I'm in highschool and our school was picked as the featured choir in Missouri, we sing a private Concert at Carnegie hall in New York, so ready to sing this song for the audience
this is amazing!!! performed this in february for all-county choir... I'm a 1st soprano and my vocal cords were dead by the end of it. but super fun though, I love when you can really get into a piece and feel its energy. And for the people complaining about no blending, I think in this version that staccato sound actually works well and adds to the intensity of the song. just my opinion though. again, astounding!!! got chills.
Joe Vigil holy moly. what a story. its been more than a year now but if i remember correctly i believe we actually had two pianists on the same piano for this one!
I'm a 1st soprano too, but with a very high range, so this song really appealed to me. I loved it, how sometimes you had to those high notes softer... it was wonderful. We had a student, who was also a choir member and a friend of mine play the piano, and he was absolutely fantastic. Very talented.
I performed this in high school with our concert chorale as a Tenor I. As challenging as it was, we perfected it and made the piece sound incredible. I miss it so much.
I'm singing this piece in choir now. I'm in chamber choir, which is the best of the best at my high school and I'm having a tough time with it. we all are honestly. but I believe we can do it.
This needs to be on Spotify. I tried finding this on Spotify and it's non existant. the songs which are labeled Lamentations of Jeremiah or nothing like this version. And I love this version. If there is any way to digitize this rendition and put it on Spotify. I would put this alongside my book-reading-playlist because it's that good.
Lol my high school choir is performing this in 4 days and I've only been in rehearsal 4 times and my whole choir is shaky on it but apparently we can do it. praying
The Sop1 tone in this version is perfect and doesn’t drown out the altos I am so happy this morning. Also am hearing a new note towards the middle of the chorus coming from an alto or tenor - was that intended and always there? sang this arrangement over a decade ago so maybe it’s just my tuning going out lol
+Super Feel I have done this song before, yes chorus is always saying keep your vowels round! and make sure to blend ( even though I agree the A lot part could have been louder) But this song is just about the spirit and power, to where it not only sounds and feels amazing to you, but o who you are performing it to
To anyone who is saying "no blending" or "choppy", it's written to be sung that way. This choir did an amazing job at performing this amazing piece.
Wow. God bless.

I'm one of the accompanists for my chorus, and I thank god i wasn't chosen to play this one. our concert was last night, and this song gave me chills
Preformed at the 5A competition this year with central and sang on that stage, we got 3rd now we are doing this piece and I love it
저희 합창단이 곧 공연을 하는데 참고로 보고 있어요. 웅장하고 강약조절, 화음 모두 훌륭한 공연이네요!
My choir is just starting to learn this and we love it already
I sang this my freshman year of high school it was lit.

It is on Spotify, in spanish "lamentaciones de Jeremiah"
Beautiful
The dictation is reminiscent of a chant or spell - makes a freakin cool interpretation, props to the conductor for their innovation.
I have to sing this song for grade 10 choir. Very difficult song
Yes it is a difficult piece. Many of these students were 10th graders when they performed this piece and worked really hard on it.
+Jayde Chapman I performed this in my 7th and 9th grade year, We are trying to get our chorus teach to do it again xD
Jayde Chapman I loved this piece. I did it my junior year. man, so beautiful. yes, very difficult

It's not supposed to blend. This song is supposed to sound like something is wrong.
