10 for me!
I don't think introverts are MADE for RUclips. I think like most things, RUclips can be a good tool... But like any tool it can do harm. Disassociation can be a problem, where your one thing in real life and another thing online.
I'm glad you said this. Based on what I've suggested in this video, might you suggest a different title for this video, or is what I'm saying altogether wrong? I've been wondering whether this title was too presumptuous. I don't want to speak for all introverts, as there's a lot of variability between individuals. I'm curious about your thoughts.
I resonate. ❤ I like working by myself. I’ve always struggled with feeling drained by social interaction and do feel like I’m not interesting at all. In real life I’m often left out of conversations and ignored. But since my tiny channel is to make people fall asleep mostly, being tremendously boring is a plus. When people comment they passed out immediately by watching my video it’s a compliment😂 a weakness in a context may be a strength in another. thanks for the video.
Hey from the looks of it, you're doing pretty good! You've got some videos with a great amount of views. I love the fact you're able to find a way to contribute on RUclips despite what others might consider a weakness (I don't). Have you found a particular style of video that does better than others?
@Ty_Myers it’s not bad considering I only use a phone and have no previous skills. thanks for taking interest in my little channel. I’m still just experimenting quite a bit and doing what I feel like. Whispered tours to spaces (room, bathroom, apartment) and show and tell videos do a little better I think. If you know of good apps to make thumbnails on an iPhone make a video about it 😉
@@socksandsandalsASMR I use Canva for thumbnails. My thumbnails are very basic. One thing you may consider is a single language for your titles (vs some in english/portuguese). And just be sure that whatever text you include in your thumbnail really stands out against the background image. And also consider the feeling or emotion you intend for your audience to have, is there a way to convey that in your title/thumbnail? I really like the "cozy asmr" thumbnail because it's very simple and the colors are warm and match the cozy feel. The "private bedroom tour" is also good because that comforter looks super soft and inviting. In the Halloween thumbnails, they seem too busy with too many competing elements. That's just my initial thought, so take it with a pinch of salt :D
@ 🙏🏻 thanks for the feedback. I got Canva on my phone. I need to take the time to learn! 💕
Congratulations on getting 1k subscribers. I’m an 8 on the introvert scale and doing badly with youtube. I think I have a really bad personality.
Is it okay if I ask what your goals are with RUclips? Are you looking post videos mostly to document your life, projects you're working on, milestones, and primarily as a hobby for yourself? Or have you thought much about lending your life experience, perspective and insights to help others work through things they may be going through, or perhaps to solve a problem for others? Curious your thoughts.
@@Ty_MyersI guess I was curious to see if I have any value outside of my job. To see if my existence matters. I cover lots of subjects including my job, my life, longevity discussions, reactions to events that occur, preparing for retirement and challenges I am facing and politics.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts
Thanks sir!
😊
Ty, excellent video. You keep inspiring me to do more.
Thanks sir, I appreciate you watching and your support :D
I see myself as a ‘communicative introvert’. My energy gets drained if I’m in a mass social environment but I can be deeply engaged in conversations with 1-2-1 or small groups. Working on RUclips is a massive step outside of my comfort zone but it’s getting comfortable as I go along, especially getting to know so many fellow soloists like your channel too. Congratulations on hitting >1K subs! ❤❤❤
Thank you! And I think I'm pretty similar to what you described as well. Glad you're working through the discomfort. I'm also finding it considerably easier as I go. Congrats on your successes as well!

D-Ho! haha thanks man, I was trying to find your channel when you had your finance channel, whatever happened with that?
@ ahhh yeah it was a lot of work to be able to put out content consistently. IG was easier for me so I had some luck there but I’ve been slacking a lot on content in 2024. Need to get back to it again.

🥰Hello Ty, Thank you for sharing. 💕NonnaGrace 🐓
No problem and thank you NonnaGrace for watching :D
Another great video, Ty! Confirmed old introvert and happy to not (usually) contribute to the noise. Oh, and congrats on passing that 1K threshold! Well deserved! (Ok, enough with all the exclamation points.)
hah thanks Jim, I appreciate you sir.
@ Right back at ya!
Hello Ty, your conversation makes a lot of good sense. NonnaGrace 💕🐓.
:D Thanks NonnaGrace I appreciate you watching this one!
I was actually thinking about this topic too! Voice recordings help too and I have been taking walks and talking to myself to get me comfortable with my voice (whisper so I don’t look totally crazy 🤪) great video!
That's awesome, I haven't yet built up the courage to film out in public while others are around. At some point I do want to do some walk/talk style videos but I do worry about people looking at my crazy :D
Ty Myers 1.01K subscribers !!!!!!!!
Yes sir! Broke 1k last night, feeling grateful. Thank you for your continued support!
@Ty_Myers forever buddy.
Love the video Ty! A lot of very good points made. The interesting thing is, that not only are introverts Made for RUclips, but most RUclipsrs actually ARE introverts. There's a reason why most short form creators try their hardest to make it on RUclips, and most won't make it. Because people are looking more and more for connection, relatability and vulnerability, instead of a quick dopamine hit. There is a lot of comfort to be found in watching people talking about the same things we are going through ourselves, and you're hitting some very important points, that a lot of people need to hear! Excited, where this channel is going to go <3
Thanks sir, I completely agree and of course appreciate you insights as always.
Hi Ty. Happy the RUclips algorythm did its job and showed med this video. Very relatable video this. I am mostly an introvert. What you said about 'not keeping up in conversations' is recognisable. I generally have a quiet voice, hard to hear. I generally don't think I have something to say that is worthwhile. And here I am on RUclips, with my own channel that has been going for a little over a year (with its ups and downs). I did about 40 videos without showing myself and decided last month it is time to give my channel some personality: me. Felt really vulnerable but it has changed the way I do videos and I like creating videos even more now. I still need to get used to looking at myself and even after 40 plus videos still need to get used to my voice. But like you said: maybe you have a hobby that is not featured much. Eventually you will find 'your people'. I think I did. Anyway. Thanks for your insights, going to watch a few more of your episodes now. Take care!
Thank you Chris and kudos to you for getting on camera. I know it's different for everyone but after 33 videos I'm now completely okay with how I look and sound on camera. Initially I wasn't. I'm just really happy to have moved beyond some of those initial fears and worries. I hope what others can draw from this is that it's possible to overcome a lot of what holds us back so long as we commit to trying. Congrats on all your success so far :D
Scale of 1-10, where do ya'll sit on the spectrum of extrovert (0) to introvert (10). I would say I'm about a 6 most days but can sometimes be an 8 or a 4. Anyway, this was my take on why I think RUclips is a great platform for Introverted people who'd like to create content. There are so many ways to make videos and self-express that don't require you to be on camera, but for those who want the challenge, there's some tips in here. Let me know what you think!
Back and forth between 3 and 7 I think.
8-10. I have to try really hard to notice the outside world. With isolation (social media doesn't count as a social activity) I've developed dissociation, I don't know what I feel, when I ask myself how I feel, my answer is 'nothing'.
@@Mel-mu8ox Thanks for being honest and vulnerable. You're the first person to mention social media in the context of introversion in relation to my video. I do wonder how much of my own "introversion" is influenced by my proximity to social media. I've no way of knowing if it's making it more severe or less. What do you think your experience has been?
Great video, my friend. You’re touching on a lot of subjects in this video that people need to hear.👍
Thanks Mike :D I appreciate you watching sir!
cause i can't make it in real marketplace ? ☕😀
heeey there, I'm not sure I know what you mean. Let me know what's on your mind 🙏
Thanks for sharing, and congrats on your success! I started my channel around the same time as you but my numbers are terrible. Really don’t know what I’m doing wrong. I’ve done a great deal of research and built my channel around proven methods, but I have no growth. So it’s been a very disappointing journey for me so far.
Can I ask if the voice overs and script you're using are both AI generated? Have you considered recording your own voice for some of the narration?
Thank you for sharing this Ty, great stuff, I was trying to create something similar 🙏
You are very welcome, I hope you find it useful :D
Hello...I found you through the RUclipsr "Old Me Living Better "Thank you so much for sharing 🙂.
haha noooo problemo thanks for watching!
how do I change personal to business channel?
Hey there - see if this video is what you're looking for ruclips.net/video/iZb5FxcGbRs/видео.html There are some steps to convert it from Personal --> to Brand
Bro, these videos make me laugh, i’ve been posting since 2015, have 400+ videos, barely 100subs…the idea of earning a living doing RUclips seems so out of reach…honestly RUclips is a public journal.
Yep, I definitely agree it can be a public journal, even a great family journal too (posting private videos). Are you interested in earning money from RUclips, or are you interested in capturing memories and events? Both are completely valid, just curious about your thoughts on your channel!
This is amazing! Not many people are implementing these strategies and growing to this extent. I truly love your video concepts and knowledge, this feels like a great place to learn.
Thanks so much! I appreciate your feedback, is this something you may tinker around with do you think?
@ I can try 🤔 I try to get better at learning how to make better videos and through strategizing outline, thumbnail, and titles for example, but that’s the extent I know, I admire how you tried to recreate a viral video because many people don’t take it that far in their learning. :) it takes a lot of self awareness and growth to do this so I will try my best. And your organizational tips are great to learn from too!
@@DivinelyRoseTalks that's great and thank you again :D
This is interesting, I mean we all take inspiration from other creators but never really thought about recreating and learning. Great video btw.🎉🎉🎉Thankyou 🤘🏻
Thank you! I was thinking about when somebody learns an instrument, they often try to play a song they know as a way to getting better all around. Similar concept in m view :D Thanks again for checking it out!
Hello Ty, thank you for sharing this with us. 💕NonnaGrace 🐓
You're so very welcome, thanks NonnaGrace :D
Hands down your best video yet. Love it. Messaging, editing, storytelling all on point! Great progression! I was struggling with this very topic over the weekend. Found a video I wanted to model and felt "dirty" so I changed it up. I won't feel that way in the future thanks to you! 🤣 Nice work!
Thanks Dave, I think as long as there is a subtle nod to the source content, it's worth the experiment :D
Congrats on your growth! We all wish our growth was faster, but I think you’re delivering real and sincere value.
Thank you! Trying :D
Grabbing knowledge from well performing videos of other creators is such a good way to learn, and they probably learned that stuff from someone else, who learned it from someone else, who learned it from a book about writing good articles who probably just rewrote something they learned from another book etc etc :) The biggest mistake I did «back in the day» when I was learning graphic design was thinking that all the great designs I saw out there where *just* the product of their imagination, dreamt up in a vacuum - boy was I wrong. It held me back for years discarding stuff cause I felt it was too similar or I knew it was vaguely based on someone’s something. Musicians do it all the time, writers do it all the time, and to be honest a good youtube script like for the video you lifted things from, those tricks about value up front for each segment, is just a regular tool used in writing all the time :) I’ve been toying with a variation of this idea of actually taking a video, and «blueprinting» the structure of it (use b-roll when the original creator uses b-roll, switching between primary and secondary storyline at the same points, inserting in between segments when they do, but *not* copying shots or content or anything of that nature, just shot by shot copying the structure of the edit and nothing else, as an experiment and a learning process, hopefully I’ll have time to look at it during xmas when things are a bit quiet :) On a different note, it’s fun to see how some of our metrics from analytics are following the same trajectories based on amount of videos, although you have all of yours within a tight 16 week timeframe, while my 20-ish videos are spread out over 8-9 months, (or a year counting the first 2 «proper» ones). My last one from thursday, filmed in just an hour and edited in 45 minutes, suddenly exploded on friday/saturday at 2.6k views and 177 watch time hours right now, and bringing in 90+ subs in just 3-4 days (but 134 subs from all the new video views across the channel in total) - it’s just wild how something just explodes like that out of nowhere, the graph just turned into a wall overnight, youtube sure is fun sometimes :)
Exactly, everything is a remix. And yeah in retrospect, it's so obvious about the "desired outcomes" and "pain points" and why it makes sense where they are, but sometimes (at least for me), unless I can kind of visualize it structurally in an outline, it's completely clear to, which then goes back to this idea of spending a lot of time scripting etc (unless of course these things come naturally when just riffing) I saw that last one, it was great. I think what helps is your style and communication and your scene changes. So there's things you're definitely doing right whether instructed to or not :D I still need to watch the DaVinci Resolve one
Also congrats for breaking 500/600!
@ Oh definitely scripting/outlining helps a lot, especially if one first gets everything down on paper in a logical structure with focus on facts, and *then* spend time prefacing the facts with those early sells in the segments like you described :) Highlighting the important parts of what’s to come without revealing the details to keep people watching for the lowdown is the art ;) Over time it does almost become a natural way of thinking, almost like an instinct, for some people :)
@ Hahaha, thanks :) Didn’t really expect that to happen like it did, gotta be honest, chucked that video out on wednesday and seeing it sit at 8/10 for most of thursday I got in my car on friday morning to drive for 8 hours and halfway through the trip the phone went ding ding ding ding suddenly with comment notifications galore ;) Fun to see something that simple get a little traction, big question now is what to follow it up with, last time something like that happened I let 2 months fly by without time to make a new video, so this time I might try to do youtube right and actually make a follow up to report back on how that turned out ;)
Another great video. I’ve got a couple of ideas for the new year. I might have to style them on market leading videos. Thank for the great idea. 👍
Thank you sir! It was a fun, yet very time consuming, exercise.
I really love this idea! I think I'll try this out. I'd like to experiment with different ways to film and edit and I think this would be a great way to do this. Thank you!
Right on! I'd love to take a look if/when you do. Is there a video in mind you might use?
@ Not yet, I really want to make sure it aligns with my current audience even thought it’s small, but I’ll definitely be thinking about that this week
Let’s go Ty! You are very close to monetise 🎉
Weeeeell, still a ways away from 4000 Watch-Time Hours. But thank you, we'll get there!
Another great video. Looking forward to next week when you hopefully hit your 1000 subscribers! I’ve started a deep dive into a few content creators but I’m going to change my approach to more closely align with how you do it.
Thank you Marletta! Much appreciated <3
Hey! i wanted to drop in and say congratz on your youtube growth! great videos! I noticed you are getting subscribers very fast, well compared to my channel. I got my 4000 watch hours first then i was able to get 1000 subscribers. I think the reason is that i started live streaming the game i was playing and looking at my analytics that spiked my watch time hours so fast. Subscribers was way slower. So maybe having a live stream session where you teach something for a couple hours without any edits so people who are interested can watch the whole process to learn. This way you can get your watch time hours up and help the community at the same time.
Heeey, thanks for the input, I had actually been thinking about this as well, I think it's a great idea. Maybe I'll Livestream an editing session and see if people are interested in seeing how I edit my videos. How long would you stream for and how many viewers would you get? Did you notice if those livestreams got a lot of views AFTER the stream had ended once it was a regular video on the channel?
@@Ty_Myers do u have a discord?
im asking so i can share the analytics image
@@Ty_Myers keep in mind tho, youtube will not save the VOD of your live stream if its more than 12 hours, i dont know if you can teach something for 12 hours but just a tip if you want to teach how to code in python or something... my gaming videos were 9-11 hours long, which was a series, so people who started watching came back to watch the rest of the series. i got views after the live stream ended... i made my own thumbnails on canva. if you need a great video idea, Top 10 Essential Apps/Tool you need as a Content Creator on RUclips.. you can talk about pros and cons, free vs paid versions, where to use these programs and why. me personally i would watch that if were starting on youtube.
Have you ever done this? If so, what did you learn by deeply studying another creators content?
I'm just gonna start copying Dough Dash.
omg loool, I would die 😵

Great idea to recreate a successful video. I've done something similar with songwriting before as an exercise. I lean a few songs from an artist paying attention to what chords they use, melody structure, instrumentation, etc. and then write song that sounds like one they'd write. It's a good way to force you do try something outside of your norm. May have to find a video to recreate now and see what happens!
Love that, I'm curious if you end up making a video how it shakes out.
@@Ty_Myers I'll keep an eye out this week for one to replicate 👍
thank you for putting out quality content... secondly.. what is your opinion of tube magic ? ☕😀
Anthony's a great guy - always willing to answer comments and help out. Smart move to deconstruct one of his videos!
Thanks Ted, he seems like it and his videos are top notch
Option #2 for the win! Thanks :)
yay glad it worked!
