the C8 is cheaper lighter and faster.........i mean the Shelby is mean but for the price and HP it doesnt put up the numbers it should. I love the shelby but i was sad when i saw the numbers it produces vs its HP and Cost. C8 Stock N/A 0-60 2.8 seconds GT500 Supercharged 0-60 3.5

@@Bigburb1345 Nice magazine bench racing you have going on there. Need I remind you that in the real world, the GT500 will be faster, vs. the stock C8, until either boost is added, or Z06 and ZR1 come along. GT500 has around 200+hp more than the C8, and also has a DCT.
Ronald Roy good to see the guys at work informed you on specs 😂. You clearly have no clue what you’re talking about. Put the c8 on the strip or track, and I *promise* you it’ll get gapped. I’m not hating on the c8 by any means, I just hate when people *think* they have a clue, but in reality they’re lost.
My 2020 gt500 is already tuned as well. Car is an absolute animal. I picked it up last Tuesday, Wednesday it was already on the dyno and got tuned. Now has over 800 miles. I cant get enough of driving this car!

All I have to say is Randy Probst prefers the Camaro over the Shelby. That’s money in the bank, $20K cheaper.

@@ForcedfedFords I have seen a few hatchet jobs on other channels and my first impression (judging a book by its cover) boy was i wrong, i was very impressed with the work. I work in a hole in the wall shop so i shouldnt be so judgemental lol.
Definitely shouldn't judge a book by it's cover. Some of the most talented people don't have a giant shop with all the attention and opportunities that other people have. I've seen some insanely good work done by one person in a tiny shop and some extremely poor work done by giant places with tons more room, bays, lifts, tools, "claimed experience", ad exposure, etc.

I have to say, props on your beard. Clean, trimmed, out of the mouth, nice and thick. Very nice. I'm not a fan of lots of facial hair in general but you've done good.
Love the Dual-clutch. Who doesn't.
BUT IT DOES NEED A 6-SPD TREMEC MANUAL OPTION. Nothing like just brapping and dropping the clutch. No messing around with switches and modes and other molarchy. Also it would just make the driving experience more involved.

The car sounds like it has a exhaust leak at the end.
Next time, hold the down shift paddle for few seconds, It will drop the gears to the most optimum one. You can properly floor it then.

I'm not that big of a silver fan either but I had the chance to see one in person at the Ford dealer I'm going to order my GT500 from and I have to say that it definitely changed my mind about that color.

That's an amazing Mustang. Fantastic color, great sounding beast. It seemed that your passenger didn't want to pass along many compliments toward the Shelby GT500. He should read the Motor Trend Shelby and C8 track comparison. The base Shelby GT500 beat the C8 track times at VIR and the Track Pack Shelby destroyed the C8. Thanks for sharing this great Stang and looking forward to continuing content on your this vehicle and your own GT500 when it arrives.

@@parksrob The C7 ZR1 is a great Supercar, but discountinued and soon to be old news. My guess is both cars would be close depending on tracks. I don't have top speed numbers for VIR straight aways, but the Shelby was hitting over 170 mph. The test was against the C8. The only comparison times I have are quarter mile runs. C7 (Base $121,000) ran 10.7 and the GT500 (Base $74,000) ran 10.6. For the price and bang for the buck. It's the Shelby hands down. Having owned a couple Vettes with the last one being a C5 convertible. The C3 build quality was terrible. The C5 was much improved. I see the Shelby GT500 as special. Great looks, performance and likely a vehicle that will maintain value. I currently own a 2019 black 300C Hemi. A white 2017 Edge Sport and a red 1995 SVT Mustang Cobra so I like cars and performance. Many replies I read only talk crap and likely drives daddy's car. Makes me wonder why I waste my free time responding to some of these ridiculous comments.

I'm sure by now you've seen Lund Racing's GT500 that they tuned that has basically sane cat bypass, tune on E85 with injectors, air filter removal pushing 803hp to the wheels at over 8000 RPM!

Lund was on E85 with injectors, air filter off etc. Obviously because it's their car the timing is going to be more aggressive on the tune. I rather not be on E85. Just not a fan and you go through much more fuel.

How much power / torque can the DCT take . The Tremec site says 664ftlb (900nm) is the safe limit . ?

Impressive the exhaust sounds great, hard to believe the owner walked away from his engine warranty on a car that cost that much so early. I would have waited a year to make sure it didn’t experience issues like allot of the gt350 motors have had before turning. Lund has already tuned one but hasn’t done the exhaust mod so your title is still good.

Predator block wont have the issues the voodoo did thats why the ones blowing up are getting it as the replacement but I DO worry about the trans....its costly the block is 2300 nothing to a 100k car

The ticking heard towards the end was a bike at the gas station. It revvs independently of the car after he says "it's finicky".
I really hope he was talking about injector CC when he said 1300 and not horsepower. 1300 hp at the flywheel would be over 1100whp and I don't see it without cracking the motor open. Not to mention the DCT transmission because that TVS2650 makes torque instantly.

It depends on the car and how easy it is to crack the ecu. Mustangs are the most iconic car ever made, they always have tuning available fast.

I love Muscle cars, 4 Mustang Mach 1's, 1 Trans Am, 2 Trans Am GTA's, 75 Pontiac Grand Am 455, Pontiac G8 GT, all heavily modified. I love to give them a better sound and free up the exhaust flow, however now it seems like everyone thinks louder is better and the loudest is best. But this just runs the risk of the Gov't clamping down on us and we don't want that, we want them to leave us alone. So, think about keeping it to a decent sound level and with all the high flowing cats these days their is no reason for cat deletes. Please, let's keep the fun going and keep the Gov't out of our lives! Have fun and keep the dirty side down! Merry Christmas and God Bless!

It basically means that even if you are " the first" it doesn't fucking matter, life is not gonna give you everything because you are the first, sometimes because you are the first you get things at the last moment or get the worst of that thing. Stangmode should be happy he even gets to do these things with Ford and go to these events, and i am pretty sure he is aware of that and he is happy with what he gets, that shows a lot more of how much a real humble and honest guy he is, he may want to be the first as everyone else, but he takes what he gets and makes the most out of it, that's the kind of guy he is. Saying that "HE DESERVES MORE!" just seems greedy and annoyingly biased to someone at a rate to give them whatever they want whenever they want because they are "holier then thou' kind of a person. He will get what he wants and he will get more in the future, that does not mean he will always be in the spotlight, it's just how the world works buddy, deal with it.
I have one issue. The car looks gorgeous but truly who in there right mind pays a extra 10k on strips! Ford seriously is killing people on that option.
Until you want to sell it 20 years down the road! That 10k option will add a ton more money to a collector due to rarity!

You do realize how much value the car gets with painted strips right ? Also Ford doesn't paint the strips themselves due to production restrictions/consistency, they do it at a special company that they take the cars to to get painted.
What I realize is that Stripes can add value not really. This car is going to be produced by the thousands and there will be plenty of them. You would need a track pack at least with the stripes and spend $105,000 minimum and put it in the garage for 20 years with no miles on it so you may collect a dollar more. Me on the other hand I prefer to drive the wheels off of it and even mod it to some degree.
You can’t even get the 10k painted on stripes unless you have a golden ticket allocation also needed for track pack. No ticket no allocation period.

@@Cronus_1 200 miles for break in on these cars. It's only a 1,000 if you're going to the road course/track since the engine will be under more stress for extended periods of time.

I like the c7 Corvette but honestly I'd rather have this over the c8 (we will see what the other trims of the c8 will be but I'm not too confident right now. Honestly in sure there are less numbers of the gt500 so I'm sure itll hold value better.
