Hi! Thank you for your great walkthroughs. My daughter gave me a Switch for my birthday in January this year. I love Zelda, and remember this game well, but was so glad for your help! I'm 75. and still playing Zelda! You sound like a sweet guy!
At 17:35 you don’t have to jump to shoot the statue’s eye. There is a platform at the bottom of the screen you can walk up to be level with the eye. Not necessary but makes it a tad easier.
I hear people talking about hard things and it took literally 30 minutes to get past 14:11. Also took me another 10 to get past 28:10 Somehow beat hot head first try but was at half a heart. I forgot I even had a shield until I got to half hearts so the shield was really helpful.
It took me backtracking 30 minutes to realize you can control the stone thing and it took watching this video to realize you need to fill up the room. This game really doesn't explain shit to you 😂.
In the original game it explains it; the Stone Slab (later changed to an Owl Statue) has the hint "Fill all the holes with the rock that roles, this (picture of control pad) is the key". No idea what the case is for this version (or even the DX version at the moment.)
Sorry to be offtopic but does someone know of a tool to log back into an instagram account?? I was dumb lost my account password. I love any tips you can give me.
@Brian Fox thanks so much for your reply. I found the site on google and Im trying it out now. I see it takes quite some time so I will get back to you later with my results.
Something else I forgot earlier: Thank you for this, SJC. I was headdesking pretty hard trying to figure out how to get into the dungeon. All the non-video walkthroughs I could find (it's been literally two decades since I played the GB version, and never got very far on the LA DX virtual console release for the 3DS) were apparently referring to the GB(C) versions, and they all said just to whack its head a bunch of times with [edit:the sword, but] no mention of bombing the stone mask off first. In short, you saved me from a concussion. ;)
Much appreciated, i try my best to avoid walkthroughs, but that last temple just spat me out after savouring my confusion and frustration for almost three months since i last played it. 😁
17:36 you can jump and shoot or you can walk on top of that special lift up stone platform that infrond of the statue only on the other side of the room walk ontop of that turn and shoot in the eye 👁 olso a other trick
The original was harder. The cracked wall that lead to the crystal switch had no indication of it being able to blow up at all in the original. It caused a lot of headaches and run around back then.
Man, how is anybody supposed to figure out that you’re supposed to fill in every single space with that tile maker contraption, and know how to control it, without a guide? This game is so cryptic in certain parts. Super fun though. Lucky we have good walkthroughs.
This game is a product of another time. In Super Mario World, there is a similar mechanic with ? blocks that start coin trails. You're supposed to use the D-Pad to control the path. The Owl Statue in this dungeon says "Fill all the holes with the rock that rolls. This [left thumbstick] is the key!" So they do give you a hint, but it's still something that's really different than the rest of the game's mechanics.
Top man. I followed you step by step on the last 2 dungeons. Glad I did as I’d have never managed by myself. Great game until that last 2 dungeons where a degree in brain surgery would have helped.
Eagle's Tower is definitely annoying. If it weren't for ZeldaDungeon.net, I probably would've made the worst tutorial possible. Whoever wrote that guide is a genius.
to anyone watching this video at 22:53 he tells you that you have to jump over the punching guy, it is difficult and frustrating but you don't actually have to jump over him you just have to step to the side and then hit him from behind
I actually did this dungeon all on my own. I got better as the game went along. I was looking up a lot of stuff at the beginning of LA but I wanted to challenge myself to not look anything up towards the end. The only thing I looked up for this dungeon was where the staircase to get the nightmare key. I had already gone up it earlier before I got the magic rod and was looking everywhere trying to find it again lol
By the way, that bombable wall at about 17:45 that you didn't know if it was a shortcut, it's not as much a shortcut as a way to recover from a goof. If you (like I did earlier today) use a small key too early, you can get stuck, but bombing that wall opens up a path that lets you get back on track.
At 28:29 I filled all the squares, but not in the same path as you did. So there are at least 2 ways to do it. I'm surprised I got it right the first time.
You are so awesome and videos are much loved!! But I had to bust out laughing when you said "I AM THE HINTS I AM THE GUIDE"..reminded me of Breaking Bad "I am the danger, I am the one that knocks!" Lol
I found the best way to beat the fire dragons that split into 2 bats after is if you have the boomerang spam it on him and he will (Hopefully) stay stunned and you will split him but there is a high chance the bats will hit you tho but not much of a threat if you have blue armor
Thanks for this it really helped, but I had the boomerang before I watched this and I recommend getting it before this dungeon if you want cause it stuns the flying enemies and kills the electric ball guys.
18:08 If you push the bottom block to the left you can get the chest without blocking the exit. Thanks for your walkthroughs, this one and the Eagle Tower one helped me a lot.
Those tile placers are actually easy but the hardest thing is remembering what stair case go to what other staircase but it's easy to know use those markers a code them to what staircase goes where and its a lot easier.
the place where you have to “jump and shoot the arrow”, there’s actually a block at the south side of the room you can climb on and shoot from! it makes it a whole lot easier!
The tile machine has a head on it. That head corresponds to the left control stick on your controller. You want to point the head in the direction you want it to go next.
@Drayven Maguire Move the tile machine then move the controller where you want it to go. If it doesn't work then there may be a problem with your Switch or joycons.
@@SweetJohnnyCage hey the guides were much easier because I had boomerang if u wanna get it too u can search it up thanks to ur guides I beat the game thank you so much
