Love the Glock 17 gen 3. If you carry that 24/7, with 3 spare mags, you are well protected. And practice with it at least once a week at the range.

Try an opsol adapter for your Maverick 88. Run with federal mini shells it takes your capacity to 9+1 with no reliability issues. Plus 00 buck and #4 buck in mini shell perform just as good as 3/4 shells for home defense
