Such a bad ass. Darth Maul should have survived The Phantom Menace, been the one to fight Anakin and Obi-Wan at the end of Attack Of The Clones and finally died from Obi-Wan instead of General Grevious in Revenge Of The Sith.
I hope JJ came up with a reason to put Ray Park back in Star Wars for episode 7. Star Wars needs more Ray Park. He was one of the few good parts of episode 1.
A dude recreated the prequels completely by putting it in Japanese, editing out the daft bits into a 3 hour movie where Maul survived, but was so horribly damaged that he was turned into General Grievous. It added depth to the fight between him and Obi-Wan in Ep. 3. It's called the Blackened Mantle.
I met Ray Park at Phoenix Comicon. He is pretty cool. He's had a lot of roles in movies that I liked and 1 day I hope to make my break into Hollywood for some acting or stunt work. So perhaps we can meet again.
For those of you wondering, as I was surprised when I noticed the hilt designs, the sabers they are using are actually all Ultrasabers! :D Which makes me really happy that I've purchased from them now :3 The two silver ones are more basic ones, but the Red bladed one is actually an Archon if I remember correctly. Anyways, yeah, they're great at making duel-grade, professional sabers. I'd recommend checking them out, cuz if Ray Park (Darth Maul) Uses them, then I'm DEFINITELY using them!
+awrf87 it's spelt differently in various countries. In Australia we based it on the fact that most other elements had "ium" at the end. While Americans based it on the fact most elements had four or less syllables.
If I were to do a kata using my lightsabre, my favorite routine would be this... 1. Lightsabre on R holster, brandish out the sabre and turn the light on and raise it to a 45 degree angle upward to R, and go to slight horseback stance. 2. Downward slash to L followed by horizontal slash to R using RH. 3. Push out sabre horiziontally at chest level with both hands. 4. Switching hands to L, bring RF forward to forward stance and then do this combo with L hand - inside-outside slash, down-block, and forward thrust. 5. Go back on LF and then on RF in fighting stance for diagonal slash NW to SE.on LH. 6. Go back on RF and then on LF in fighting stance for diagonal slash NE to SW on LH. 7. Go forward on LF in forward stance for low sweep outside-inside also with LH. 8. Switching with both hands, raise sabre up high and then do a straight down-kill (imaging that the opponent is swept down to the ground on step 7), aka coup de grace stroke. 9. Switch back to weight on RF in place still in fighting stance and raise sabre to 45 degree angle changing hands to RF, in zanshin position. (Zanshin is that you are still aware even after the opponent is down, expecting that the opponent can fight back with you with the sabre at any time.....and you are ready to counterattack again with your sabre.)
Kiljoy Rays seems like a fun guy. Just when you think you've grown out of that sort of thing suddenly you find yourself thinking 'Damn, if only he was teaching choreographed fights locally... I'd rather do that than learn proper self defence...' 1 second ago•0
All imma say is as someone who does fencing as a hobby there's no spinny blade move, as you'll get stabbed whilst trying to look cool. Unless it's a sabre thing, which it could be, sabres like pirate fencing
Darragh Tate Well yeah, but he said I think they call this a 5 in fencing, and it doesn't even exist as a used move, I was just, you know, pointing out he was wrong.
I'm going to assume you practice modern foil fencing, but in more historical types of fencing (broadswords, spears, long swords, ect) this is kinda like a "flourish." Before the fight (or between action) you can twirl you weapon like that to show that you are trained with said weapon and intimidate your opponent.Keeping the blade moving will disguise when you mean to attack. But mostly, it's for show.
harryweisner99x he was talking about the different parries. the numbers are mostly used for practice sake, like if an instructor tells you to practice your parries, then you'll have someone come at you in a way that you can block them in the five positions. And he was right when he said five was over the top. It might just be more a a sabre thing, we mostly use three, four and five cause our target area is only the upper body.
Ray seems like the coolest guy ever
He is.
If it makes him better. He played snake eyes in the g.i joe movies
cakewalk ed this aged like milk
His performance as Maul was amazing.
Ray seems really cool. He definitely looks like he enjoys teaching others his passion.
Ray Park is awesome with the fans. I don't think there's a Star Wars fan that wouldn't want a lightsaber lesson from Darth Maul.
I met Ray briefly once, he's a hell of a nice guy. I think we talked about surfing more then star wars.
Such a bad ass. Darth Maul should have survived The Phantom Menace, been the one to fight Anakin and Obi-Wan at the end of Attack Of The Clones and finally died from Obi-Wan instead of General Grevious in Revenge Of The Sith.
I only consider what happens in the films canon so yes, to me he died in The Phantom Menace.
Cameron Babb That's a mistake ;). The Clone Wars is really awesome.
Cameron Babb Does not matter what you consider the clone wars is canon.
Cameron Babb Well we cant be shore that he died even if you dont consider the cartoon
***** really awesome.
Ray Park is the coolest guy without a doubt. Great how he spends time and shows how to do Jedi moves. Awesome.
I hope JJ came up with a reason to put Ray Park back in Star Wars for episode 7. Star Wars needs more Ray Park. He was one of the few good parts of episode 1.
there was a theory he was kylo ren, but that was shot down
He was acting as dart maul?
yeah there was a theory kylo was maul
exactly
Murkaeus he could even play a different character since he was covered in the makeup
That little kid saved those two guys from getting their asses whooped by Ray
"I'm just a nerdy, awkward, white guy. I'm closer to Jar Jar Binks, than a Jedi." LOL
Bring back Ray for a 1 shot movie about maul before episode 1
I really wish man...

Ray Park is such a cool guy! I need to practice my lightsaber skills!
Darth Maul/Snake Eyes/Toad guy is awesome!
I freaking love Ray Park.
that kid at the end was such a lad...
That was awesome!!! Thanks Ray! Great simple yet effective tutorial I can show my daughter for her Ahsoka Tano moves!!!
We seriously need a Darth Maul movie, with Ray Park, and using his own damn voice please.
I wanna learn how to get cut in half.
Ask darth maul.
and survive
This is magical!!!
The guy in the middle said he's more of Jar Jar than a Jedi! Those two are sith & Jedi, respectively
The Darth Maul kid was one of the younglings who Anakin tried to kill, but he turned to the dark side instead.
My god, it's been 20 years since "The Phantom Menace" was released!
I feel like Ray is an awesome guy to hangout with at a bar talk about his martial arts days or his star wars training any one else think so?
Ray Park is the man!
This guy mastered the Obi Ani spins in a few seconds. I am impressed
They cloned Maul, now Ray has a mini-me clone!
i love his role in the show Heroes.
I would like a training with Ray Park !!!!! He's really cool !
hey where can I buy one of those lightsabers????????
Ya those are cool
Ernie Vc The two greens look to be from Ultrasabers, not sure about the red.
thanks!
Saberforge
great thanks!
The Force is strong this year!! #TheForceAwakens
Maul, Toad, and Snake Eyes Ray Parks makes them all bad assed.
Guy lost his Darth Maul six pack
Love the video & Ray just awesome 👍
Good energy + positive vibes

what a legend
that was great, how can people not like it?

This guy is a genius.
Ray Park is so cool.
yeah you yanks its pronounced aluminium not alooominum

hahahahahahahahahahaha
@@springthyme501 its spelt the same in all forms of English, Americans just say it another way(I dunno why)
It'd be awesome to see Ewan mcgregor and Ray park at it again
They need to make a movie about Darth Maul

He needs to be in the next Star Wars movie!!
He is darth maul
Is the red save from Ultrasabers? That color is amazing
9:51 That is Darth Maul's face right there.
They should at least have this guy choreographing Ep.7
We got almost one season of Darth Maul alone in Clone Wars...until he got rekt by Palpatine
Ray Park seems to be a really nice guy ....
When I get older I'm planing of making a real light saber it's going to take awhile but idc its my life long dream
The only reason I ever stick The Phantom Menace on to watch is for either A. DarthMaul epic lightsaber battles. Or B. Pod racing. That's it.
Really wish i could meet him
I want one of those light sabers
gosh a darth maul movie would be amazing ray park said he would kill himself getting into shape just to do it
i always wonder where to get those type of lightsabers ??
Haha that was so cool. I almost started clapping at the end
I did clap lol
They borrowed our lightsabers for this. The red one is my Ultrasabers Archon..!!!
Robb - Saber Guild Global Director
Where can I buy this I want it
but why didnt they set up ray with a headset instead of kicking that cord aside constantly?
That's not Ray Park's voice according to my research and he's just a stunt choreographer.
1:06 Raseisum at its greatest
Lightsaber guy will make good use of this...
COOOOOOOL
Disen guy not eben close to mesa. Hesa bein closa to a jedi dan mesa... Hesa not eben be knowin da powa mesa hab!
Darth Maul was the only good thing about Phantom Menace.
Who still comes back to this in 2020 ?
Kiljoy
Rays seems like a fun guy. Just when you think you've grown out of that sort of thing suddenly you find yourself thinking 'Damn, if only he was teaching choreographed fights locally... I'd rather do that than learn proper self defence...'

where you are bought lightsaber ? :D
fun game drink everytime he says thats nice
you broke it already because its an ultrasaber.
I want the Luke vs Vader shirt!!
Times when I wish that Ray Park will do like a real lightsaber fights. Like doing a fast pace lightsaber fight, rather than doing it really slow.
Darth Maul STANDALONE MOVIE NOW!
Are they the force fx sabers
+canadianwarrior95 Looks like Ray is using the Aeon from Ultra Sabers
Nope force fx lightsabers are much brighter and dont look as platicky
Forcefx sabers are actually much less bright than say Ultrasabers (what they are using here). I think it's just the lighting draining the color out.
someone tell me where can I learn this kind of sword fight? I really want. serious
I'd like to learn it too! I think you first need to take fencing classes as a base and find someone else who can teach you with lightsabers
i've tried fencing... but that's not even close to this unfortunately.
What you guys want to look up is Wushu, a competitative showfighting martial arts from China. Ray is pretty adept in that stuff.
What lightsabers are those?
Ray park should play a sith in episode 8 in one way
The nerdgasim is real
what sabers where they using
search ultrasabers
darth maul standalone movie please 😢
I Have To Learn This...
Hayden lives....
I wanna go there but i don't have a lot of money :'(
Darth Maul should have survived and make him appear in episode 2 and fight anakin in the end and let him be killed by obi in episode 3
That is the stupidest thing I've ever seen
What do you mean stupid I knew je wad alive in the clone wars.
This is so stupid, it would and could never happen.
Oh I understand I feel its a little stupid what's going on with me.
faith freeman
Never trust Skinny Jeans.
What if I'm having opened my new kendo school but jedi or sith attire and lightsaber will replace also.
All imma say is as someone who does fencing as a hobby there's no spinny blade move, as you'll get stabbed whilst trying to look cool. Unless it's a sabre thing, which it could be, sabres like pirate fencing
harryweisner99x Of course there's not, this is designed for maximum coolness of appearance, not practicality.
Darragh Tate Well yeah, but he said I think they call this a 5 in fencing, and it doesn't even exist as a used move, I was just, you know, pointing out he was wrong.

Sounds bout right
harryweisner99x he was talking about the different parries. the numbers are mostly used for practice sake, like if an instructor tells you to practice your parries, then you'll have someone come at you in a way that you can block them in the five positions. And he was right when he said five was over the top. It might just be more a a sabre thing, we mostly use three, four and five cause our target area is only the upper body.
Ray is hot af..
How hot is "af"?
Still doesn't make any sense. Haha.
5 people dont have arms
I know lots of moves
Who else tried this like I didn't?
I DON'T EVEN KNOW HOW TO FLIP THE DANG THING
If its rey training then just do some spins and think you know everything
I wonder if Ray Park found these guys as annoying as I do.
Probably
SO unfair been banned by Disney...
this is so awkward
Man watching these guys giggle constantly is pretty annoying
