Don't forget you can cast multiple dragonclaws if you have two seals equipped. After the first one they come out quicker and it's really good for trades or catching people off guard!
You can spam it without two seals (one of my favorite surprise pvp combos) but two dragon communion seals will ABSOLUTELY buff that sweet sweet damage.
This dude chasethebro is literally hauling the life force of Elden Ring PvP on his back like no other content creator could. I hope those other creators are just as grateful for chase as we viewers are.
It's cause he's actually positive and at least seems to enjoy what he's doing unlike a lot of the other pvp people I've seen that just complain constantly like they want the game to turn into DS3 2 even though they could literally just play DS3 again. Even if he's technically worse at a videogame with no competitive incentive he's infinitely more enjoyable to watch
@@axis8396yeah that’s a great point. Nothing is worse than trying to watch someone on Elden Ring PvP and ALL they do is complain. I understand fair criticisms here and there but some creators just leave you wondering at the end of a video why are they even playing this game if they’re just gonna bash it the ENTIRE time. Can’t wait for more good vibes and entertaining content from Chase.
@@KtonVwait until the dlc it’s going to sky rocket back into popularity once again which it’s still pretty popular you just gotta be at 130-140-150 level
I know the game already has ancient dragon incantations but I kind of wish they added dragon incants for the ancient dragons maybe like an ancient dragon roar of breath attack of some kind would be cool, besides placidusax. It'd also be cool to have a ancient dragon wing incant, not one you can fly with but when you summon the wings it sends out a waft of wind that knocks down foes. Kind of like force except with extra range
That wing wind spell idea is so great! They already have a bunch of storm/wind attacks so definitely don’t see why they couldn’t have some sort of attack like you described.
I think a black flame pyromancer would be really interesting to see, with the black flame buff incantation on something fast like the iron cleaver or shamshir. Great video!
@@nexonus9513 Scouring black flame and black flame fireball are probably your best options. While they aren't very good on their own, when used together or with something like catch flame you can make a pretty decent build. And the black flame buff is really really good in pve. So i wouldn't say it sucks but there are definitely better options.
@@nexonus9513 They really don't suck. They're designed for dealing with beefy enemies because the damage is based on the target's max health. They shouldn't be your key damage source in a build that uses them-you want them to be backed up with a solid weapon that can use Black Flame Blade or Black Flame Tornado Ash of War. Those two can be really useful.
Greyoll's Roar into Placidusax's Ruin is my favorite dragon combo especially for invading. Greyoll nearly one shots and you can just run at them for the large AOE of damage upon Ruin's cast will get them while they attempt to heal omfg it's the perfect combo. Try it out Chase!

Dragon Communion is probably the strongest overall school of magic, especially for how well-rounded it is. Status application, atk+defense debuffs, dragonmaw does insane physical damage, range aoe in multiple different flavours, and the seal pushes you to level arcane which leads to some of the strongest hybrid builds. It's got everything except healing, but in order to use it you have to level faith enough to use that anyway.
Another underappreciated type of breath attack is done using the special weapon "St. Trina's torch". It's a weapon art, so it even allows you to use the torch itself as a weapon when not breathing flames on your enemies. Maybe worth a try?
Ive been binging your content these past few days while I play minecraft. I’m enlisting into the Airforce and I’m leaving Oct 3, so today me and my brother are going to kill the ender dragon before I log off for a while. Strange how the dragon is on my mind as you post this pvp dragon build haha must be a good sign. Wish me luck!
You mentioned integrated builds so to expand on the roar build - Arcane or bleed scaling weapon with a roar for a great R2, maybe something fast like the stone club along with a few halberds and greatswords if you can heft them.
Yes, please mix in "spells" with regular builds. I've been dying to see how effective you would be using your melee skills with casting to back you up. You've been doing this for so long now, I imagine you could make a very efficient build to bring effective "firepower" at all ranges.
Loving the caster builds but you should do more hybrids where you use casting for mixups etc - why not use Greyoll's Roar as a wakeup for a melee? You totally can!
I’ve been thinking of making a seamless pve build focused around dealing frost, rot and poison paired with veterans prosthetic, poison perfume bottle and dragon breaths because of this video.
You should know, Dragonclaw true combos into a catch flame, and can sometimes work into uncharged O'Flame as well, although, catch flame is more consistent and allows more pressure for follow ups if they survive it. Also, Dragon Communion Seal has a really steep soft cap on scaling after 30 in fth/arc and then again after 45, so it is actually slightly more optimal to go 45/29 here rather than 46/28 (315 incant scaling instead of 313). You can also go 44/30, which nets you pretty much exactly the same scaling as 45/29 and it also gets you access to 30 fth incantations like giantsflame take thee and black flame protection, which I think are useful on this sort of build that is focused mainly on high damage incantations.
Could you do a "grab only" build. I noticed on this and the frenzy build that you only attempted the grab attacks once, then never used them again. I know their harder to land but i think it'd be a nice challenge.
