yup, like Namor, she is an omega level mutant, and she was among the first to be recruited into the X-Men as a child, her psionic powers were shown to be too advanced for her age, so Professor X had to put some mental blocks in place as limiters until Jean was mature enough to control her powers without accidentally doing psychic damage to herself and others
Yay, Jean! Not often a very well understood character by writers and it took time for fans to see her greatness, but when looking into her, there is so much about her that is relatable. Or at least understandable. My favorite character in all of fiction.

I first heard about the story of Jeans friend Annie when I read the opening pages of the novelization of X-men The Last Stand, (I was looking at the look inside feature on Amazon) when I read that and saw that version of the tale it really hurt my soul, I mean, I knew Jean Grey had trauma in her life but I never imagined her backstory was that dark, no kid should have to experience something as traumatic as that.
Great video!! If you are going to do another costume history video like the one for Scarlet Witch, Jean grey would be very cool to see. She’s got so many iconic looks from her first appearance, to the phoenix looks to her animated tv show costume.

I love Jean and White Queen but nobody in the X-Men gets me as hyped up as Storm does ! If she goes nuts, i can't imagine what a threat she can be, Thor and Zeus only control Thunder ⚡, she manipulates all the weather !!!! She can turn into her opponents molecules and superfreeze them and then bring in solar storms and burn everything, She can sink all of Atlantis and rip apart Namor and his gills by playing with the molecules of water in them and then dry the entire city of Atlantis. That's why they didn't get her in the New Black Panther Movie, because, she is the wife of Blank Panther, the Queen of Wakanda, not just that she was worshipped as a Goddess and has magical powers as she descends from one ancestor of hers who was an ancient one !!
One of my favourite X-men character, along with Cyclops, she has taken such a huge role , even more since she came back she’s a leading force in the team and one of her founding member. If you ever plan to do Cyclops I.d be glad , even though Not much comics fan like him nowadays .
I was waiting for this video A LONG TIME, ironically Jean Grey is one of the characters that still has many holes in what I know of her... I expect this video (still not watched it) complete my knowdlege about her! I have watched many videos, read many articles, and read A LOT of comics about her... but somehow I still find things I didn't know about her. I had that magazine that I bought at grocery store. It had 3 stories about Ice Man , Nightcrawler. and Marvel Girl and it had no color ink. It was 1980 or 81.
It kinda surprises me how Iceman was the only guy with no attraction to Jean Grey, then a century later he’s canonized as gay…I don’t want to think about it as coincidence, but I can’t help it.

Powerful does not mean Mary Sue, she does have flaws and makes mistakes, I mean, the whole Dark Phoenix thing happened (even tho they retconned it later) or what she did to Emma after she found her with Scott was also horrible. Some writers that don't know what to do with her do make her seem like one but, she is a character that is seen like a martyr or a saint by the people around her, when she is not and has a lot of flaws too like a normal human, and has an unachievable unrealistic standard put on her. I really hope they don't make her a Mary Sue on the MCU. Yes, she is confident, outgoing, sassy and fiery but empathetic, caring, kind, sweet and selfless, always putting everyone else first, like other Mary Sue characters but she is not a good person all the time, she sometimes doesn't take good decisions or at times doesn't have the best judgement, and she is shown to be way to driven by emotions, she too has all her trauma and problems with controlling her powers, feeling everyone around her and being afraid of hurting them making her more introverted and drawn to herself sometimes. She doesn't have the best control or skill over her power as Xavier or Emma do, even if she is more powerful than them, they have more skill and knowledge, and I hope they show that and not make her a super powered perfect at everything hero from the start and they show her struggling more at the beginning. She's a good character but writers just sometimes don't know what to do with her and her power
