Lol! Thankyou 👌🌴
Thanks Veni for your recipe! I’ve perfected your panipopo and tried this tonight. Definitely something I’ll have to try again to get right, tastes good like a German bun but look like hard donuts lol
There were 2 ammo things that happened:
1. The sugar clumped when I put the coconut cream in lol
2. The first batch of buns opened at the bottom when frying haha
Just cos they look closed when dough form - forgot dough expands in hot oil and voila they bloomed open like a beautiful fried flower lol
Practice makes perfect ah lol love your work Veni, still making my way through your recipes :) alofas!
Love this . Looking forward to trying this much alofas

Hi Veni Thank you for the recipe you make it look so easy :) I tried it tonight, mate I dont know where I went wrong lols :) You know the sugar caramel with shredded coconut I follow all steps what do you do once it's cooked do you turn the oven on low heat and still stir or take it off and rest. Because when I did that it went solid hard like a rock :) :) Can you help please. YOUR CHANNEL IS AMAZING Thank you for sharing your recipes.
Hi Tiresa! ok so the trick with the sugar is to keep melting the sugar until it it burns into a thick liquid (like the puligi vlog). Once you have like a burnt consistency you then add your coconut cream along with your penu to create the filling. let me know how you go.
hi vegi omg was going to ask the same thing lol how much coconut cream do you add in there and how much sugar please?
Talofa uso very happy I found your RUclips channel 👍👍👍
no worries Efa!

Growing up in Samoa, mother would make them to sell, but I don’t know recipe cause I moved to NZ in my teens to go to school. My older sisters who used to help mother with making them don’t even remember recipe. They were too busy sneaking out at night to go clubbing in those days.
Lol, sneaking out.
I used to help my Mum make panipopo when she sold them in NZ. But I was a kid then, didn't think to write her recipes down.

Hi Siupolu! Just watch from 2.14 to 2.45 on the video it shows the coconut cream and shredded coconut added to the caramel. Hope this helps!
Can I find the song at the end on RUclips? If so...how can I find it?
Hi VENI, I am watching ur program from Anchorage, Alaska, I loved eating German bun, But the problem is when I make the dough, all came out so hard, its like the yeast doesnt show risen, nd I like know how to cook the shredded coconut, It look so easy how you make them, but Im a beginner. Please help me out so I dont waste my flour etc. You can txt me. Nd I like learn also your Panipopo. Pls txt me. Thank you. Yummy, I will be so happy if I catch up. Wow, look so good. Thanks VENI, GB, keep up ur talent.
Hi Petapeta, sorry I am still responding to all the comments on here lol Awesome to meet you as well, yes the dough mix, you can either leave it in the heated oven for about 10 mins or just leave it at room temperature for 2 hours to rise. The yeast mixed with the sugar should work, as it allows the dough to rise. As for the shredded coconut, yes the key is to allow the sugar to burn and then mix with the pe'epe'e and shredded coconut together. Hope it helps, toe tali mai pe a e le malamalama i faatonuga lea ua avatu, talosia e fesoasoani atu i lau falaiga german bun, God bless Petapeta, lovely to meet you
Hiyeee! Quick question: Would I be able to bake the German buns, instead of frying?? Thank you! Love your channel btw!!
You can definitely try and bake them! Probably either coat / brush with coconut cream or spray lightly with oil spray to give it a crisp outside 💯🏡
Do you recipe for pagi vige
Hi Tasi, yes there is a Pagi Vige recipe on this channel
They look amazing! and also does anyone know the song at 6:00?
Wayno
So 800ml of oil? (To be added in the dough)
Apologies Tors its 1/8 cup of oil not 800ml as mentioned in the vlog - Worded that wrong 💯❤🏡
Veni Vlogs thank you!
Because some mix with Water, some mix with milk, so which is the best, also some are too oily, some are perfect. Is it the way of measuring recipe, pls help.
Hi Petapeta - it is up to you whether you use water or milk - me personally I use milk because it makes it fluffy. As for the oil - well, i'm not too sure because it is deep fried in oil - unless you bake the pani first and the quickly deep fry to brown the german buns
"JAM IN BUNS" 🤣
Talofa veni
Talofa Isabel
Can you please send me the recipe please
I dont like the jelky jam, but coconut.
Win where do you live
Hi Rita, we live here in Australia
Sorry Vini
I don't know why y'all call it German bun it's jam in buns
I have a question though why do y'all call it German bun it's called jam in bun... I'm not trying to bash our own people we just need to stop calling it german bun.
I have no idea good question! I guess it was a german treat from back then and we just used the name german bun? Jam in bun also sounds just as right lol I'll have to ask my elders about that one - thanks good question though
@@venizales The Germans didn't introduced it to us it was the Europeans nd Americans
@@venizales cause my great grandma is palagi that moved to samoa back when it was first introduced to us she always said jam in bun nd us samoans mistaken it as german buns
