Performing live like this requires a special talent and she has that. Donna Summer was at a level that only a few singers can or could reach. Such a strong voice. Even 15 years after seeing it still impresses me. It is just getting better.

Totally Incredible performance!! I grew up listening to the Beetles then got into Rock and Prog-Rock, but the likes of Motown, Northern Soul, and Disco have been just as much part of my life too! As someone living most of my life in North East England it is great to see John Miles featured as a full part of this Prom. Jimmy Webb's MacArthur Park is one of Pop's greatest songs, but Donna, here takes the song to a whole different level. It is easy to say there will only ever be one Donna Summer, but I still love her music now: thanks you Donna for what you gave the World of music, your music will live on forever. Lastly, it is of great joy and admiration that the Prom's Finale is the Jon Anderson song State of Independence - as part of YES, Jon has proven over many decades to be one of Prog-Rock's best song writers and greatest singers, again, Donna here takes that song to a whole different stratosphere. I am moved to tears here listening to this - simply incredible performance !!! Thank you again Donna, John and Jon !!!

Huge orchestra, massive choir, and Donna’s voice loud & clear above it all. Donna had hits all through the mid to late 70’s but she owned 1979, her biggest year on the charts. Heaven Knows, Hot Stuff, Bad Girls, Dim All The Lights, & No More Tears (Enough Is Enough) all huge hits. Then in ‘80 she had two more hits: On The Radio & The Wanderer. And there were more to come throughout the ‘80’s.

This song lasts forever. I grew up in the 70's, low/middle/high. Every party I attended, I always asked the DJ to play this song to keep the party longer. The song is on an LP so the DJ can play backward/forward. It is amazing. I only regret that I never had a chance to go to her concert. RIP, Donna.
