how on earth do you get this joystick to work in the game. As soon as I take off, I just roll over and nose dive. Rudder responds well but not pitch or roll...

I use exactly the same mods, but i cant extinguish the fires, the just keep on even after 10 drops, mine must be bugged

What is the jet used in this video ?

Does FF not work automatically on MSFS? What about the latest version? Also does this work for Mechwarrior 5? I read that people use to play MW 3 and 4 with FF with these joysticks.

I’ve set this up for my system. On the ground the force feedback is amazing. Also when deploying wheels, flaps or air brake you really feel it. But I don’t feel much when in a stall or when I’m doing high angle turns… I was expecting to feel something significant. Have I set this up correctly?

Those are some pretty "rough" voices. Sounds like pieced together clips. Wish you had gone into more spotting of seeing more landing traffic. "Straight on hold", what does that even mean. Needs a lot of work.

Not sure how well this shows up on video, but this was a real fight. The force required to right the plane back out of the roll is significant. Plus the stick kicks quite firmly when you hit turbulence. You can see the stick shake best on take-off but it kicks you like that quite often. UK Northern Cities Fast Jet Tour - Manchester, Liverpool, Blackpool, Bradford and Leeds - MSFS 2020. Pretty ropey landing at the end but nobody got hurt!

Superb job by DRZEWIECKI DESIGN - great detail and sound in all areas. Hangars are also highly detailed. In a final bit of good luck, I also bumped in to English Singer-Songwriter, James Blunt, as he was waiting very quietly for his flight.

A 'big airport' newb picks his way through KLAX at rush hour with help from PF3 ATC. This is the latest version (14/03/2023 patch)of FS Traffic and the latest version of PF3. I really liked how PF3 'talks' to the traffic that FS Traffic has injected and how you can watch planes land then hear them talk to the tower as they taxi off. I'm no expert on airports or ATC, but it certainly felt immersive and fun.

Now 28 years later, with law and order having broken down in most of the rest of the country, groups of enterprising and motivated treasure hunters have begun scouting the deserted and devastated city, knowing that if they can avoid disease, wild animals and bandits, the wealth of the city and its stockpiles of gold, precious stones, art and technology are ripe for the picking. Just my little joke! But this is what I'm thinking, every time I see the dire state of London in MSFS 2020! But I guess we should always remember that it's incredible we can do this at all. This would make a cracking video game I reckon. Imagine being able to land your chopper any where in the city and then go looking for loot with your 4 man team. All the while knowing that hundreds of other players are doing exactly the same thing and that a violent confrontation is never very far away!

Very underrated operation. So many historians focus on the fighting in Stalingrad, but not many mention how dangerous it was , as a pilot, to undertake these re-supply and later evacuation missions.

Gotta petition microsoft to release an update specifically for the Tepuis. I can't wait until I have a chance to see them in real life.

Taking off from Le Havre, and then flying past all the D-Day beaches from East to West. I fly past Sword, Juno, Gold and Omaha, with Utah visible to the North-West, as I turn South-West to pass over the Carentan Estuary and Carentan itself before making my landing at Lessay (LFOM). The default scenery provided for this area by Asobo is dreadful! Come on Asobo, this is the most historically important few miles of coastline on the planet!! Do service to the memories of the men who fought so bravely here, and give this entire area the treatment it deserves! So I decided to fly from nearby Morozovsk Airbase which was also a location used by the airlift. Morozovskaya was mainly used by the He 111 bombers, which were converted to transport planes. My original plan was to fly into Pitomnik, but that airfield is now farmland. The airfield at Pitomnik was one of seven airfields within the Stalingrad Pocket after the 6th Army was encircled, and the only one properly equipped to handle large amounts of air traffic. The field was equipped with lights for night operation. From 15 January, Pitomnik came under artillery fire from the Red Army, and two days later, the airfield was captured, leaving the 6th Army with Gumrak as its only supply airfield. Gumrak is now known as Volgograd International Airport, so that made a very logical 'Second Choice' destination. The Junker Ju 52 is a great experience, and it's available on the marketplace as part of the 'Local Legends' series. It's also usually very keenly priced, so a great bargain for history fans! I, like all sane people, unreservedly condemn the actions of the Nazis during this period of history, and I would never create anything that was intended to glorify, support, or promote their sick and deluded beliefs. I searched long and hard for some authentic German language radio chatter from this period, but my search was pretty fruitless. It seems very little has survived, and that is understandable, as I'm sure anyone involved in this conflict, had no interest in preserving anything stained by the evils of Nazism. I was however able to source a German radio play from 1945, and it seemed appropriate to the roleplay, that the pilots may have broken their own strict regulations, and had a small civilian radio in the cockpit to allow them to listen to radio programmes to raise their spirits, in what was a desperate, and irredeemable situation.

A short glider tour around the Western edge of Auyan Tepuy in Venezuela. This video features the new South America mesh from Orbx:- orbxdirect.com/product/sa-mesh-msfs which offers some distinct advantages over the default MSFS 2020 mesh. First and foremost, is that the Orbx mesh eliminates LOD morphing, which is a real problem with the default mountains and cliffs in MSFS 2020. I hate flying towards a cliff or mountain in the default sim, and seeing all the LODs changing in front of you like melting plasticine. The Orbx mesh also offers higher definition, which means cliffs and peaks are sharper and more defined than in the default sim. It's quite a subtle thing, so don't expect miracles, but I'd say it's definitely worth it when the relatively low price is considered. But don't expect to see great results 'up close', there is no modelling of the beautiful waterfalls that come off the faces of these tepuis, and the cliff and rock textures are not very convincing if you're right next to them, but that's not on Orbx, they have provided an enhanced mesh, but the textures come from directly from the default game. If you do want to see how good rocks and cliffs can look when the textures are worked on, have a look at my Red Rocks Sedona video. Overall, I'd say very well done to Orbx for a worthwhile and cost effective add-on, but I'd love to see some new textures too! Low and fast over the beautiful Kent countryside in the venerable Spitfire, on a gorgeous English Summer's day. We roar across the landscape from Battle of Britain base Biggin Hill, to the White Cliffs of Dover, via Canterbury and Folkestone. I flew the route without preparation, and I expected to find an asphalt runway at Chalksole Green Airstrip. But on arrival, I'm puzzled to find only fields, in historically accurate fashion, I land the old girl on the grass! I chose to mostly ignore the electricity pylons, they would not have been there in the 1940's, so really low flying was certainly possible, but maybe not encouraged!
