Donna is at her vocal peak here! She really can do what she wants with such a fabulous intrument! And her variations in "Last Dance" are incredible! So powerful and amazing. And her beautiful eyes ... RIP.

This is such an amazing performance and rare." Mistaken Identity" captured Donna at her best VOCAL orowness. Though lesser known the Album[ Mistaken Identity] is one of her best.
@@bigolebot I felt that when it was released ,but I was premature dear friend. Her voice is amazing on it and very "Soulful" ( Which to me was an important and overlooked element of Donna's early Church roots ) Listen again in 2020/2021 and see if you can relate. If not, we are still both Donna's Fans and can agree to disagree( smile).Enjoy the near year.
mistaken identify never got a shot. I hear when love cries one time on the radio and that was hit. not the best song to lead off and so many good ones on that CD

I decided to purchase this track after getting the Donna Summer collection back in college. Our family loved her stuff.
This is a really good RnB track. it does sound a little dated,
but it has a great message and reminded me of Janet's Rhythm Nation. Once you get used to it!
Never knew this existed ,what a pleasent surprise. I saw donna live at the radio city music hall ,around 2000,when she opened her mouth to sing her voice stunned me ,she had a full orchestra with her but her voice just overtook everything, i feel so blessed to have witnessed donnas magic ❤

this concert was original part of american music awards concert series 1991 which held in yokoham japan, donna was one of headliners along whitney houston, kenny rogers, bobby brown, cyndi lauper, gloria estafan and steve winwood for the concert series in japan.

Creo que en éste concierto desperdicio casi todo el tiempo , porque teniendo tantas canciones muy buenas con las que inició, eligió para éste concierto puras canciones muy comerciales y sin gracia como las de antaño. Claro Donna es Donna, pero esas canciones son de cuando ya había pasado su mejor época. Como sea, nuestra diosa disco q.e.p.d

I wasn't impressed by the Mistaken Identity album - firstly as it had the same title as Kim Carnes' huge hit album containing Bette Davis Eyes a decade prior. The tempos of the disco songs here are too fast - just like her 1978/79 concert footage.
