Halo: CE was my first, before I knew how far I'd get into "hardcore" gaming, but no one will be able to convince me that Halo: Reach isnt the best Halo game to date. Not only is the story compelling, gameplay tight with the introduction of new mechanics and abilities, but the lack of fully regenerative health made battles a little tenser, a little more immersive, the characters were unique and you cared about each one. Plus, we FINALLY got to create our own spartan, instead of just outfitting master chief. And in my own personal experience, it introduced me to swat which to this day is some of the best times I've ever had playing games online
Tactical sloth78 Halo 4 was good story wise but 343i failed in the multiplayers aspect. Halo 5 has pretty good gameplay but an awful story and awful launch (remember Forge wasn’t around during launch?).
I haven't had any issues with the game from the first time I played CE to the release of 5. First and foremost it needs to keep firmly in it's roots of a fun to play campaign based game. Strong online multiplayer is second to the campaign.
Crash Schwarzenegger Same and I was in serious denial when I played 4, I kept pretending I liked it as much as Halo 1-3 but it wasnt the same. Its not the same after 343 took over.

I first played halo when I was 11. The previous fps i played was medal of honour on ps1 and using the triggers to fire on halo was mine blowing at the time!
My first Halo game was Halo CE with my dad. Him and me played 2 and 3 together, we beat the original trilogy and not long after he passed away. The impact these games left on my life is important to me and I still play them today. Me and my fiancee have decided to play through the entire series and beat them together. These games have given me joy through my life and hopefully one day they'll make in depth vr halo.
My first game was 4, and then I played Reach, Then 1, then 2, then 3, then ODST, and now 5, and I see why people dislike 4 and 5 and I can see the flaws, but you should also look at what they did right, best wishes, fellow gamer.
I was 5 years old in 2002 when i first played halo CE on my older brothers xbox. It was my first fps I ever played and fell in love immediately, I would play story and split screen with my siblings all the time and did the same with halo 2 when that came out a couple years later. Halo was my childhood franchise that I still adore to this day due to all the great memories I have because of it.
I remember getting the OG Xbox for Christmas right after it came out. I was too young to understand at the time, but it was right after my dad made big strides in his career and our quality of life really improved. All I had was an N64 that I had played for years, and hadn't really experienced what games were or could be. I will genuinely never forget hooking up Halo for the very first time, having no idea what it was or what it was about, staring at the main menu, hearing the Halo theme, getting goosebumps, feeling intimidated, but filled with a sense of wonder and adventure. This game impacted me in a big way as a kid and also led to really great friendships that I never would have made if it weren't for this franchise.
TalonASMI I was talking about my personal opinion not the whole community. I’m aware of the halo 4 and 5 mistakes. I enjoyed the both of them differently.
I credit Halo CE as the game that made me the gamer/man I am today. Playing Halo, which is basically almost 2 decades ago, on the original Xbox with my family members and friends was such a pure time; and I'm forever grateful that we have the current MCC so that today, I can still relive the magic. From the lore, the art and music, to the universe that Bungie and 343 created, is nothing short of legendary even outside of gaming. I will always be a Halo fan, my family will always be a Halo family, and Halo will always be my favorite game of all time.
Halo: CE was not only my introduction to the franchise when it came out but also to being a gamer. The nostalgia is so strong that I continue to play it to this day and dare say that its now the only franchise that keeps me interested in owning an Xbox, at least until I build my first pc
Halo 3 provided so many memories with people I no longer know but enjoyed every infection match with. The community was so creative with the custome map maker and it's what gave halo 3 that extra element of fun.
Halo 2 was my first halo, at that point i wasn’t even a teenager yet but i was introduced to it and fell in love when my friend showed it to me during a sleepover, the first halo game i owned was reach and i was so excited when my parents got it for me. Now i’m 22 and still play every game, I actually only just recently played and completed halo wars and i enjoyed it
And girls into women, i was 6 or 7 when i started playing halo 3, i used to be so good. I played again yesterday and alot of days with my brother came into memory..
Despite never owning an Xbox system, Halo is one of my most favourite game franchises. I have so many good memories of playing it at my neighbours, friends, and cousins places over the years.
Halo WILL reclaim its throne in 2020. We will return to the times when it was a a crime to criticize the game. We’ve been sick and tired of activison and call of duties horrible and scummy mechanics and micro transactions. We will return to the time with filled lobbies with everyone in the lobbies mics on hyped they are playing Halo and having a blast, raging, t bagging, joking, etc. HALO WILL RETURN!
I remember when "Zombie mode" was a gentleman agreement to only use swords and not plasma pistols and grenades. When everyone just hunkered down in one of the rooms on the map.
Played CE, 2, 3, ODST, Reach, 4, and loved them all. I played abit of Halo Wars 1 and the beta for 2. Couldnt stand the story of 5. Halo is one of the best series in my eyes. It helped me dive into gaming more and more. My most fond memories involve my 2 brothers and my dad playing through Halo 3. Reach became my favorite game despite the criticism it had, but I played the game to late, my dad passed just after Reach came out, and because my parents were divorced, my mom's side did not have the same gaming setup my dad did. I had to do it from scratch, fast forward a while later, my cousin and I played Reach often, playing anything from social matchmaking, custom games, Forging around for hours, even going into Ranked once, being demolished and never stepping into it again. Halo is a series that brings people together, from the earliest LAN parties, to the games of today, with Reach's launch on Steam re-igniting a passion for so many. I want to get the game on Steam, just to have that nostalgia again.
My first halo game was 3, my best friend just got an xbox 360. So on one of the first days he had it we just spent the whole night eating his moms cookies and playing threw the entire halo 3. It is one of my favorite experience with gaming and one of the reason i love it so much. We still play a lot of the halo multiplayer online together even though we are half way across the country from eachother.
Played the first Halo when I was a wee boi of 4 years and haven't stop playing halo since. Super excited to see that Halo Infinite is coming to PC and hoping Halo will stay with us for as long as it can.
My first halo was halo 2 and looking back at the graphics compared to now it seemed like I was actually looking at a real life world back then compared to now and seeing its sharp edges. It's crazy how much graphics have improved over the years.
I really love Halo, It was the game that built up my childhood and raised me when my parents couldn't. I was especially addicted to Halo 2's multiplayer, I LOVED the gamemodes. And don't get me started on Halo 3's campaign and multiplayer- It was just fond memories- Late 2008 nights playing slayer with friends and a lot of energy drinks... If there's anyone who does or used to work for Bungie reading this, I just wanna say thank you for making my life as a teen easy and fun.
Been here since Halo 1. I remember getting our first Xbox and Halo 1... I wasn't great at the game (still not), but MAN it's fun! I was really scared to try out new things but I'm SO glad I did! I finally played Halo 2 and fell in love with it. I didn't get to play H3, Reach, or Wars 1 until 2011 but my god, did I have SO much fun doing it! I never got attached to 3 but I did with Reach. Still loving the franchise all these years later
I’m old, so my first encounter with Halo was in college. Halo 1 LAN parties in the dorms was a revelation for me. So, a year or so later, when my girlfriend wanted to be able to watch movies at my apartment, I bought an Xbox, not just a DVD player, so could play Halo, too.
I have played Halo since the very beginning, so many awesome memories of connecting four TVs and four Xbox’s with 20 friends for an intense night of LAN party battles, something the Xbox Live can never replicate.
When I was a kid, 5 or 6, we lived with my grandparents and my uncle also lived with us up in the attic, I can remember just begging to go up and watch him play Halo CE for hours and even sometimes he would let me play. Looking back, he'd let me play while he and my dad smoked pot on the other side of the attic, but man those were the days.

Emmanuel Morales that’s why halo is in the position it is now because fans are content with mediocrity
Not really, Halo is in the state it’s in because all people like you want to do is hate on it and not enjoy how good it is
TalonASMI I was talking about my personal opinion not the whole community.
Halo is my favorite game series. It’s been five years since the last one, there is a lot riding on infinite. I reeeeeeaaaaalllly want it to be good
I hope its a new story, new characters, even if you still play as master chief.
Halo: CE was not only my introduction to the franchise when it came out but also to being a gamer. The nostalgia is so strong that I continue to play it to this day and dare say that its now the only franchise that keeps me interested in owning an Xbox, at least until I build my first pc
I'm so hyped for infinite and this is just getting me more and more pumped
Halo 3 provided so many memories with people I no longer know but enjoyed every infection match with. The community was so creative with the custome map maker and it's what gave halo 3 that extra element of fun.
My brother works at 343 and we've played since the start. love the studio and all it does. cant wait for the next game.
Tell your brother I need a weapon
Tell your brother to give me a free copy of the game
Tell your brother to stop making shit stories
Your brother ruined Halo.
John Veiga DONT but the next game. Speak with your wallet not with your RUclips comment.
Halo 2 was my first halo, at that point i wasn’t even a teenager yet but i was introduced to it and fell in love when my friend showed it to me during a sleepover, the first halo game i owned was reach and i was so excited when my parents got it for me. Now i’m 22 and still play every game, I actually only just recently played and completed halo wars and i enjoyed it
The Master Chief face off
=Helmet =Helmet
Halo 3 was my first Halo; and I'll never forget how crazy the graphics were and how fun those things the brutes drove were

Me: stands up like its the national anthem
Underrated comment of the video. (I’ve already given another comment elsewhere underrated comment of the year)
Inadvertently also a history video on the evolution of game development.
After Reach it's devolution.
Don’t be ridiculous.

@@thecatfather857 It's nice to see someone likes playing with shit. The rest of us will continue to play Bungie's games.
you guys are rocking it lately really hard.
The Pitt on halo 3 was when boys became men
And girls into women, i was 6 or 7 when i started playing halo 3, i used to be so good. I played again yesterday and alot of days with my brother came into memory..
arista_epperson me as well I was 8 when halo came out I was probably the only person in Ireland with an Xbox 360 lol
arista_epperson that’s awesome though!
I have played since the beginning and still is playing
Man playing halo 3 with my friends when we had sleepovers were some of my best memories as a kid.
Bungie should reallign themselves with Microsoft and start making Halos again, no one cares about Destiny when there's Halo
Doctor Sam that’s where you’re wrong kiddo
I am so hyped for Series X and Halo Infinite!
dislikes here comes the fortnite crying babies.....
Despite never owning an Xbox system, Halo is one of my most favourite game franchises.
I have so many good memories of playing it at my neighbours, friends, and cousins places over the years.
Halo stopped evolving after H3.
Ever since then, they've just been shoe-horning in elements from whatever games are popular at the time.
Amazing. Every single thing you just said is wrong.
Can we all agree that gameranx does as superb job at making professional videos that still feel very natural? 👍
Halo 4 was really off putting for me. I've been playing since CE.
Halo 4 is my least favorite.
The first 8 seconds hit me with nostalgia so hard 0:02
My first halo game was 3, my best friend just got an xbox 360. So on one of the first days he had it we just spent the whole night eating his moms cookies and playing threw the entire halo 3. It is one of my favorite experience with gaming and one of the reason i love it so much. We still play a lot of the halo multiplayer online together even though we are half way across the country from eachother.
Played the first Halo when I was a wee boi of 4 years and haven't stop playing halo since. Super excited to see that Halo Infinite is coming to PC and hoping Halo will stay with us for as long as it can.
The original halo is what inspired me to create digital and 3d art back in 7th grade. Now it's my career. I'll always love Halo:CE
My first halo was halo 2 and looking back at the graphics compared to now it seemed like I was actually looking at a real life world back then compared to now and seeing its sharp edges. It's crazy how much graphics have improved over the years.
Started playing Halo when the first one released, and I still play Halo to this day. Halo is more than a game to me, it's family
The Halo series is the best video game series of all time. It’s campaigns and revolutionary multiplayers are unbeatable.
playing halo CE with my friends on blood gulch is some of my best gaming memories
Oh my gosh, I love Halo! I spent so many hour with Halo 1! My church would hold Halo lock-ins and Halo event. It truly changed the history of gaming!
My first Halo was 3 and I'll never ever forget all the good times playing online.
Halo 1 was my first eight years old 2005 343 guilty spark scared the shit out of me back then and I loved every minute of it
I’ve been play since the the first Halo came out I was only 7 when I played it I fell in love with the game, can’t wait till halo infinite comes out
Man such good memories! Started with halo 2 mainly. Of course, miss original Halo series by Bungie. Great scifi stories and game play. Just awesome 👌🏼
Halo 3 was my first halo. I bought almost randomly, and I fell in love with the series. Can't wait to see Infinite
I and my group of friends are making HALO in dreams(the game) on PS4!
Now we will have it too!
Literally just plugged in my old console and SAS showing my son the two player mode and fusion frenzy
