First turbo car I ever drove was a turbo 2 Fc3s Shooting flames brapping turbo lag Building boost it’s no s chassis but all the 240 kids let me come slide and hang out! 15 years ago!
I had a beautiful pearl white s14a. Fitted Tein coil overs, Whiteline handling kit, boost controller, full exhaust, full stereo system, security system, ARC air box, etc. It is my favourite car of all time.
Bought my S14A Touring spec, brand new in 2000 (yes i'm old). Gifted it in 2020 to my son for his 25th birthday, with 72k miles on the clock. Fabulous cars, very much underrated.
I am lucky enough to own a Zenki. Build Oct 1995. In FN2. Was a barn find one owner that has full service history from new, bought in 2012. Drove it as a daily driver until 2016 after it developed a water leak on the turbo coolant line that I couldn't locate and fell out of love with it as the quotes I had to fix it, were in the thousands. It stayed in the carport until the beginning of this year when a great friend (who has a tidy 180 btw) decided to help fix it up. I can't thank him enough. It was at this point I fell back in love with it and have spent a few amount of hard earned money adding all the bolt ons to it. The only things left to do is get the spare front bar back from the paint shop and fit the 255lt fuel pump. She is really clean, no dash cracks still has the stock seats with no rips or tears. Original factory SX floor mats, wheels and exhaust. (Although now removed for the cat back). Could be an interesting show case with the S14 Zenki the 180. ruclips.net/video/Xz2Fkg-oWrM/видео.html
Prices of s14s 📈 but hey well said my man I also have a deep love for this car and I’m glad I secured mine when I did before this hype came about. You earned a subscriber for sure 🤟🏽
I bought a 200sx brand new 20 plus years ago - Had all bodywork kept mint and engine kept perfect - Used it for the first 5 years and then very sporadically - 100% original and still have it in my garage - does about 1000 miles a year! Love it
I got a ride in one back in 2001, 550hp at the wheels. The experience was different to a WRX and the GT4. The 200sx was quick, but deadly to drive in the wet, but its braking was even better, obviously upgraded brakes. Those were the days.
My '98 has been sitting for quite a while. I remember when I first got it in '99 and I babied the heck out of it. Also used the heck out of it too. Still have it till this day and it's been sitting for a couple of years. Started researching local paint shops and looking for OEM replacement parts online. I have a crack in one of my headlights and also the reflective stuff on the inside is flaking. Years ago I was looking on ebay for a new set and they ran about $500.00 for a pair. Looked today and they are freakin' $1000.00+ for a pair! Should have jumped on them when I had a chance.
Great content! We bought a S14a days ago. One of the last, clean, non modified units in Europe with only arround 30k miles. Now Im in big conflict. On the one hand I want to keep clean with no big modifications. In the other hand this car is such a great basis for some badass stuff. Im owning already a LS swapped 86. One could imagine my inner devils rumors when standing infront of the 200SX. Advantage: Other then the 86, the engine is a great piece of engineering and definately doesnt need to be swapped by any means... 👍🏻
I bought a ka s13 as my first car straight out of highschool. 2 years later I swapped in a blacktop sr20det and dailyed that for another 2 years. Sold it stupid cheap before the pandemic. I was so depressed i IMMEDIATELY went searching for another 240sx and came across a BONE STOCK s14. S14 is definitely more balanced and refined. I miss having an sr20 but they are becoming impossible to find under 5k usd
I bought my first s chassis about 10 days ago, doesn’t have an engine or transmission but there’s no rust or frame damage and it’s got all new bushings and a bunch of ISR suspension goodies. Plan on ls swapping it since I have a few of them laying around
I bought one on the year 2000 and still have it 23 years later. It use to be my daily but now doesnt get used that much. One day it will get sold and it will be sad to see. Very few descent ones still around. 8:23
Great content more like this please. The car looks and sounds sex. The owner seems like a normal , mentally mature good bloke too, no ego and bravado etc which is what we need more of in the scene . Props to the owner its driven not hidden and you guys are fearless driving in the wet . My mate bought a jungle green s14 few years back and the backend kicked (clear day ) and he clipped a parked car having only owned it for a few days.
Ever seen an Australian delivered version of this car? I have. The mechanic near my parents house has one undercover all original, with only 1,600km on the clock. I remember he said that it was the LAST Australian delivered car that he bought from the dealer in 1999. Imagine the price tag of it. He showed it to us when he was fixing up my brother's 180SX Type X.
Love the 200sx! I self own a 200sx S14a z-edition 88/200. Can see some difrent between the regular 200 and the z-edition. Just to be clear her, the name Silvia is from Japan only! 200sx was called in Europe, Australia and New Zealand. And 240sx in America and Canada✌️
It's funny to hear you wax lyrical about these. I've always thought they were bland style wise. Nothing unique. But the engine and rwd had appeal. I always liked the shape of the S13 (180sx) and S15 more so.
LOL at 13:54 I bet the owner must have puckered up a bit! Being an S14 owner with similar setup I def would be uneasy letting someone else drive my car in those conditions. I know how fast the rear end can lose it especially in the rain
I own one a USDM one and yes iam in the States its got the s14 SR20DET engine with a Tomei turbo on it with a six speed manual 350z trans VLSD rear end CUSCO coilovers blue LED headlights and its a ZENKI its a white car living in IDAHO :)
The KA24E and KA24DE engines are by no means worthless compared to the SR20DET. In the US a KA24DE can be had for under $500, ready to build and have fun with. You can't push quite as much power with the KAs but for the price of a stock SR20DET you can go about forging a KA for serious power, or doing bolt ons and being limited to 300hp depending on which engine. They're highly overlooked
Price wise these days a built Ka>sr20, but Objectively KAs are garbage compared to SRs, to make any decent power you have to build the bottom end which essentially puts it in the same level as any other engine. SRs are nice because you can push them up to a reliable 350 without opening them up. Much better for your average backyard wrencher
My car 😍. Love the video …”most wanted car on the planet “ really?? I’ve had mine for years and it’s in beautiful condition with some choice mods. I completely agree it’s a drivers car and super progressive and fun to drive. With the right mods these are super special cars. What do they go for in Aussie? In the UK the prices have shifted in the past few years, but good ones a very hard to come by….
My dad asked me for my HS graduation what car Do you want. I told him a 240sx he wanted me to get a newer car this was back in 2008 but I denied and he got me a 95 240sx kouki, I went through a truck already and have a Subaru STI and i have people come up to me and offered me cash and I will never sell my s14. I’m about to turn 34 and plan on keeping it for life.
180sx type x midnight purple is probably the most sought after... these cars have really weak gearboxes but handle like a dream... after owning s13 s14 s15 I reckon the r33 and r32 are so much more reliable for Australian roads.
@@lyalminchinton8825 I'm not saying they're not better. I'm saying the market interest is significantly higher. Prices tell it all. I've owned S14As too.
Someone in the S-chassis community should make a VET, send the finished build to their authorities for tests and hopefully help the legalization process of the head swap =/
Good pick-up Jason. It is for now! The driver's side rail with my s15 seat snapped last week and chucked this in while trying to find another replacement.
I bought my first s14 two years ago and now I have two more. I love these cars so much! Glad to see they’re getting the appreciation they deserve
They are the best
too much appreciation, I cant afford one anymore :(

I love that you've chosen the rain and the failing light to showcase the car! It's very 'Hollywood Movie-esk'. Gorgeous car!
