Crazy how one track can completely capture not only the vibe of the game's situation and storyline, but the entire series up to that point. I miss Mortal Kombat sounding and feeling like this!
@@CJTranceAddiction To me the soundtracks in the new MK games (except MK9) sound like traditional Asian instruments meets star wars... It's Mortal Kombat for god's sake!
Reminiscing these old DA soundtracks ! And MK 1 n TRILOGY themes is what I loved back in the day! The twisted dark themes etc. Is another reason I fell in love with the old games !. Plus also vibe to it lo
They should have brought this theme back in _Deception_ like they did with Quan Chi’s Fortress. *EDIT (9/6/2024):* This is also Goro, Kintaro, and Sheeva's arena/theme, but since they're not playable in this game, I could see this belonging to Kitana instead, seeing this is where Goro's funeral took place, the fact that Kitana attended this funeral, and that this funeral is also where she took a moment of silence for Liu Kang as well.
Goro and i would be best friends and likely fight as a show of mutual respect and power as we are both straight to the point cunning leaders who dont take anyones crap.
The throne room is decorated with the tall pillars called the Pillars of Ancient Heroes that is decorated and attached with statue heads of ancient great rulers of the Shokan race. Prince Goro ruled here as one of the most feared half-human, half-dragon Shokan warriors. After his apparent death, an elaborate funeral procession led his casket to the Circle of Judgement, a circular molten rock contained within the throne room itself. Statues of his ancestors looked on while the casket was lowered into the eternal river of lava. Kitana, representing the Royal Family of Edenia, attended and bid farewell to her old friend. Unbeknownst to Kitana, however, it was not Goro inside the casket but a disfigured Shokan warrior Goro had placed his royal seal upon to fool people into thinking he had died in battle. He had actually been saved from death by Shao Kahn himself after being left for dead from a sneak attack by Noob Saibot. With its return in Mortal Kombat: Deception, the arena came complete with a death trap that left victims burning alive in the molten lava surrounding the platform.
I'll admit I think MK11 improved over MKX's soundtrack and contains SOME memorable tracks. However, going in the future, Netherrealm should look back at the Soundtracks of the 3D era, particularly this game and Deception.
Black Dragon Fight Club and D'Vorah's stage are some honorable mentions from MK11. The only good stage track from MKX imo was the first round of the Outworld Market.
@@TheUltimateBastich Well, he no longer does the music that's for sure. Music in MK9-MK11 sucks. It doesn't even sound or feel like MK. Still love the games though.
Garry San forden hasn’t lost his touch. the higher-ups/devs just didn’t put him in the position he used to be in as the primary soundtrack composer, sadly. he still contributes to audio direction but not the soundtrack as much. on mk11 he only has composition credits on one song. mk just doesn’t sound as good without him. 😭
As much as I love the newer Mortal Kombat games, the soundtracks are nowhere near as good or impactful as the older games and the same could be said for the announcer. I actually think its a wasted opportunity that NRS haven't tried to include a custom soundtrack option like Tekken Tag Tournament 2 and Tekken 7 has. Not saying the newer MK games don't have a few good tracks cause they certainly do but the 90s and early 2000's is where the soundtracks were at their best.
In the 3d era there always such high stakes in the story like lui land the main hero dies and all these other people die and then the only one alive is raiden in the end then all of them die and there is thanos dragon takes over everything all cause of some dumb kid decided to trust a orange orb then you got armogedon where everyone turns crazy for power and who ever defeats blaze determines the fate of the world
This is the kind of music the new MK games are lacking. Hearing this alone gives off a dark and evil vibe. Brilliant!!
Agreed
Yep, this is the game where the villains win

One of the best things Deadly Alliance has and one of the best tracks the entire saga has.
Thanks to Dan Forden. He was the best! Man I wish MKX and now MK11 had this style of music. The new games sound like an epic spiderman movie.

They need to bring back this style of music. The dark synth style fits the MK universe.

I'm listening to this almost everyday and man, that intro is one of the better things I've ever heard.

This could probably fit with the Rush 2 soundtrack.

gorgeous,,,, KITANA´S TV ROOM
As good as Goro’s Lair Theme
What are the kuatan? Because there is a kuatan jungle now so What does that mean
Kuatan is a subterran city of Shokans (Goro, Kintaro, Sheeva). That what's written at least, cuz it makes no sense regarding jungle.
They are a type of Shokan. Goro an Sheeva have cheetah spots while Kintaro has tiger stripes. There are different races of Shokan
Goro is spotless. Always has been.
