
Torque
Tyres and size
Weight
Would be cool to see like how they do on hot version and a reminder before you lap
Totally agree
Great idea
Awesome idea
Yes
Yes!!!
Really like that car. Nice to see an s chassis doing something other than just drifting.
MrBobjacobson too bad if you want to road race it, still have to pay the drift tax.
@@chomin3025
I just want one to daily, and leave it as bone stock as possible.
@@Slow._.EJ8 that's what I did. I bought a s13. Gonna fix it up to daily. It has original motor and trans 175k miles.
@@asianboyyy117
Hatch or Coupe? And are you going to record the process? Id watch that all day. If i enlist in the Military, i planed on purchasing an imported Skyline and or an S13 coupe with a Ca18 preferably. Then daily it, maybe take it to the track every other weekend.
@@Slow._.EJ8 idk im not really a youtuber. also i dont have friends or resources rn to help me lol. i am trying to find a new job within the next couple months, i have to have wrist surgery so its holding me back a bit. i guess i could upload a video of it if you want. first thing im saving up for is rust repair rn. when i get my new job ill start uploading. ill upload a vid rn if u wanna hear it.
I would love to get some seat time on a track. You guys actually testing your vehicles is the ultimate finishing touches.
i think it was good you guys took a pause and regrouped a bit. already seeing the improvements in the vids. nice one
Do some mods/fixes/upgrades, show how those changes affect the car on track driving/lapping, I'm a happy guy. These are my favorite types of videos you guys do.
I freaking love your channel the 2 of you guys do. I think it's a hark back to the Sport Compact Car magazine days of technical details, track and aggressive driving focused builds, interesting cars and great personalities. Always excited to see a new episode drop.
i had a chassis mounted shifter in my e36 rally car with rubber engine and trans mounts and when you tried to shift in a corner the shifter would go out of alignment with the gearbox and miss gears, so i went to a z3 shifter which is short but mounted completely to the gearbox to solve that issue
Sounds like the 90s Honda shifters - metal linkages suspended from the chassis by a rubber bushing so it moves around with the gearbox as the transmission mounts flex. Never had trouble shifting mid corner with them.
Yea yea I know some of these words 🧐
I guess this is similar to my e60 5 series, renewing everything fresh helped a lot, but I have the e60 530/545 factory quite short shifter. Z3m/ a few others I understand to he shorter but can point the location out. Maybe good for LHD?
The way this car behaves is impressive.
I've been following you guys for 2+ years easily, since i saw the Celica project and my dad fell inlove with you channel.
I was waiting to see both of your happy faces all those smiles driving this project on the track and finally the whole community is able to do it.
This probably make my week a lot better.
Best regards from Chile!.
Never let the Silvia go it’s one of your best cars. The shifter is all over the place lol
So glad to see more video’s of this car, keep them coming!
The cars looks (SOUNDS) super good out there. I mean, you may have literally fallen into the "super hero" zone with Fun/Performance/Maint. at this point with the car.
I had the exact same issue with the brake booster to master cylinder push rod. I had a real soft pedal and it wasn't very reactivate. After adjusting it totally transformed the car. It's a step that is easily overlooked, but one that is crucial.
Amazing video guys! so exciting! The car now behaves as good as it looks. It's so good to see you happy and achieving this goals. Keep it up, the best is yet to come.
Love the upgrade on the helmet cam to a better go pro. It makes watching the track videos very enjoyable. It’s crazy how good the Honda K engines perform so consistently on the track. I had my doubts but it’s a great combo with that S chassis. Love your guys’ hustle ❤️
great looking car, also that new outside camera angle inserted to track fottage is looking very good, great work guys !
The edit at 12:54 to include a shot from the camera car and fillingthe audio with hot lap sounds is so sweet. Keep it up!
"watch this" never ends well 😂
@speedacademy I have loved this build and while I'm sad to see it end, I am glad you have gotten it sorted to were it is a fun driving experience.
Actually really liking the new direction of the channel, keep up the great job!
You Dashboard and Gauge Cluster is so clean and amazing it makes the car look fresh
I felt how fun that car is through the video.
Great job guys! A Kouki S14 is my attainable dream car right now.
This was the best video since the Timeout!
You have a good Format here.
So great to see you guys on the track!
one of the few channels that mod & track more info on camber changes, spring changes, tyre pressure front & back. great stuff. i track a k24 ep3 which suffers from snap over steer bigger rubber 235x17 all around got rid of that.
Great video. I think this is what we all wanted. Take the project out and have some fun. We'll come along for the ride.
Buzzing out how the scenery in America can go from green, to desert , really love it, love your content dude! love from New Zealand!
Man that is absolutely killer. We have a few K series projects on my channel we're building. Currently I'm about to start back working on the K24A2 AWD CRX Rally car, then this winter we're starting the 280Z K24 swap. Love the information you guys have given, definite trailblazers here!
Brake booster/master tech = details that you guys cover and why I continue to appreciate what you do.
The "Pimp My Ride" coverage has its place, but I always enjoy the tech side that you guys built the channel on.
Awesome to see the amount of fun you were having in this car!
You know whats wrong with that shifter, you guys raced a s2000. That shifter ruined all shifters 😆
Love this car though..she looks so good! Those action shots are sweet too! 😍
I love seeing the cars more. The shots of the shifter prior to the drive. All of it!!!!
That was a total riot to watch, and I'm glad you guys are back!
Love hearing that engine roar along with how much fun Pete is having
Such a freakin exciting episode fellas. Congrats on the PB!!! Just finished a track day a few days ago so this is reigniting the buzz!!! Big fan of this build and what you guys have done! Until the next one!
Those rolling shots added in with the laps was mint.
Great stuff guys, it's really nice having the exterior views on track.
Great vid guys! I really enjoyed the time on track.
Glad to see you having so much fun PT!
Excellent cliff hanger! Such a beautiful S, can't wait to see what happens to it next!
This channel really deserves way more views and a huge following. Great job dudes! Can't wait to see what happens to this really neat car!
So glad you guys are back!
Another great episode guys, love seeing the track videos too. Nice to see some aditional exterior camera angles!
One of your better videos... keep it up lads.. supporting you all the way from 🇮🇪
Hi Guys!
Love your back and happy to work on your projects and test on the track. I was so depressed when you shut down.
Great video and great uprades on this car. Like to follow this project. I learn a lot.
This is what I have been waiting for.
Please sell it to me and i promise to take it to Nurburg Ring for some serios tarck driving.
It was cool seeing you guys that day
a return to form! love seeing the project cars get developed on-track
Car looks awesome on track! Great job seeing this one through guys! 👍
YESSS! One of the best videos I've seen in a while.
Man those rolling shots are so good
Man that in car track driving segment looked so damn fun! Gotta love the combination of a simple responsive n strong n/a motor in a somewhat lightweight well sorted rwd chassis! I like how this goes against the typical S14 builds seen over the last decade
I love it! This combination is awesome! Love Honda engines. Nothing like hearing it sing to crazy redline as you rip it! Well done, gents!
This brings a smile to my face. Thank you.
Man, this thing carries some tremendous speed! Looks like an incredible driving experience!
I am super impressed with this build. Well done fellas!
Seems to be a blast to drive. Nice video. Well done 👌
Please, please, please don't get rid of this car. It's been around forever, and is a signature car of the channel imo. I think you should hold on to it as a fun car to just hit the track for when you need a break from the other builds. Plus, I think it would be really cool to see it used for hot lapping as a replacement for the Miata (and maybe some mild updates along the way).
Yes! Nice job! I could listen to that car all day!
your driving videos are my favorite. Especially when you both race
So sick, this is awsome! Love the new Go-Pro angles 👍
Great video! That thing looks like a blast on track. Great looking car as well.
I'm not surprised that you all are enjoying this car as an N/A platform. Congratulations and glad to see you've finished this. Now to see if this was sold or given away?
Such a clean gorgeous car! I miss my ‘98!
loved this video! learned something about brakes too
Its nice to see schassis doing grip racing. Great work guys! I would be willing to wait for whatever years to see it back on track. Hope it won't be sold :)
This channel has single-handedly made me a k24 fan
This! I want more video like this! well done :)
Looks awesome. Sounds even better!
Such a great video and car. I would hate to see yall auction or sell this. From the sound of it Pete has had it forever.
So clean! Also I'm excited for when you turbo charge it! Or if its a give away, I would lose my mind!
This is a new Speed Academy. I like it. Can we get some sweet drone shots from the race track?
Great vid. Keep them up!
This is Speed Academy people! This is it! Loved it.
Man!!!! This video was fun!! Really loved. I really want one now lol.if only it was possible. Great video
Looooove your hoodie Dave!
Didnt get any notifications for this channel glad I checked
Man, really love the engine sound 😍
Peter , your car is a legend. Y'all are doing it right.
SA keep up the good work! I need some apparel from you guys!
Looks great and sounds great too 😁👍🏻 great build.
Nice job on this video guys
Such a pretty, well sorted car. It would be fun to tune it to be even better. But, I get that it is time to move on for you guys. Cannot wait for the EVO / STI showdown!!
🥺 this channel deserves more views than they’re getting right now
You made me want to own of these cars and k24 swap it
I'm looking forward to pick me up a s14 next year been wanting one for a long time.
This is that car that made me a subscriber to your channel.
looks so good out there
Love track vids!!!!
It sounds and performs super niceee!!!
Great video the S14 is sick. I had something to interject on your brake pedal. Try replacing the proportioning valve spring in master cylinder. On my Corvette they make a spring to direct more braking power to the rear brakes instead of the front. Helped my brake pedal feel and stopping power tremendously.
Yessss more racetrack videos!
Awesome video Gents!!👍👍😎🤙
Great stuff lads 🤙
A really fun looking video!
A suggestion though - if you could coordinate/synchronize some of what you're talking about with some outside shots showing the car taking some of those corners or accelerating on the straights - would bump it up more. I realize there maybe logistics issues such as track rules and it may take more time to edit the vids and stuff - but just food for thought!? (oh maybe camera's mounted outside on the car?!) Like at around 07:22 - hahaha power slide and the replay slow-mo shot was fun! but also an outside shot would of made it more awsome I think - like 12:35 and so - but u know, as I said, coordinate some of the sequences. Anyways - *hugs* thanks for taking us on your adventures!
End music is great. Like the outtro to a game show from a few decades ago. Btw, would have been nice to see the times before the tinkering and after.
So great seeing an S14 doing grip work around a track!!!
1:20.1 around TMP is super impressive for this setup imo, gives me hope for my s14! Plus if I ever grenade the sr I think I know where to go next... I'm secretly hoping I can pinch some more parts from this build after already snagging the rad from this and turbo from the 930 haha
