  • Separation-related behaviours in dogs can be particularly apparent while in care or in a newly adoptive home. For various reasons the dog may become extra clingy and find it difficult to be away from the adopters.
While the figures vary depending on the research, it is believed separation-related behaviours can occur anywhere in between 20 to 50% of dogs and it is important to note that not all of these behaviours are classified as separation anxiety.
This webinar will cover separation-related behaviours, what they look like and how to deal with them and, importantly, how to prevent them from appearing in the first place with newly adopted dogs. If the dog guardian can set off on the correct path right from start, it is much less likely to become an issue as the dog settles into their new home.
We will also cover what to look out for, the importance of context, how to start tackling it if it is already established and preventative measures to stop it occurring in the first place. There will be an interactive Q&A at the end of the presentation for audience members to have their questions answered.
