I have been on a 146 Turbo cat for 3 years. It has so much traction compared to Polaris. The 146 Turbo Freeride was pretty close. The Polaris track was so bad. I have a 154 and 165 turbo cat as well. The 146 has taught me more than any other sled. The 154 2.6” Cat is slow motion after riding the 146 in a good way. Makes you feel like a hero. A 165 is very difficult to figure out bow ties and hop overs on. The 146 comes around so easy. The 146 makes a bad snow day a fun day where a 165 wouldn’t be worth unloading unless you are just taking pictures. A 146 definitely has zero wheelie bar but it’s fun if you’re riding with slow guys or the wife a lot. It’s definitely a workout on a big snow day but I honestly like 3 day old snow over fluff. I ride Idaho not Colorado so this is all relative to snow with body that’s not exposed a lot.

agree with mostly everything in here... especially people riding sleds they aren't ready for or riding sleds that don't fit their riding style or area they ride.
influencers flashing the 146 turbo as the preffered Instagram hot boi hopover edit sled has also probably contributed.
146 is great for 90% of mountain sled things... (if you are aggressive, very experienced and physically fit) they don't "suck" though...

I agree, in my opinion they "suck" at certain things. We could do a similar video on 165s they are great at somethings and they aren't ideal for others. That is why there are different track options. But yes I agree they don't suck, if they fit your riding style like you talked about. For some they really do suck and they struggle the entire day on them. That is also in the conditions where we ride. Lots of other places a 146 is the go to! Thank you for watching.

154" is short for me. I Ride North, North Sweden. Its like a crossover for me. We have this super soft deep snow beginning of the season up here in the very north. 146" sure in packet spring conditions. Neee 146 hype will end soon.

That's awesome! It really depends on the rider and their style/ability. People need to get what works for them not what other people tell them they should get!

    I live in Utah. I'm 227lbs. On a 146, I spend the whole day in a trench.

hahah I hear that. Everyone has to get what fits them the best and fits what they like to do!

I got a 165 last year (first year back after 15 away) and I'm going to a 155 this time. It's the best all-around track IMO UNLESS you are riding deep pow all the time in Colorado or somewhere. BUT.. the dealer that I snow-checked my Catalyst from is jerking me around so I may just say F it, sell the Khaos (which I'm selling regardless) and walking away from the sport. I don't have the patience for games. I contacted Arctic Cat about it and they were interested in helping. And no more Polaris machines due to the recalls and awful resale value.

If I had one sled it would be a 155 I don't think you can go wrong they do everything pretty dang good. Maybe hit a different dealer up and work with them. It would be a shame to quit because of a dealer...

Plenty of people rallying factory turbo 146s in the deep mountains in west. Maybe not sugar snow in Colorado. Far west heavier snow people love them.

I agree I was on a 146 90% of last year. But I think for the average rider, depending on conditions, it still can work but is not ideal. I have talked to a lot of people that regret buying a 146 because it made riding a struggle. I love my 146 but I don't think it's for everyone, especially if you only have one sled. That's my opinion.

His sled he had at Hay Days was a long track. I think 165 or 174 which people were saying it was a 174, so thats just what I am saying he has more than one sled. 146s are great but for the average guy in the west they aren't ideal if thats their only sled. Thats my opinion.

146 in Ontario is crank for you know you know the Hydro lines ditch banging swabs playing around me. You know what I mean that’s what I use at 146 in Ontario for. And it’s an Arctic Cat Alpha 146 2.6inch lug but it’s 2022 all I’ve done is for stage two speed works Ice Age spindles is it that’s all
