    Good video. Some stress involved, but good way to make money. Can't wait for the next video. Be interesting to see what loads you get to go home.

    I was wondering if you had to unhitch the trailer in order to load the truck,but I see you don't! All you have to do is put the trailer at an Angle. Great Idea!😉 I haven't seen Anyone come up with that idea yet!

    • @steadytrucker

      There are occasions when I need to unhitch. Just depends on the size of the load and sometimes what their loading it with

    Did you have to modify or change the hitch to pull that 10,000 lb gvwr trailer? I have the same truck and the stock hitch is 6000 lbs

    • @steadytrucker
      @steadytrucker  Год назад

      My truck was custom ordered from the factory with heavy tow package. I didn't have to change anything, but I'm not sure you would want to tow 10k if you have stock.

    Morning to you Mr steady trucker,so you think I can start out with a ram 1500 hemi and a 22 feet bumper pull deckover flatbed trailer and run local here in Florida??. I know it will be challenging but I'm mentally prepared for that.

    • @steadytrucker
      @steadytrucker  Год назад +1

      Florida is very very tough. Unless you're willing to go over the road you will struggle. That set up will make money. Most people ask (and get) an above average rate going into Florida because there are few loads coming out. That's just my opinion. It depends on your hustle also. You will just have to work a little harder if you want to stay in Florida.

      @@steadytrucker I appreciate your respond. I'm going to get my MC NUMBER but when I said Florida...I mean in the first 3 months I'll just run local,but I'm planning on going to neighboring states near Florida...but I want to start out that way then work my way up to a 2500 Cummins..but I want to start out like that. I tune in to ur channel,that's how I discovered that I can start out the way u are running now. Am going to set my insurance radius to 1000 miles out from my business address.... I'm taking a little out ur book with my research.

    What loadboard is doing good? All rates on boards are in in the garbage 🗑

    • @steadytrucker
      @steadytrucker  Год назад

      I look at all of them but all rates are very bad right now. Rates are normally down this time of year but especially because of the economy right now. I'm just hoping they pick up in the next month.

    Who do you factor with?

    • @steadytrucker
      @steadytrucker  Год назад

      I'm with Apex Capital. I've been with them for 2 years now and have no complaints. I also have my fuel card through them which makes it very convenient to pay.

      @Steady Trucker your box truck seems gasoline driven, do you have a gasoline fuel card?

    • @steadytrucker
      @steadytrucker  Год назад

      @Yaz Salamanca I use tcs, it's the same card I used for deisel. Its connected to my factoring company. Doesn't really get discount like deisel but it's convenient. I still use the big truckstops most of the time. Using the truckstop reward card usually gets me 10 cents off. I don't get points anymore but I still get free showers
