They both thought they were ready but they held back in the fight, it wasn’t a serious battle as they knew they couldn’t actually have the heart to kill one another.
There’s so many moments of dialogue in this show where you can tell Ekko and Vi aren’t necessarily trying to convince other people that Powder is dead. They’re trying to convince *themselves* that she is dead. Because thats the only way they can fight her. And even then, they can still see Powder when they fight.
Yo watching this just made me realize the little petal that falls in front of jinx before Cait shoots her- all she can see is the monster who killed her mother, and her mother follows her now in her every move
What really gets to me is Jinx’s look after getting defeated, it’s 100% Powder, it was the same as the fight with Ekko, it’s sad that Powder is faced with the fact her own family wants to kill her. I know she uses this sweet look to manipulate people but you can really see the fear in her eyes, also I feel like Jinx is way more powerful and could have defeated Vi but didn’t want to, no truly at least and doesn’t want to because she wouldn’t kill either Vi or Ekko, Powder wouldn’t let her.
Going from this to the return of Vander was so weird. The only problem with arcane szn 2 was how rushed it was. I really don’t understand why they were under a time restraint. There’s no reason for why they couldn’t just add 2 more episodes or make some episodes longer

I am definitely a Jinx fan but that doesn’t mean I agree, Vi did take responsibility, she tried apologising offering to leave everything and take Jinx with her. She was a child at the time and was faced with so much, yeah she shouldn’t have hit Powder or walked away but she was 15. Don’t get me wrong she did do some wrong doings like track down Jinx and ambush her in there hideout, but jinx also did some truly horrible things, not on purpose but everyone seems to forgive her but not Vi.
no. she isnt. if you know anything about bpd, you know it was going to happen anyway. bpd is caused typically by childhood trauma. (sometimes repeated.) that split was going to happen anyway. yes support can help, but trauma doesnt leave the mind. i would argue that silco is the one who really made powder lean into the jinx persona and new identity.
