    • @duckdestroyer2412
      @duckdestroyer2412 Месяц назад +3

      From my take, you can get greater power and less parasitic loss without worrying about turbo lag because the sled needs to reach 2500-4000 rpms before the clutch engages anyway. So, at full throttle from a dead stop, you are more than likely at or near full boost anyway.

      @@Drew-in-NoDak No "well clutched" n/a 850 will outperform a 9r without significant additional mods...and even then it won't. Having both in my garage, the 9r is an entirely different animal than a n/a 850...incomparable. Your two hours is showing.
      As far as your holdover comment, there are so many '24 hold-overs due to the prior covid-related shipping problems solved in combination with increased production....and most people questioned Polaris' (and Skidoo's) ability to get sleds to the buyers. After all, no one wanted to get their"new" sleds in February.

    I disagree with his statement that naturally aspirated gets the air in faster. A turbo literally forces it in so how could a naturally aspirate be faster? The engine sucking it in naturally versus being forced into the engine. The logic doesn't make sense. It's all up to the engineers do you want throttle response or big power.

    Maybe Polaris should stop focusing on winning races, and start winning and reliability, and taking care of their customers. Polaris knows how to make a real good operating machine in all of their departments. Now figure out how to build a machine that can be at least as reliable as Honda and Yamaha. Polaris needs to have a better team that investigates these machines better, instead of selling them to the public and letting the public be the dumb guinea pigs.
