How reset Microsoft office word 2016 to default setting
go to start type in
Regedit
go to the following folder
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office\16.0\Word]
delete the word folder,
Done!!
or this for word 2013
download.micros...

The issue he shows is fixed best with a double click!.. mouse to the top edge of your document until it says "Double-click to show white space" ...do the same to hide :) But thank you for the reset to default fix too.

I got snookered in to going into the registry and following onscreen instructions on a different problem, had nothing to do with word. So by my adjusting the registry, my computer then refused to restart, so I ended up sending it back to HP Factory to re-install the system. So I am very cautious about tampering with the registry. You just never know. To be forwarded is forearmed ! There must be a way to find out what the original settings were and then make the Original settings like what font, what tab setting, what line spacing etc. and manually setting them from within MS WORD whilst in a new page.
