Have you earned any $$ yet from RUclips, whether that's AdSense or Affiliate Links or maybe even Sponsorships or digital product sales. I"m curious how ya'll are planning out your monetization strategy!
I've earned most of Amazon money from sharing links with people directly. My highest commission thus far was $20 off of a bulk order of $400 in things I personally recommended to someone.
Great video 🙌🏻 you are doing great 👍🏻 I think your videos are high quality and I for see you going very far on this platform 🎉 I am still in the baby step stage in my video and RUclips journey! I have made 0 $ so far but that’s to be expected as my videos are not of high quality yet!! Thank you 😊
Climbing the mountain with you, lol, just started my channel 6 days ago, took awhile to figure my niche that I am comfortable with and the learning curve of actually posting with the correct set up, congrats and be blessed sir, salute
Keep going! hard to find advice that is applicable to someone just getting started, I will be following the journey, big things ahead! Appreciate you Ty! #growtogether
Thanks Ty for your great info. I just subscribed to your channel. I’ve been making videos since January 2022. Hit 1000 subscribers ten days ago. I’m still loving it and learning more and more about video filming and especially editing. Thanks again! Keep on truckin’!
I have also just started out again on RUclips, and I'm currently learning so much valuable information from RUclipsr like you, so keep up the great work. I wish u the best !
I just found your channel and love all the tips. Your explanations are really good. I'm just starting a channel and feel so overwhelmed with all the things I "should do". So glad to find your channel because the tips are very helpful and explained so clearly.🙂
aww thank you kindly Colleen and Sal :D First, I'm so very jealous of your retirement plans. It sounds amazing what you're doing and I think documenting it sounds like a lot of fun (if for nobody else, just for you guys). I wish you all the best as you get started. Starting off simple is the best way, don't over-think it or plan "too" much, just have all the fun and your tribe will find you :D
@@Ty_Myers Thank you so much for the encouragement Ty. I've now gone back to your first video and am working my way through all of them one by one. I know your channel is going to hit 1,000 subscribers, and way beyond, in no time because they are SO helpful. I wish you the best of luck with your channel as well. I hope you keep doing what you're doing!
@@MrMrsBaez well that's wonderful and thank you for the kind words! I hope I can keep finding ways to be useful. It's a slow process learning. I'm looking forward to your first videos!

I’ve done a great deal of research and built my channel around proven methods, but I have no growth. So it’s been a very disappointing journey for me so far.
I made $3.63 in affiliate links. Then decided to remove it since my impressions drop since putting it in my descriptions. Now impressions are back to normal.
Hmm, I'm not sure having affiliate links would have any impact on impressions. Do you think it could be a fluke situation or have you tested it a few other times?

@@vivveene I feel you on this :D umm, mhmm, like, ahm and eyes darting was me too. It takes a while and practice. If you want to get better at this, my advice would be to just practice it with just yourself and your camera (without posting it). Practice keeping eye contact for an extended period, even if no words come out. Other times, just try and talk without pausing even if it's full of umm, and mhmms. I've been doing 3-5 minute morning vlogs for the last 3 months (since I started) just so I could get more familiar talking to my camera. I think it helped, and most days I didn't have anything interesting to say. I just reported out what was on my mind or what I was working on. That's all. But it's also completely okay to not feel like you need to work on this. You gotta be you, and trust your gut without people like me telling you what to do. But this was my experience and it was helpful for me.
I just made a big purchase for a bunch of stuff. Some stuff I needed for my channel and some stuff for my kids. Let me know if it properly used your link. I bought your mic btw.
Oh nice! It's a great mic I think you'll like it. The only drawback is that you'll need to be stationary with it, BUT I actually took it to the park one day to record and it takes usb-c power so it plugged right into the phone and worked perfectly. I do see it in my Amazon Associates portal, I got that same Gator Arm too but I've only used it a few times since I got a mic stand. I'll be using it more as I tweak my recording space a bit. Let me know how you like them once you get em. Thanks for using my link!
I paid for google ads on 1 of my videos and it exploded. I went from 200 subs to over 3,000 in 2 weeks. 3 videos combined took me to 475 watch hours and they are all under 4 minutes long. I don't see a lot of people talking about ads to help drive the traffic. Sure it was an experiment that cost me about $200 in total, but I'm almost an 8th of the way to the watch hours. I'm going to cut my ad budget in half and see what happens. Now that I have 3,000 subs from short videos, maybe I can make a 15 min video and get a lot of them to watch it. That's my test.
Interest, and good input thanks for sharing. I heard a similar story from another smaller creator who paid to advertise a video and it got a lot of traction. I hadn't considered it.

I’m still wondering how you vidIq boost situation is going!! I still haven’t taken the plunge. 😂 I leaned something new about the affiliate Amazon thing!!! That’s cool! Great job bro.
Jerry it's worth the free trial if you haven't yet done it. I got some value out of their vidIQ Academy which has a lot of good RUclips growth and training material. I do like the Keyword Research tool and think there's a lot of value there but I'm not really chasing keywords right now as I'm still just trying to find my own unique voice vs jumping on trends. The AI Coach is neat but it still feels somewhat limited and generic. I think with better versions of ChatGPT coming, it might get smarter. I do like that it can break down some of the things working well for the channel though. The FREE version is a good safe bet for most people, but trying Boost on a trial basis is good just to tinker around to see if you like the Boost Features. Apparently there is a Discord group for Boost members but I haven't gotten into that yet (so busy)
