I actually bought something that was supposedly going to allow me to play against others online. Don’t remember exactly if it was a network adapter or a Ethernet cable but it was for that purpose.
I never got around to trying it out.
@@locomojoboy2 the only ps2 game I played online was Need For Speed Underground 2. The technology at the time was so laggy and buggy. It wasn’t really worth it. Xbox Live had ps2 beat at one point.

@@OceansBane Only game I played online was Socom, the single player on the ps2 socom gamers are super slept on, they're fun as fuck.
Deception was my entry into the MK series. Been a fan ever since. Also worth mentioning, I love Konquest in this game. Great world-building stuff! Spent hours just exploring and figuring out secrets.

MK Deception was the 1st MK i ever played. Man playing it on xbox was so fun. no cheats, no hacks, no nothing, pure fighting and gameplay. It also had the noob saibot tandem where their skin was so fire! damn, i wish i could play this again for the 1st time.

I remember the amount of switch stance combos is totally insane but very satisfying to pull off. Hara kiri and deathtraps is also funny af.
So many features that need to make a comeback. Modern Warfare and GTA have such large file sizes, I'd take a massive content filled MK any day.

I remember playing this as a kid so much. I've always wanted to see what the characters were I only ever got Raiden, Kenshi, Jade, Sindel, Noob and Smoke, Kira, and Shujinko. I never unlocked zombie Liu cuz I never knew how to. Still this brings so many fun memories back 😆

I like how Onaga was so powerful as a boss that u had to weaken him with the different kamidogu in order to beat him. He definitely needs to be the boss in MK1. We've seen every other boss return and even a new one(Kronika) so yea it's definitely his time. So many clues point to him from what we've seen so far with MK1.
Dude do you remember Moloch!? He and Onaga were two of the hardest bosses for me in my MK career. Always had to have my dad or cousin beat him 😂

They even have Reptile in his most bulky form in MK1 which they could use to turn him into Onaga again

Yall i would just like to say that playing this game has made me love the mortal kombat series so so much. I was born 2 yrs after it came out and im so greatful and so blessed that i was able to enjoy such a well made fighting game. I hope MK1 has somethings similar to what has happened in this game or atleast most of the characters from it that didnt make it into the future games😁😁

I’m 22 years old . And no joke this game is my childhood . This game was the first mortal kombat I spent everyday after elementary school playing konquest , spending my whole night trying to figure out how to unlock each character, going to school in 4th grade looking up how to unlock Liu Kang and writing it on a piece of paper to take home . Idc what anyone ever says . But legitimately deception needs to be remade , remastered or at the very least backwards compatible, because to this day this is my favorite mortal kombat and nothing comes to close to watching that intro and then hearing that menu music . Let’s not forget about the amazing theme music for the levels , and ONAGA????? Like the best villain/ boss in mk history ? Along with a million other amazing things ? No other mk will ever be close to what deception

man something about the sound design. the DING when you or your enemy are close to losing, the ANNOUNCERS VOICE, the music, the punches and kicks sounding beefy as FUCK, like it sounds like these guys are hitting each other with every bit of strength they have, the sound of scorpions spear. its so good. also def the best "get up" animation scorpions ever had in a game, using the spear to pick himself up for the next round is so fire

I tried this game firstly when I was 6,and until I was 10 I always played it with my father,eventually I got the PS4 and bought Mortal Kombat X,but this game still brings me beautiful memories.
Man, this was the first MK I ever played. I remember sneaking into the living room late at night when my parents were playing and they let me watch and they kept getting their asses kicked by the dragon. I asked to play and beat him my first try, I was probably 5. Oh wow good times, that won't happen again😂
Proud to own MK2,3,Trilogy,Deadly Alliance & Deception as well as 9,x 11, and 1.
I am praying the one day we get a definitive MK9 experience for ps4 & 5. Which would include MK1-UMK3.

We need this game and Armaggedon remastered for PS5 I don’t understand what is taking them so long to do so. If 1 doesn’t work out like they want then give us these 2 and then they will relize this is how mortal Kombat is suppose to work. They gave us 2 different konquest modes and we loved both of them so the next MK2 needs to have one also how long are we going to have to wait for a true MK collection since it’s now 30 years old.

one of my favorite mk games when i got my ps2 back in 2021 i had to get this game i got deception and deadly alliance but sadly deadly alliance doesnt want to work which sucks but at least i get to play this awesome game one of the top tier mk games forsure

Was a good game, and loved the fully 3D Arena, but they screwed up on the controls sadly, and never allowed full 3D movement again after that.
