- Hello all! In this video we take a quick look at how I organize drill bits in my workshop. It's almost laughably simple but it works very well for me and greatly improves my workflow.

It was me! (also a patreon).
I love this solution, particularly separating the new stock from the in-use stock.
At the moment I have all of mine in the top, shallow drawer of a mechanics rolling tool box under the bench.
Despite lots of magnets, it descended into chaos.
I also detest the folding metal "drill index" tins; roughed up drill bits not fitting aside, I also find that drill bits like to fall behind the index, and then you can't close it as it jams up.
I think that I need a sexy slim chest of drawers or similar like yours next to my drill press.
Thank you Ash.
PS: Do you sharpen your bits at all?
Very well organized.👍
Useing your Head before starting a job, is often half of the work done in advance, as well as often saving time. Something that you are very good at Mr. Ash!
Couldn't agree more! I worked for so long in a disorganised shop and looking back now I don't understand how I managed 🤣
never owned a drill in my life but i found this fascinating.
I find it fascinating that someone has never owned a drill! 😄👍
😳 How have you survived without a drill?! Can't remember a time when I haven't had one.
Nicely organised Ash. Very important 👍 Hope you're good bud. 🙏
I reckon I get more satisfaction out of organising than I do actually fixing something 🤣
good vid nice wor bench thanks lee
Cheers Lee 😊👍
for the other ones you could put a sticker on the "in use" one
Do you mean like stick a bit of tape on the drill bit itself? I've tried that but I found it adds that extra layer of faff that doesn't last long for me 🤣
First class idea it'll save me a lot of Ff sake moments!😂
Ps, I'm 61 now!!😂😂
Hahah it does work really well for me! One less thing to think about
Zen.
