thanks man now i can tear down and rebuild this mouse. You know that alot of chinese mice use the same cuz i have the same thing except for the deco at the palm rest
I already bought two of these (because they fit really comfortably in my hand), and in both I've had the same part break. If you use the middle button a lot, I don't recommend you buy these mice.
Noticed those switches are not Omron, which can be Japanese made or Taiwan, and used to be in all mice before 2010. Now, the Chinese branded mice, even some newer Logitechs models, use Chinese branded switches, which tend to fail early, like 3-5 years, whereas the old mice have lasted forever, people changed them just because it was old or didn't have enough buttons. Beware, you can buy Omron now made in China, and dunno how long that lasts. You can buy true Japanese Omron switches for not much more. My Logitech mouse is from 2003, going strong. I tried a few of those no-name Chinese mice and same thing, 'good specs' on ads, but in use, it doesn't live up to it, and sometimes the mouse pointer jumps at unpredictable intervals. I bought a few old Logitech mice from before 2010, and just stocked up on those in case my current mouse, 18 years old to date, eventually dies.
I have a cheap RBG mouse, honestly the lights disgusted and exhausted me, there are no software to turn them off. I think I will open the mouse and break the RGB lights myself.
Nice job, I just wanted to know if it was probable that there was some screws under the sticker before I tore it off. And there was, so thanks! I have a cheap Tecknet M002 mouse, for about £6 on Amazon. Been using it for about a year now and it's great, but when I scroll quickly it sometimes reverses direction for a second, and it's really bloody annoying! I thought I'd take it apart and see if there was a problem inside, but there wasn't. I assume it's just shoddy Chinese engineering, or R&D, probably the signal from the wheel getting overloaded when scrolling too quickly or something. Besides that it's been pretty flawless for £6 quid.
i have the same exact mouse just the name is different Zelotes. best mouse ever. i've been rocking this mouse everyday gaming and working. this mouse is a tank.
@@michieb1231 hey bro do u have a problem where when u click the left one it sometimes doesnt work because i need to click it twice or more for it to work sometimes, btw i have the same mouse but also diff name(Zeus)
I bought this mouse (branded "catkil") because I wanted a mouse with a pinky rest. With my ancient MX 400 pinky always got in the way when I moved the mouse rightwards. The problem, for me is this mouse has a wrong shape on the other side. The thumb rests at angle opposite of most mice, on a slope. When you grab the mouse tighter, for aim or to lift it up, thumb tends to slip upwards/inwards.
Beautiful! I was working on an Arduino project and I salvaged one of these mice for it's microprocessor-sensor unit, but the branded version I had on hand had it's microprocessor serial deliberately worn off (why the manufacturer did that is anybody's guess), but at 6:23 you showed yours and now I was able to track down a pinout diagram! Thanks a ton!
MX8871 sensor from China - the whole issue is either that or the lens. Perhaps a knockoff lens made by some plastics company that didn't know what they were doing. The sensor's specs are a bit disconcerting. Not only is the tracking speed insufficient at 30ips, though standard for office mice, the ridiculously low 2g acceleration is a hint that the sensor is running predictively and is not really capable of doing a complete displacement analysis.
Nice video, i have one of these myself an although these are pretty cheap a person from a third world country cant really afford the razer or logitec ones.
It's an amazing piece of technology for $5!!! I bought some of these today, about 6 years in the future, and I am happy! NOT THE BEST, BUT GOOD FOR THE MONEY!
It seems to be a some sort of mass sold 'shit' mouse that gets sold to businesses which just slap there name on it. I have an anko mouse that looks exactly the same. Its mouse wheel broke so it didn't last long whatsoever.
Nearly 3 years ago I was given the monster version of this exact same mouse, same mouse and everything just different logo and I gotta say Ive never in my entire life had a better mouse. literally just today the mouse got fully submerged in sweet tea for a whole 8 hours straight bc it fell in when I went to sleep, I left it for a mere 2.5 hours and it now works perfectly well as it did before, autoclicker and all. The entire time ive had it and to this day it has very little delay, it feels good in my hand, and I've never had any inputs that didnt work or inputs that I didnt do. Its only problem is that you need to use it on a lighter surface or itll lag behind.
i found this video cause i wanted to open my cheap mars gaming mouse, the right click started to malfunction , 7 years after buying it , so is safe to say this mouses are a pretty good deal if you ask me.
Dont be so negative, for the price is a really good mouse for casul gaming, i played tons of clicking and shooters and have a lot of fun, now after almost 3 years, mouse clics are finally getting tired, which i watched your video and this boy was dirty, after cleaning it carefully now its working fine, so thank you a lot for the tutorial.

I don't see how that would happen unless the wheel's thin plastic shaft broke off at the spot where it's inserted into the electromechanical encoder. You better open it up and inspect the damage. And while at it, i'm curious what ICs and sensor they have in it :D
mine didnt open after i unscrewed it, got frustrated and forced it open by bending it just so that i could fit a screwdriver in with m knife :D then i wrecked it
bro, my mouse has a problem with it's cable, about an inch of the cable will make my mouse disconnects if it gets moved/bent, so i need to tape it so it always bends the right way. but now i can only run the mouse at 125hz polling rate, instead of 1000hz (im thinking its because lack of power because some part inside of the cable is dead , so it sends less power) , and the movement of the mouse is now lagging. if i change to these paracords, that means the problem will be fixed if the problem is indeed my mouse's cable, right? thanks PS; sorry for bad english and explanations, im not a native.

I had to open it to fix one of the side buttons, and when I put it back together the top of the mouse was lifted in a way, like I would have to push it down harder in order for the mouse to click. And the sensor at the bottom didn't move the cursor. Any thoughts on what I did wrong?
I was just cleaning my mouse, and one of the side buttons fell into the mouse... and Im too scared to open up the mouse because its the only one I have and I probably wouldn't know how to get it fully working again

There's always hidden screws under the feet. There can't be much more to it than that, once you take them out, you wiggle things apart. Hama mice usually have a latch near the front somewhere, so the top or the bottom needs to be pulled back. On some mice, there are also hidden screws under the paper label, but i don't think Hama usually does that.
