I cannot believe it. We lost an incredible one of a kind drummer. *RIP Joey*
Drum it up with the Drum Gods, in Heaven.
Joey and Jimmy the Rev are having epic drum solos right now. RIP to both legends!!
RIP master of drums, thanks to him I have discovered slipknot, he changed my life thank u forever Joey
Well said bro 😔😔
this is the video i am linking him to in my RIP to him... damn, that sucks he's gone... A ton of my friends would never understand Slipknot but I hope they'll watch at least this one..
also sad hed prob wanted to reunite with Slipknot. :(
I love how he just walks in and destroys the drum set.
yeah and hes so fast but it does likes it nothing
And he walks out like a boss ahaha
Now he walks on clouds
no shit.. he was boss of that set.. ha.. RIP Joey
fkn sad he's gone...
and damn i thought he was WAY younger than me.. 46.. i just turned 50... gah
I’m 14 and picked up the sticks after seeing what Joey could do. Only recently started playing and listening to Slipknot, didn’t know he died. Rest In Peace, Joey Jordison.
That's awesome! The first time I saw this video, I was probably 12 or 13 and it's part of what influenced me to play the drums too. I'm almost 30 now and still play, keep at it!
keep it up, kid! we know you'll make joey proud with your drumming prowess. 🤘🥁
Bro I'm 30 and I'm picking up the sticks again after 20 years for the same reason!!
You still play?
I remember watching this clip when I was a kid, now I'm 24 and want to buy my first drumkit thanks to this Legend, thank you Joey R.I.P.
same except I'm 26 but I remember watching this over n over again when I was like 8 just amazed and it made me Wana start playin drums. true legend
24 xD
Similar story except i’m 28 and started playing after watching for the first time and have been playing seriously for over 10 years. Metal drumming is the funnest! Keep practicing and always challenge yourself… it will payoff and get easier to do the stuff you have always dreamed off doing.

Did you buy it then?
Rest in peace, Mr. Joey Jordison. A very sad loss.
🕯️🙏
Rest in peace omg what happened
I like to think he’s playing drums with Bonham, Moon, Peart, Menza and the rest of our fallen drummers right now
Dude makes it look as easy as just breathing. Crazy talent.
Dude isnt drumming or breathing anymore ☹️ RIP legend 🖤
It's not talent its skill. You could be as be as good as Joey if you cared as much as he did. Most people don't, thats why he is the best.
@@gbet543ritv I assure you there are ppl that want it more than Joey and aren't nearly as good. To say he didn't have natural ability is laughable. He works hard at his craft no duh. But to say ANYONE can do the same with the passion for music he has, is simply a fantasy.
@@hnglmccrnglbrry1637 I said anyone can be as good as Joey not be a Joey copy. Although, I'd say I was wrong in saying anyone could do it if they cared enough. Discipline effects skill more than passion, and not everyone has disciple. Speaking of discipline I'm gonna go practice.
@@gbet543ritv I got what you're saying brother. Go get it🤘
Joey was only 3 years older then me. It feels like its never enough time, I hope he lived a good life, I hope his bucket list was short, I hope he laughed hard and loved passionately. He touched millions and even though I didnt know him everytime I put on headphones I felt like he was playing just for me. Rest easy, i hope our paths cross in the next life.

Can’t believe Joey is gone he was too young❤️🕊
RIP to an absolute LEGEND one of the best drummers to ever exist
Years after, and i still think that those drums sound just awesome.
Rest In Peace to one of the most influential drummers of all time. I cannot believe this is reality now without him.
My heart is broken. You taught me how to drum. I listened to your records over and over, just always blown away by your speed and technicality. I've never been hurt by a death of a "celebrity", but joey was an inspiration to me. RIP.

Best drummer!!!! Legend Joey Jordison!!!
HE IS THE BEST DRUMMER OF ALL TIME> AAAALLLL TIME. Know what i mean, best of aalllll time..
The fact is that when other drummers are at the top and when other's post came they weren't there. but, Joey> He is always on their top list > SO, that makes him the best drummer of all time> but, if you know what i mean, he is the best of all time> but not the top no1 drummer that change every month or year like. I mean ALL TIME BEST>
Joseph Zothanpuia Sooo... Because a lot of people say he's good, that makes him good?
@@mechaluke I mean he's very talented.
@@TheAtomicPunk-fr7dm I never disputed that, but Joseph's reasoning is still nonsense. People saying that something is good doesn't make them good. And Joey is still not the best drummer of all time.

Eternal Joey. RIP For me, the best in the world
I’d watch this warmup over and over again, in awe every time. RIP #1. Thank for you for everything.
the best part of this video is him walking away casually XD

R.I.P Joey Jordison, 1 year without you :( we really miss you
I remember when I was in school doing drumming lessons and my drum teacher asked me if there is anything I wanted to learn. This was the first video that came to my mind and he loved it. RIP to an absolute legend in the drumming community.
For 20 years, I consider Joey a close friend. From the very first recording of his music that I heard. During this time, people came into my life and left it. It does not matter whose fault. To let another person into your life, you need to make room for it in your heart. It's hard. But it is much harder to fill the void that remains after your loved ones leave. And I filled this emptiness with Joey's music. So over the years Joey has become more and more in me. Friendship in 20 years has grown into true love. Joey and his music is something that will never leave me. Happy birthday to you, Joey! Thank you, Friend. Be happy.
1:58 Blast beats!!!
Thank you for all the awesome music you gave us. RIP Joey. From now on every thunder I hear it will be you drumming

RIP Joey. You will be missed. One of the best drummers of all time.

The world of drumming feels so empty without him, may he keep destroying drum sets high in heaven
I remember this being one of the first videos that brought Joey to my attention way back when I was in highschool. R.I.P man, you'll always be a hero for all metalheads out there
Anyone else here right after hearing he passed away? RIP the GOAT
Still a bit hard to swallow. I just hope he passed naturally and not from some binge.

Wow! Just found this video again after all these years.
Started playing drums back in 1996 and stumbled upon a weird looking album titled Slipknot in 1999. Been a huge fan ever since!
Had to come back to this video after years of bingeing it cuz its just him in his element doing what he loved and damn it sucks he's gone😪. Rest In Peace Joey and thank you for the incredible music and inspiration🥁🤙🙏.

I saw this video a day before Joey’s pass, it hit me hard this weird coincidence, but nowadays I feel like I said goodbye to him in a way.
Been watching this since I was a kid… and I can honestly say at the age of 22 this is still one of the most amazing things I’ve witnessed(I’ll say it when I’m 42 too!)
This is one of the few videos that got me into drumming... keeps coming back in my feed here and there. Hits different now that he's gone..

Sad thing I got into metal this year, absolutely fell in lov for joey he was a monster playing the drums. Listening to slipknot songs I can only pay attention to the drums and how he played just what I was feeling, starting to learn how to play because of Joey legend rest in peace
Joey was my inspiration at the beginning of learning to play drums at the 4th grade of elementary school, because Joey was the one who made me the drummer for one of the bands in Indonesia..
joey and jay I still love as long as it's still slipknot
Rest in peace, he’s the reason why we all loved heavy metal drumming ❤️🙏🏼

Gone but not forgotten
I used to watch this video a lot growing up. I never was even into heavy metal I just loved watching Joey's drum solos
remenber that this dude was a guitar player when he decided join slipknot, but they had 2 players already so joey thought : " hey im gonna hit those things like hell we will see how it goes"..... guess what im one of the best metal drummer ever EzPzLemonSqueezyForJoey :)
That's right bro.
Also a guitarist in the Murderdolls band! :) (lead singer: Wednesday 13- that's man's a trip!!!)
I’m pretty sure Craig was the one that changed his role
Joey was always the drummer what you on about? Craig was the one who switched instruments when Mick joined the band
You're partially right as Joey was a guitar player before he was a drummer (guitar was his first instrument). But he joined Slipknot as a drummer and ended up writing a lot of the songs, riffs and lyrics. He wrote all of s/t with Paul and Josh, with only additional riffs coming from Mick here and there. He also wrote half of the lyrics on that album himself.
