Your channel is 100x more informative than the majority of “YT channel building “ channels that have hundreds of thousands of subs. Keep going fella. Your channel is gonna blow up.
Spot on bruv - Age is certainly no barrier - Hell l'm over 60 and l've only just started 😁 Plus you're right - in my life so far l've often found a key strength to success in so many challenges is to absolutely NTGAF 💪 Like you say it's amazing how it seems 99% of people seem to reject themselves first before giving anybody else a chance 😂
Honestly Mark, you were the inspiration for this. I think it was in our Talk to Camera Creator Bootcamp you made a comment in about being at an age where you don't have to care (or something along those lines) and that really stuck with me, so I'm trying to adopt it and remind myself that I've only got so long left and it makes next to no sense to waste any time G'ingAF what other people thing. So there's that.
I think you are doing great, you are very well spoken and you have a lot of great information to share!! I think you are going to grow quickly!! You come across very comfortable and confident. Thank you for the pep talk 😊
You talk to the voices in MY head too? I expected that to be a private conversation this whole time, I had no idea anyone was listening in. Great video Ty, you always have the best introductions and Analytic advice.
Your “riff on the roof” video popped up in my feed this morning. It hit me at the right time as I try to launch my channel as an over-40 (WAY over lol). Then that video brought me to this one and as I watched, I thought, “Hey, I think that’s my library building in the background.” Then I headed over to your gear video (thanks for the tripod recommendation btw), which confirmed you’re in the Denver area. Hey neighbor! 👋 Thanks for the inspiration. Looking forward to watching you succeed as you continue on your YT journey.
I've been watching your stuff for the last 3 days and have already watched your subscribers number go up in that short period of time, that ALONE is getting me pumped up and ready to start :) and of course your content! Keep it up brother!
Love this message. Keep at it, Ty. I just started this channel not long ago with my boys and it's definitely a learning experience. First 10-20 videos for sure are training wheels. My first two thumbnails were mediocre at best and my latest i feel is pretty decent. The content we've created so far has been lackluster and my boys when re watching admit to themselves that it would not keep their interest which is a great lesson in being self aware. Looking forward to your journey while we're sailing our own as well.
Thanks so much! Good on you for starting and getting your first videos out 👏 That takes courage and even more so to admit when you see something not working and to remind ourselves to remain patient and try to find the joy in it as we're learning. I think about how at some point in the future, we'll look back on our first 6 months and will miss some of the new-ness of it all. So here's to enjoying these growing pains :D
Great encouragement! Thank you!!! Im definitely failing….but learning while I keep pushing through. Eventually I’ll figure out what settings to have on my camera 😜 thank you for all of your help! I can tell that you are going to ROCK THIS!!!! 🙌
Ty, please know this comes from a place of respect and I hope you take it as it's intended. Yes, you may have friends who were just "playing along" with your YT dream. But perhaps some of those were genuinely happy for you. It wasn't an act. They saw your passion and shared it. I would caution us to have the IDGAF attitude if it comes with that negative undertone. Let's not let paranoia stop us from sharing our dreams with others in our lives. But, in the off chance that you only have people in your life that are superficial... then I venture to say that's as YOU situation/problem. Seek better friends. I'm a new subscriber and I look forward to seeing your journey. Great content. Awesome editing and beautiful delivery. Wishing you well!
I appreciate the input and feedback. I hope I wasn't too negative, I think I just got a little wound up. There was a fellow in a Camera Confidence course that I took back in July and he had started a little bit after I did and he was maybe 15-20 years older than me, I was really impressed by how comfortable he was already, far more than I was, speaking to camera. I forget how it came up but we were talking about why people are scared to be on camera and it's a lot to do with what others will think of them and his response to me was that he's too old to care anymore, and that really stuck with me and I that's where that sentiment came from. I will say though, being on camera now 20 times, I do feel a bit more free or liberated from fear about what others might think. I believe that's a better way to be as so much of our lives is governed by fear (rejection, failure, etc). Thanks for checking out this video, and I truly do appreciate your support 🙏
@@Ty_Myers Oh, I do agree with what you said. We can't worry about what others think. I just meant perhaps we should be cautious not to think that EVERY person in our life doesn't care. I mean if you read these comments from strangers who support you...there may be a chance that friends and family support you as well? :) Keep going, my friend!
This comes across as so genuine and authentic. Really really enjoyed the video. Thanks for sharing it all with us.
Thank you sir! I really appreciate that. Same, I wish I had realized sooner but we each arrive on our own time. (also something I'm learning to be okay with)
