Donna was massive for me when I was a young gay kid. I loved her voice and material. All these years later her voice and it’s greatness are finally getting the recognition it deserves. I had always loved Donna Summer’s music but had never seen a concert. Wow! She is as fantastic in concert as she is as a recording artist. Spectacular! And such a fine band and backup vocals. She really makes THEM work hard for the money! Such a high energy performance by all. She and all the vocalists have such strong voices to endure such a non-stop concert, where every song is demanding. All are top notch professionals, and Donna is at the peak of her game here. the article in the paper about her new album in late 1987 sounded like a last roll of the dice and donna was talking about faith in god for the album to do well as if she knew it was not going to be a smash success. this album needed powerful dance hit like her 1989 album did and she would have left the others in the dust. i love this music now but it was not powerful enough in late 1987.

this album would have been good for 1991 or 1993 not 1987. the music is good but 1987 was when rock and alternative music was at its peak and there was too much competition for this music which is good adult contemporary music.

i love the song now but in late 1987 it was not good enough and needed to be a dance tune like bananarama or taylor dayne.
