Turtle Rock is a grueling gauntlet of minibosses, traps, and pitfalls. New enemies terrorize you in magma chambers while you try your best to reach the final Instrument of the Sirens. Good luck!

Hi! Thank you for your great walkthroughs. My daughter gave me a Switch for my birthday in January this year. I love Zelda, and remember this game well, but was so glad for your help! I'm 75. and still playing Zelda! You sound like a sweet guy!
At 17:35 you don’t have to jump to shoot the statue’s eye. There is a platform at the bottom of the screen you can walk up to be level with the eye. Not necessary but makes it a tad easier.
I hear people talking about hard things and it took literally 30 minutes to get past 14:11. Also took me another 10 to get past 28:10
Somehow beat hot head first try but was at half a heart. I forgot I even had a shield until I got to half hearts so the shield was really helpful.
It took me backtracking 30 minutes to realize you can control the stone thing and it took watching this video to realize you need to fill up the room. This game really doesn't explain shit to you 😂.
In the original game it explains it; the Stone Slab (later changed to an Owl Statue) has the hint "Fill all the holes with the rock that roles, this (picture of control pad) is the key". No idea what the case is for this version (or even the DX version at the moment.)
Sorry to be offtopic but does someone know of a tool to log back into an instagram account??
I was dumb lost my account password. I love any tips you can give me.
@Edwin Ishaan instablaster :)
@Brian Fox thanks so much for your reply. I found the site on google and Im trying it out now.
I see it takes quite some time so I will get back to you later with my results.
@Brian Fox it worked and I actually got access to my account again. Im so happy:D
Thank you so much, you really help me out !
18:07 you can also push the one on the left down and the one in front of the chest left 26:37 arrows do work
Really helpful guides. I needed these refresh of memory since i haven't played this game in a long time.
I'm glad you find them helpful!
you can also use boomerang on sparks to kill em.
Thanks so much, i would never have been able to beat this game without your guides.
Something else I forgot earlier: Thank you for this, SJC. I was headdesking pretty hard trying to figure out how to get into the dungeon. All the non-video walkthroughs I could find (it's been literally two decades since I played the GB version, and never got very far on the LA DX virtual console release for the 3DS) were apparently referring to the GB(C) versions, and they all said just to whack its head a bunch of times with [edit:the sword, but] no mention of bombing the stone mask off first.
In short, you saved me from a concussion. ;)
Hahaha I'm glad I could help!
14:02 - 14:16 is what I'm really here for, thanks for showing it!
Top man. I followed you step by step on the last 2 dungeons. Glad I did as I’d have never managed by myself. Great game until that last 2 dungeons where a degree in brain surgery would have helped.
Eagle's Tower is definitely annoying. If it weren't for ZeldaDungeon.net, I probably would've made the worst tutorial possible. Whoever wrote that guide is a genius.
Same situation bro. After two hours trying, I'm turn to youtube as my gaming time is quite limited.

Where is crazy Tracy in town can't find her anywhere
@@zachflannery6750 Crazy Tracy is right next to where it says Tabahl Wasteland on your map
Really appreciate these walkthroughs. Having a lot of fun with this game. Thanks!!!
El Niperoo 23 Wow
I’m not going back because you have this game?
I found the best way to beat the fire dragons that split into 2 bats after is if you have the boomerang spam it on him and he will (Hopefully) stay stunned and you will split him but there is a high chance the bats will hit you tho but not much of a threat if you have blue armor
I wish I realized this before making the guide, but you can also sprinkle them with magic powder once and they'll die instantly.
Maybe the goomba is unaffected by spikes, similar to how they don’t slip on ice in Super Mario Odessey
@17:50 you dont actually have to jump you can stand on that platform on the bottom of screen to be the right height to shoot arrow at eye of statue
15:49 if you break all the blocks it reveals an arrow pointing to a wall that can be bombed
17:36 you can jump and shoot or you can walk on top of that special lift up stone platform that infrond of the statue only on the other side of the room walk ontop of that turn and shoot in the eye 👁 olso a other trick
thank you ,of all the walkthroughs that i watch yours are the best hands down
Thanks for those amazing walkthrougs BTW you can use manbos mambo to come atthe entrance without reseting the switch
If you use Mambo's song, it doesn't reset the crystal.
Thanks! Good to know :)
Those tile placers are actually easy but the hardest thing is remembering what stair case go to what other staircase but it's easy to know use those markers a code them to what staircase goes where and its a lot easier.
Triple like dude. Seriously. I don’t know what’s up with you and speed runners. That’s between you and them. But thank you so much. You’re awesome.
Thank you! What are you referring to w/ me and speedrunners, though?
Thanks, I really couldn't figure out that I needed to complete the floor at 14:03
At 28:29 I filled all the squares, but not in the same path as you did. So there are at least 2 ways to do it. I'm surprised I got it right the first time.
Oh cool!
the place where you have to “jump and shoot the arrow”, there’s actually a block at the south side of the room you can climb on and shoot from! it makes it a whole lot easier!
You know what's funny, that's one of the weirdest changes from the GB original. In the original, it was a staircase.
Just a side note, warping back to the entrance with your flute does not reset the dungeon but going outside and back in does
the boomerang is great for killing those balls of fire that pace through the dungeons :)
The wall you break that’s next to the lava is in case you use all the keys and can go the same route you took you go through the wall and jump over to get the rest of the Keys
You had to jump and shoot the statue, of course... Man I've been stuck in this dungeon for a while just because of that bullshit.
Edit: After going back I noticed you can simply shoot from the pedestal, it should have been obvious but it didn't click in the moment.
I was just about to say this. And avoiding the electro balls. (That's what I call them)
The Owl gives quite the clue ;)
NO YOU DON'T HAVE TO JUMP JUST GO TO THE BACK OF THE ROOM
I love this game but the later levels are a pain. I just got to the point where I wanted to beat it. Thanks for your help.
God I just hate everything about this dungeon, made me want to throw this game in the bin
Just burn it to the ground with your magic rod. (:
I felt like this company was working with gamestop to make us bring the game back so they can make money on the resale 😂.
The original was harder. The cracked wall that lead to the crystal switch had no indication of it being able to blow up at all in the original. It caused a lot of headaches and run around back then.
dhay03 I remember that I just put bombs on every wall
I feel the EXACT SAME
to anyone watching this video at 22:53 he tells you that you have to jump over the punching guy, it is difficult and frustrating but you don't actually have to jump over him you just have to step to the side and then hit him from behind
You can temporarily kill the black holes and manba’s mambo doesn’t reset the crystal
Thanks for this it really helped, but I had the boomerang before I watched this and I recommend getting it before this dungeon if you want cause it stuns the flying enemies and kills the electric ball guys.
I HAVE GOT TO THE POINT IN THE GAME WHERE YOU CAN GET BOOMERANG BUT I CAN'T BUY ITFOR SOME REASON
Ok so I noticed that with the mummies you jump and slash that way you don’t make the ground fall and the jumping up and shooting the statue ... there’s a pedestal behind you js but so far great vid it helped out thx
What should I do if the “move” blocks only go in a straight line and don’t turn or fill the space. I’m literally stuck lol.
The tile machine has a head on it. That head corresponds to the left control stick on your controller. You want to point the head in the direction you want it to go next.
@Drayven Maguire Move the tile machine then move the controller where you want it to go. If it doesn't work then there may be a problem with your Switch or joycons.
@Drayven Maguire I beat the game last December! It was really good!
By the way, that bombable wall at about 17:45 that you didn't know if it was a shortcut, it's not as much a shortcut as a way to recover from a goof.
If you (like I did earlier today) use a small key too early, you can get stuck, but bombing that wall opens up a path that lets you get back on track.
Ahhhh. Very cool. Thanks for the info!
@@SweetJohnnyCage Forgot to mention bombing it out from the other side, since with the key shortage you can't get to the statue arrow room.
The ball of electricity die in 1 boomarang hit. Makes the play thru a little easier
And better yet some times it spawns a fairy when you do [edit: (at least on normal mode, not sure about Hero Mode like what SJC is doing)].
@@imnohbody Thanks! Didn't know that about the boomerang killing these guys. I can confirm, though, that they still drop absolutely nothing on hero mode haha.
The thing that always gets me is those bomb walls are so hard to see. That seems to be where I keep getting stuck.
You are so awesome and videos are much loved!! But I had to bust out laughing when you said "I AM THE HINTS I AM THE GUIDE"..reminded me of Breaking Bad "I am the danger, I am the one that knocks!" Lol
when you shoot the Statues eye there is a pyramid on the south wall of the room that you can walk up onto from the side and shoot from there.. No reason to jump and shoot
Wow, I totally missed that haha.
omg i was suffering trying to hit it with the arrow, such a waste of arrows, thanks for that
This is crazy been stuck here fo 2 days now ,I was bout to lose my mental .thank u
I WAS STUCK ON THE DUNGEON FOR 1-2 MINUTES
Imagine playing a Zelda title that has dungeons. Where there's no weapon deterioration or stamina gauge. Traditional zelda game. Really enjoyed this title. Good walk through.
Glad you enjoyed the walkthrough :)
You didn't like BotW?
@@SweetJohnnyCage hated it. Mainly for the reasons I mentioned. Doesn't feel like a Zelda game.
@@Ncogniigro Huh, that's a shame. It's one of those games that I wish I could forget so I can discover it for the first time again, like Dark Souls or Bloodborne. Sorry you didn't like it. Hopefully BotW2 addresses some of those concerns for you :)
Omg at 14:17 I tried that part 50 times I swear to God!!!!!!
I'm still trying to get it done. My coordination is not good enough to keep doing those direction Zamboni changes for so long!
Awesome! The boomerang kills all..muhaha!!
Best weapon
At 8:18 or something you can actually jump behind the block back to the entrance
Man, how is anybody supposed to figure out that you’re supposed to fill in every single space with that tile maker contraption, and know how to control it, without a guide? This game is so cryptic in certain parts. Super fun though. Lucky we have good walkthroughs.
This game is a product of another time. In Super Mario World, there is a similar mechanic with ? blocks that start coin trails. You're supposed to use the D-Pad to control the path.
The Owl Statue in this dungeon says "Fill all the holes with the rock that rolls. This [left thumbstick] is the key!" So they do give you a hint, but it's still something that's really different than the rest of the game's mechanics.
18:08 If you push the bottom block to the left you can get the chest without blocking the exit.
Thanks for your walkthroughs, this one and the Eagle Tower one helped me a lot.
You're definitely correct on that. Great eye!
Thank you for making this so straightforward and helping me finally beat this !!!!!
Awesome strategy guide and those zamboni machines were a pain mostly cuz of the joy-con
Thank you, sweet, Johnny cage. You've been a great help over many of my games
Manbos song did NOT reset the blue/orange switch
Appreciate the guide. The game was cool but a bit frustrating I will be honest. Not sure if I would have beat it without it tbh lol.
Okay my “zambonie” isn’t working correctly
It's really annoying to use, especially compared to the original. You want to move your stick in the direction you want it to go next. So while it's creating one tile, push the stick to the next direction. I find it easier to hold the stick the entire time I'm moving it, and then just adjusting the course a second before I actually need it to move. It will move once it's done creating the tile it's currently making, so you want to make sure the head of the zamboni is facing the next direction before that happens.
SweetJohnnyCage thank you! I’ve been running around in circles unable to progress since i wasn’t moving the thing myself
@@sugarbaby071603 You're welcome. It took me a while to get used to it, too. In the original, you just tapped the direction you wanted it to go next. You didn't have to practically drive it manually.
I found those parts annoying as well. Experimenting, it seems that the Joycons work better for that than the Pro controller, if that's how you're playing. Maybe it's just me, but it seems like the left thumbstick is less sensitive on the joycons, reducing the chance of a stray input turning it the wrong way.
(Mind you, that experience is with a left joycon that has the drift issue, since I haven't gotten around to getting it fixed yet.)
Urgh that was the worst puzzle type
I found easiest to keep holding the L stick in the direction u want to change to unless making a series of quic changes than flicking it was easier
Thanks my brother looks at all of your videos to finish Zelda links awakening 🤜
Happy to help!
Boomerang is a good tool against Vires.
Manbos manbo does send you back to the start of the dungeon
Best walkthrough but that floor layer was terrible especially the last room took me like forever to finally get it
I know right I've been in and out that room over 100 times and the floor still won't fill up with tiles!! 😤
you can hit the mini boss from the front after he punches. easier to kill.
8:59 I had the red tunic and he died in three hits.
Did you also have the upgraded Koholint Sword?
SweetJohnnyCage oh yeah I had that too lol
Thanks Johnny u really got me thru luv the way u explain ur reason 4 how u go through the dungeons. Awesome Job!
My pleasure!
Thanks for the guides I would've never got past the 1rst dungeon if it wasn't for you
13:33 I did it fancy and speed ran it and it worked it was rly fast
Bomb arrows?Wow!I hadn't realized that you could do that! Some bosses would certainly had been easier!
Yup.
In the Dx version he sends you to the start
That last Zamboanga thing fucked me up so bad I was screaming
16:22 you can also kill the gibdos with 2 bomb arrows
dude the upgraded master sword you get from the shells and the red tunic is not even fair
Another great walkthrough! Weird that none of the mini bosses spawned faeries in your play through. Thanks for posting. Subscribed!
Thanks for the sub! They don't spawn faeries because I'm playing on hero mode.
@@SweetJohnnyCage hey the guides were much easier because I had boomerang if u wanna get it too u can search it up thanks to ur guides I beat the game thank you so much
7:19 or just whack with boomerang 7 times and demolish
Using manbos Mambo works fine
Did u know if u run into the black hole and attack it you can kill it.
Y'know, you don't have to slash the demon 6 times. Just spam the boomerang at him until he divides into the tiny demons.
If you have the boomerang
Thanks for the walkthrough, you’ve been very helpful :)
You're welcome! I appreciate the feedback :)
Thank you soooo much! If it wasn’t for your videos I would never solver the puzzles or beat the game 🤗
You're welcome 😊
I've had this game for 2 days and I'm about finished with this game
Same
Ethan Chiswell Did you use a guide the whole way or something? It’s taken me months.
23:30 I actually wanted to just throw this entire system away
Kinda funny how this is called the magic rod despite not consuming any magic unlike in AlttP
In the original and DX fight against Blaino, he bops you back to the dungeon entrance.
Rofl God damn that would suck!
I have the boomerang and it was useful the entire game I could kill the eletrco balls and wizards it’s so ez with it
you can speed dash black hole when it is not sucking and kill it. fyi
just so you know the red bat you can stun him with boomerang and then hit with sword fast to kill him.
I have trying to fill up the room with tiles and nothing is happening
do you have to beat the bat exactly how you did? I'm stuck on getting the last small key to get to the nightmare key. my boyfriend and myself did a lot of this out of sequence. idk if that mattered or not?
If by the bat you mean the red flying demon thing, you can actually sprinkle it with magic powder once and it will die immediately. Someone in the comments pointed that out to me the other day :)
This helped me a lot so whenever my dad comes home he wants to play this game hello what in the world how did you Do it when I was there and I say well it was really easy so I
How do you make bomb arrows?
Equip arrows and bombs, then press both buttons at the same time.
Excellent and helpful video. Thanks! 😄
You're welcome!
Thanks for the help!
Thanks so much! This helped alot!
You're welcome!
Thank you bro. You made the Dungeon a breeze
Glad I could help!
You can spam boomerang at the demons
Hi thanks for your videos 🙏💙 Im having trouble with white boxes floor covering on this level it doesnt complete the full action do u know why?
You need to guide it yourself. Your left joystick corresponds with the head of the tile machine.
@@SweetJohnnyCage will try that thx 🤞 yeah it works now 💯👌💥🙏
thank you
Very Helpful!
You can kill electric orb with boomerang
Not only did he reset the fight In the original, he booted you back to the beginning
Good walkthrough. Straight to the point
Thanks very much for the feedback!
Your videos are really helpful!
I have a question, have you seen BeardBears walkthrough in this same dungeon? I was watching earlier and he has like some sort of magic power ? Like when he slings his sword it emits like blue fire of something of the sort. Do you have any idea how he got it? Asking because he doesn’t answer many comments on his video.
Are you sure it's a sword and not the magic rod? The magic rod is the treasure in this dungeon. If you can show me one of his videos with a timestamp, I can check it out.
Oh I know what it is! It's the upgraded sword from the Seashell Mansion. You need to collect 40 Secret Seashells, then go to the Seashell Mansion. You'll get the upgraded there. Having full health makes the sword shoot beams.
@@SweetJohnnyCage I appreciate the reply! Thank you so much! Sorry I just now seen this! I’ll definitely look into collecting more, so far I’ve only gotten about 25
17:36
I was stuck on that stage with shooting the arrow at the statue-
It was much more obvious in the original. Plenty of people have gotten stuck there.
