False Alarm at Danbury High School

just a normal 1st period Monday morning at Danbury High School when the fire alarm goes off for no reason that are more louder that i wonder if my cameras microphone isn't damaged from the loudness of that fire alarm

Some camera microphones (particularly the really cheaper ones) can be damaged easily by loud sounds as they're not built right to the sound and distort easily as yiu shouldn't use these cameras when recording videos of fire alarms or other things that are loud

The school district replaced the Simplex horns at the Danbury High School because they were installed with a very old fire alarm system that kept malfunctioning

Sounds like the school I went to for kindergarten. Their old Simplex system with 4051+4050-80 horn/lights was failing early last year, so they replaced it with a cheaper Fire-Lite system with boring SpectrAlert Advance horn/strobes, like your school.

@@DylanDetzer so they replaced the old horns with spectalert advances. There goes another cool system like my dad’s school which had 4903-9221s (white 9219s). Unlike this school which went with white devices my dad’s school went with red advances instead of white. Advances ticks me off a lot *especially* when if they replace old devices.

Fuck those horn which don’t have low frequency I rather go for speaker strobe with voice evac or just go for low frequency or chime alarms instead.

Ok, come to my school. Mine scares me. It has a man voise evac and its on the ceiling, i sit underneath it, and its a whoop noise too so u will prob hate it after

They were replaced in 2016 because the old simplex system was having issues. And it kept going into alarm at Radom times.

Big deal a false alarm, you act like it the end of the world. As a Fire Alarm Tech all I can say is learn the business before you hurt some one
