    That was very refreshing to hear you say that you're on a journey to discover your family heritage too!
    ☺️ 🙌🏾💯
    I've been combing through archives for almost a decade, but I haven't made the leap to DNA testing yet.
    My parents have AT LEAST tri-racial ancestry (Black African, Indigenous, and European). I'd love to know our actual DNA breakdown(s). 🧬
    One day soon, I'mma take the leap and find out with a DNA test! 💯✅️
    EDIT: #Subscribed

    I would say I’m multi-racial because my mom is black/white (biracial) and my dad is Spaniard/Mexican (mix) so I’m mixed with all that & my kids are mixed with my mix & their father Hispanic. So to simplify it we say multiracial.

    I recently got my DNA results. I'm not sure if I would consider myself as MGM. I'm almost 80% African(Nigerian, West African, Kenyan) and the rest is an admixture of Iberian, Finnish, West Asian and Native American ❤ Its crazy because depending on where I am I will get asked if I'm East African, Afro-latina or Biracial.

      @@HoneySnowflake I feel like that’s up to you to decide but based off of how you say you look and your dna results I would say so.

    Most of us are going to be mixed with other races anyway. Is this going to be a new category from Negro, Colored, Afro American, Black American, African American to Multi Mixed American. What is the point?

      @@ginaturner7755 if you want to stay and learn, you can and should. But, if you don’t get the point and you don’t want to educate yourself, then this content is not for you.

      @@LoverGirlsAnonymous I am asking you what is the point? I have been through all the name changes. The question is why are we the only race that has gone through the name changes? We should focus on the beautiful women we are instead of being mixed with other races. Colorism is killing us even today. Let's mix up the video with all the shades of beautiful Black Women or African American Women or what ever we want to call ourself these days.

    • @LoverGirlsAnonymous
      @LoverGirlsAnonymous  3 месяца назад +4

      @@ginaturner7755 We ARE focusing on the beautiful women that we are! For us that DOES include being mixed with other races or having the phenotype of someone who is mixed. We don’t want to and we won’t deny the other aspects of who we are. We won’t deny or ignore our own experiences. We won’t be told that we’re all just Black at the end of the day and so we should all just focus on that. Bc that’s not how UAB people actually treat us. And it’s actually not true. We look different. We have very different experiences. This is OUR space to celebrate each other, share our own unique experiences, and support eachother in living our best lives as mixed and light skinned women. That’s it. That’s the point!

    • @ginaturner7755
      @ginaturner7755 3 месяца назад +1

      @@LoverGirlsAnonymous Black is not a race rather you are light skin or dark skin. Our skin should be seen as just beautiful. We all have different experiences but we should not let the world dictate to us. That is also the point.
