I know that this is just a "stress test", but in order to achieve the most fluid experience, would it not be better to go with full maxed out graphics like you have and v-sync the sim to a ultra rock solid 30fps? Maybe you could even supersamle the sim to higher resolution.
Hi Ravasssz, yes, lots of users do run with locked 30 FPS and report great results. I have tried it, but I miss the increased feeling of speed you get when targeting a higher framerate. If you are flying up in the clouds in the big commercial jets, I would think locked 30 FPS would be great, but I do most of my stuff low down, and I like the feeling of things zipping past the window!
@@lowflyingobjects Yeah you are right. It also depends on what way you flying. I like IFR, especially in IMC, so fps does not really metter for me, but I can totaly understand that you need a higher fps when you are "low flying - no talking" 😁👍 I've been going back and forth between 4k@30 and 1440p@60. It is hard to decide. Most importantly and fortunetaly, the performance is getting better end better, update by update. I'm uttetly curious about the full release of WU10, how the DLSS will improve and preform once the current build is going out of beta
@@Ravasssz I'm honestly really excited to see what the next few months will bring, at last we are going to start seeing the very best visuals squeezed out of MSFS 2020, and even people with modest hardware are going to have the sim looking nicer than it ever has before on their systems. Also remember that the update will likely have new drivers released for it by the GPU manufacturers, so there's a good chance of even more sweet FPS gains!!
I think it can work with 1080p, upscaling from 540p/720p to 1080p. It's just that you're less likely to be struggling for frame rate when you're rendering at 1080p, as most modern cards have got that licked. But if you need more FPS at 1080p then give it a whirl, it should give you more FPS.
Just because you have a 1080p monitor doesn't mean you can't supersample it higher, that works with DLSS as well, you might get sharper visuals as well as smoother performance.

@@lowflyingobjects I'm so f-ing exited!!!
this doesn’t work at 1080p right? Only at 1440p and higher? Just wanted to know because my monitor is 1080p

@@lowflyingobjects thx for the info!

It works at 1080p. I can't check on my game right now, but the "Quality" setting is lower than 1080p, and it goes smaller from there
