Jean Grey is a major powerhouse. Even without the Phoenix Force!
yup, like Namor, she is an omega level mutant, and she was among the first to be recruited into the X-Men
as a child, her psionic powers were shown to be too advanced for her age, so Professor X had to put some mental blocks in place as limiters until Jean was mature enough to control her powers without accidentally doing psychic damage to herself and others

Yay, Jean! Not often a very well understood character by writers and it took time for fans to see her greatness, but when looking into her, there is so much about her that is relatable. Or at least understandable. My favorite character in all of fiction.
She's my favourite, I don't understand why so many people hate her and prefer Emma over Jean.

Great video!! If you are going to do another costume history video like the one for Scarlet Witch, Jean grey would be very cool to see. She’s got so many iconic looks from her first appearance, to the phoenix looks to her animated tv show costume.

I first heard about the story of Jeans friend Annie when I read the opening pages of the novelization of X-men The Last Stand, (I was looking at the look inside feature on Amazon) when I read that and saw that version of the tale it really hurt my soul, I mean, I knew Jean Grey had trauma in her life but I never imagined her backstory was that dark, no kid should have to experience something as traumatic as that.

I was waiting for this video A LONG TIME, ironically Jean Grey is one of the characters that still has many holes in what I know of her... I expect this video (still not watched it) complete my knowdlege about her! I have watched many videos, read many articles, and read A LOT of comics about her... but somehow I still find things I didn't know about her. Your videos are usually the most complete, ordered and perfect data source for complete marvel history... I hope you did more than her origin though :)

One of my favourite X-men character, along with Cyclops, she has taken such a huge role , even more since she came back she’s a leading force in the team and one of her founding member. If you ever plan to do Cyclops I.d be glad , even though Not much comics fan like him nowadays .
I find it hilarious when you realize that Adult Jean’s attraction to Logan probably stems from Teen Jean’s attraction to his alternate universe son, Jimmy. 🤣🤣🤣

Jean Grey is my favorite X-Men character; I named my channel after her Phoenix alter ego.I really wish they hadn't reconnected all that Phoenix Force stuff into her backstory: it was so much better when all of that was just the ultimate evolution of her mutant powers instead of a firebird from beyond time that anyone can control. P.S. thank you for not bringing up Xavier's creepy crush on her.

Not gonna lie her costume change through the years went from cheesy and campy into appropriate and badass, Definitely a glow up when I see one.
Yeah, I had to snicker when the panel showing the costumes Jean designed had her in a microskirt...like, c'mon, I could see Scott or Warren designing a microskirt maybe.

If she goes nuts, i can't imagine what a threat she can be, Thor and Zeus only control Thunder ⚡, she manipulates all the weather !!!!
She can turn into her opponents molecules and superfreeze them and then bring in solar storms and burn everything,
She can sink all of Atlantis and rip apart Namor and his gills by playing with the molecules of water in them and then dry the entire city of Atlantis.
That's why they didn't get her in the New Black Panther Movie, because, she is the wife of Blank Panther, the Queen of Wakanda, not just that she was worshipped as a Goddess and has magical powers as she descends from one ancestor of hers who was an ancient one !!

I had that magazine that I bought at grocery store. It had 3 stories about Ice Man , Nightcrawler. and Marvel Girl and it had no color ink. It was 1980 or 81.
