@@Anubis1993KZ I don't have notifications on. Sea is one of the top streamers and earns way more than players who are def better than him (like Sn0w). He also is known to be very lazy, but is just lucky and naturally gifted at the game to qualify for ASL quite consistently. These prizes are nothing compared to that

he's bottom tier in major proleague (highest tier) and is frequent there because he has big fanbase. He's good player that makes into ASL regularly so in big picture, he's a great player, just that he maintains low winrate in highest of highest streamer league
but snow earned a lot through streaming no?

@mimszanadunstedt441 he has decent youtube going and has decent following for stream+spon games+other tourneys. It's not just daily proleague tho

The nature of Tournaments. Its a scam. If you wanna actually have everyone Win, then what you wanna do is create demonstration tournaments with maps that promote very long meta games, so every match is like a show match. With the best players. Then pay them all.
And have them vote on who plays against who.
What kind of take is this? The purpose of tournaments isn't to make everyone a winner, it's just a competition to determine who the best player of that tournament is. It's not unfair at all
@@skcans Sorry but in USA people have to fly to tournaments so its a net loss for like 99% of players, in Korea it might be different. But in USA its destroying esports imo. The smaller esports.
@@mimszanadunstedt441 Players that don't have their travels covered know what they're getting into so it's on them to assess whether or not it's worth it to go play in offline tournaments. They're not dumb and obviously know that it's not easy to place high enough to break even but that's the life of a competitor
Going back to your original point though, it's NOT the tournament organizer's responsibility to pay for the players' salaries. That's what the team and sponsor is for. Their job is to provide an even platform for players to compete in. The better players will have a higher chance of winning than the less skilled players and it's fair that way. Yes good players like snow can get "unlucky" and may never win anything in their career but that's ultimately on them
