How to easily move a hot tub without lifting it. Make your own sled 🛷

My neighbor called me over to give them a hand, moving their new hot tub. Luckily, they had built this great sled for the hot tub to slide on top of. It consisted of a piece of 2 x 4 some bolts, a rope and a sheet of corrugated plastic Items that you can get at Home Depot. I was joking that I would be selling them on my website but they don’t look like they’re gonna ship very easy so we’re not gonna do that. It wasn’t as bad as I thought it was going to be we just really pushed it. We had one obstacle where we didn’t measure. We could’ve avoided that by measuring the gate before we built the slide, but we modified it in route to the backyard. Everything turned out great and they were sitting in their hot tub. Just moments after!

I just moved a 5 seater posted at 440 lbs using this method and across the grass and gravel driveway it wasn’t working. Luckily a riding lawnmower pulled it no problem.

It’s corrugated plastic, you can get it at Home Depot or Lowe’s. It comes in 4’ x 8’ sheets
