Totally agree. My girl loves everyone, but one day she was let out and a guy brought her back, however, he said she was wonderful loving dog, but when he tried to come in the gate she wouldn't let him in. She knows who lives here - so smart. I caught the same guy opening the gate when he thought we were not home. She knew what he was like. You forgot one point they are your best friend for life.
We rescued our American showline from my over busy family in Los Angeles. She is almost 4 and really never had any training. We're retired and all our dogs have always been well behaved. She is extremely smart and we've only had her since thanksgiving of 2020. She had a horrible mouthing problem and I had more broken skin and bruises than I ever had. But, I would hold her face gently and look into her eyes to let her know she's well loved. She has come such along way. We are going to get some professional training because we want to be able to take her with us on vacation etc. We take her to the dog park and she love love loves the interactive play. She is very hard to control on leash when other dogs are near. I try to always tell her it's ok and try to calm her. She is so powerful. Sorry I rambled on. We are so happy to have her♥️🙏
Had my little Emma a month now. Most accurate one is the energy level. But she's also 3 months old. But it's all good I wanted this type of dog as a friend and work out buddy. And since I've had her I've droped 5 lbs . We go outside alot especially because of house training 😅 that one kind of slow going. But super smart with all her other commands. She's so loveable to everyone and I'm enjoying watching her grow and having our bond strengthen.
hi zak i hope you are all well i think lucy should be the queen of astralia even enter the miss world contest she would get my vote no disrepect to the ladies in that thank you for a great vlog
LOL, " if I had a little Fluffy called Poofy" thanks for the laugh. All great features of German Shepards, they do learn extremely fast, very observant, and are affectionate as a little Fluffy called Poofy.
I love watching your videos with Lucy and just reminiscing on memories with mine! She’s probably the biggest baby and it just makes me wonder why people are afraid without even meeting them. I would have never imagined a German Shepherd to be so protective yet acting like a two year old when she doesn’t get her way. 🤦♀️😂 Biggest troublemaker but I wouldn’t want it any other way with her!
Greman shepherds are the most beautiful and sweet and cute and caring and loving and smart and intelligent and loyal dogs ever and I honestly love them so much
love your vids and love Lucy. I really wanted a shepherd but our building doesnt allow them! crazy right? So my pup is half dane half shepherd and she is amazing but a handful lol. Im having a hard time with the shyness right now, especially at night. She is peeing in the hallway because she is afraid to go to the street, but shes only 3 1/2 months old too.
Hey no we have never done a Schutzhund class. We will go done that road when we get a second gsd one day. We used a military dog trainer that helped me with Lucy.
German shepherds are the most beautiful dog breed for sure. My only complaint is my dog Rosie loves to hog the bed especially when she comes back from doing a pee outside at night and gets back into bed before me and if you tell her to move over, she looks at you with a sad face lol and puts her head from side to side pretending she does not understand me, she is a master manipulator lol. If I go to another room in the house for too long she comes and finds me an will often will curl up on the floor close by me or sit on the couch next to me if I watch TV. We are all going through the covid -19 pandemic which can be traumatic, but having a german shepherd in your life makes it less so, I laugh every day with the antics Rosie gets up to. Right now, Rosie has dug up a rock in the garden again and is parading around the backyard as she carries it in her mouth only to drop it a while later and get annoyed when she struggles to pick it up again to run around the backyard. It amazes me the jaw strength German shepherds have to carry such heavy and big rocks in their mouths. Like Lucy, Rosie loves chicken breast, which I cook for her every night only to be told off by her as I tell her she needs to wait for it to cool before she can eat it. We are about to have a game of chasey as I try and wrangle the big rock from her as I chase her around the backyard and her tail wags frantically at a million miles an hour as she tries to out maneuver me which she loves and creates a strong bond between her and I. But today I out maneuvered her, by knocking on the front door, knowing full well she would drop the rock to come and investigate and give the phantom door knocker a few good barks.
Sounds like my perfect future dog. ❤️ I dream of a trainable hiking buddy who can handle long trails and who'll have my back at home since I am permasingle, who'll snuggle with me at night.
I adopted my 3.5yld Gsd last year. The only frustrate thing is she is very aggressive to strangers, other dogs and cats. She doesn't like cuddles, balls or water. But i still love her as my child.😂
Yep, they know the shoes. My GSD is up the second she sees me grabing trainers for our walks. And if she sees me grab a backpack, she looses it, because she knows we're going for a hike. There's no fooling them 😁.
Hey, quick question, if I make a Go-Fund Me, would you mind promoting it in one of your video's as an after-note or something? Janan had to have emergency surgery yesterday and will be in doggy hospital until Wednesday at least, at the moment I'm waiting on test results to find out if she's got spleen cancer, so she may need another surgery to remove her spleen, it's probably going to be costing me over $10,000 to save Janan (I've paid $3000 of that already, although her bill is already $7,000, but point is I am putting in my own effort here too, I'm trying to do my best for my girl, I miss having a job, bloody brain damage) and I don't have insurance because I lost it due to her pre-existing conditions - she's had HD since 2yo - and claim history (being an AD is not easy) only took one claim and they refused to re-insure her, great .... I'm sorry to ask, but I've done the emotional obstacle course today so I'm willing to go out on a limb and ask for a plug ... I haven't set anything up yet, and I feel bad about crowd funding my dog's medical bills, Juliet and I are bonding over misery of not having Janan here with us (we've had more than a few cuddle times tonight because of the rain and our sad lonely sad sack selves, life doesn't seem complete without Janan at home) - otherwise, I'll just take sympathy ....sorry to ask, you just happen to have a platform that I don't and was hoping to hijack ... I can email you the whole story and pictures of my girls and stuff, but I don't really know how to get a hold of you off of here - I don't have Instagram, no idea how to use it either ... I'm gonna shut up now, this isn't your problem, I just need to cry a bit I think, that dog gave me my life back, being disabled isn't much fun, but Janan made it far better, I owe her a lot more than just good health care, especially as she's only 6, she should have at least that to go, I'm not ready to lose her yet, disability pension doesn't pay well though - I was gonna shut up, I'll do that now ... I enjoyed the video (did you just get a haircut?) and I pretty much agree with everything, and I love that you're giving Lucy such a good life!! Love her hard!
